Comedian Sarah Silverman Says She's 'Triggered' By American Flag

Rebel Staff

In the latest episode of Sarah Silverman's Hulu show, "I Love You, America With Sarah Silverman,” the leftwing comedian talks about how she was left “scared” and “shaken” when a former boyfriend put up an American Flag in his front yard. Despite the title of her show, it seems that patriotism and "American exceptionalism" is too much for this leftwing snowflake to bear.

Silverman opens the show with a monologue about the time her ex-boyfriend decided to raise an American Flag outside of his house, recalling how disturbed she was by the event.

“I had a boyfriend many years ago, he was my first boyfriend who had his own house, and one day I went outside to see what he was doing, and he was hoisting an American flag up the flagpole in his front yard,” she remembered. “And I instantly felt very weird. It didn’t make sense, but I felt this feeling of like, um, I felt scared – yeah, I felt scared. ”

Silverman said she asked him why he was putting the flag up, and he responded, “because I love America.”

“I was like, ‘Right, right, of course.’” she said. “But inside I was shaken.”

The comedian called her sister to explain what had happened, and her Rabbi sister told her that “nationalism is innately terrifying for Jews.”

“Right. Of course. Duh. It made sense,” Silverman asserted.

Silverman said later in the episode that patriotism is loving your country but nationalism is saying, ‘we’re number one,’ and is linked to xenophobia and racism.

“I fear that ‘We’re number one’ nationalism is really like an old bed buddy of racism and xenophobia,” she argued.

The leftwing has made it so that it's considered "offensive" and even "scary" to show love for one's own country. One can't even proudly hoist an American flag without "triggering" some leftwing snowflake.

In typical leftwing form, Silverman can't even explain why believing your country is "number one" is racist or xenophobic. She also can't vocalize why it was so offensive to her that her boyfriend wanted to fly the American flag in their front yard. Instead, she gets up on her privileged leftwing pedestal and turns up her nose at flag-waving Americans, acting like her reasons for being triggered by the flag are far too complex for their small minds to comprehend.

Patriots everywhere are sick of watching wealthy Hollywood left-wingers like Silverman bash the American flag before they go home to their Hollywood mansions. If the left has any hope of beating Trump in the 2020 election, they might want to get these privileged Hollywood liberals under control...

Her Rabbi sister represents a strain that is dying off at break neck speed. Another generation and they’ll be another footnote.

Silverman chose a typical liberal way to get her anti American anti Trump message out. No doubt there was no boyfriend, no house, no many years ago, no flag, no pole, no scared, no shaken. Just a fake story to base her rant. Never never trust a liberal.

She must be referring to her former boyfriend, Jimmy Kimmel. Who is now the poster hypocrite of Catholics, who with his show’s writer/producer = his wife, is using Catholicism for his own selfish and deceitful reasons = ratings, is a disgrace to Catholicism.

Let’s see if he announces the bombshell that the woman who charged Roy Moore was lying!
other articles on that website, eg ex-Jeb Bush staffer involved in fake new on Moore

She’s obviously not making any money in comedy, so she’s focusing more on tragedy. I wonder how much she’s being paid to sell out her country?

“Al Peterson commented 1 hour ago
No confusion at all, Andrew. Nice attempt to deflect. If Silverman is triggered by the flag she is welcome to go somewhere where the Stars and Stripes doesn’t fly. "

She’s not “triggered”. It was a joke.

Sarah Silverman is an example of the perpetually confused SJW.

What’s the difference between this alleged “comedian” and the resident troll of many monikers/aliases? The troll is actually funny.

In other news, the Rebel once again confuses satire with actual news.
