On last night's episode of Off The Cuff Declassified, Colonel Rob Maness USAF (Ret.) who commanded bomber squadrons in the War on Terror joins me the future of Syria after the air strikes ordered by President Trump.
Rob explains that Assad is winning the civil war and will likely use chemical weapons again, even if its the result of prodding by Iran or Russia.
Allowing Assad to act with impunity will only strengthen Iran's position against Israel and grant Russia access to a warm water port. But Assad is also eliminating terrorist organizations like ISIS and al-Nusra, who pose a threat to the west.
It's a very complicated situation with no clear desirable outcome.
WATCH my interview to see why neither of us thinks Trump should pursue regime change in Syria.
