Did you ever think you'd see the day where joining a fantasy football league could get you suspended from school?
According to The Richmond Times Dispatch, five University of Richmond baseball players have been suspended indefinitely for playing fantasy football.
On February 17 the school issued a statement saying, “These five student-athletes will be ineligible for competition until the NCAA’s reinstatement process has been completed.”
As USA Today reports, the NCAA rulebook states, “Do not place a wager on any college or professional sporting event. This includes: Fantasy leagues, sports pools and March Madness brackets (if an entry fee is required and a prize is awarded).”
But how does college baseball factor in to fantasy football league? It's practically Dungeons and Dragons.
