The Asian American Alliance at Columbia University just put on an entertainment event called “CultureShock.” Sounds like it could be good, right? Finally, college students are defying political correctness! Of course, that’s not what happened…
The guest performer was Nimesh Patel, who was the first Indian-American in Saturday Night Live’s legendary writer’s room. A true pioneer, so you think the students would be thrilled, or at least respectful. Nope.
During his stand up set, Patel made a joke that, first of all, really isn’t much of a joke and secondly, made a leftist point about what they’re always calling “intersectionality."
For some reason, this made the students “uncomfortable” anyhow, and they cut his microphone. WATCH to hear this “offensive” “joke” and judge for yourself.
