Conservative activist’s ironic run for NDP nomination exposes party’s radical views (Guest: Cory Morgan)

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Imagine a political party so far left they call austerity - the concept of government watching pennies and spending only when it needs to - a “fossilized form of thinking” that has become a “threat to all life on Earth”.

Imagine a political party that wanted to end military spending altogether, or turn the inefficient post office into a government run bank, getting traction in Canada.

That party would be too far left even for the far left Canadian mainstream media to take seriously.

Except, those wacky plans are from the Leap Manifesto and other resolutions that have been embraced by the NDP.

My guest tonight is running on those crazy ideas and more in his political campaign to win the NDP nomination for Banff-Kananaskis highlighting their best worst ideas, and the NDP are his biggest resistance.

The problem lies in the fact that he’s a long time conservative activist and business owner from Southern Alberta who’s using the NDP's own language to expose just how insane they really are.

It’s brilliant!

Cory Morgan joins me to talk about his tongue-in-cheek political campaign and the outbreak of violent crime plaguing Alberta's rural communities.

Corry needs to have the NDP bann ALL light bulbs. That way, we’ll be in the dark. And people must surrender ALL locks and alarm systems since criminals are victims of the system. They can’t use some outmoded ability called self control. Evolution has given them the need to steal, murder, and rape. Since the NDP is secular, no Christian morals such as loving one’s neighbour and not murdering must be eliminated. Except for government workers, nobody should be allowed to use natural gas but rely upon wind and solar power. It should also be illegal and punishable by death to note that solar and wind don’t work on bitterly cold winter nights when there’s no wind and the batteries run down. As Ebenezer Scrooge noted, “Let them die if they be likely to dye and decrease the surplus population.”

The LEAP Manifesto was never endorsed by the NDP; they suggested it be used as a constituency discussion document. The Manifesto was denounced by Rachel Notley and Shannon Phillips. The Manifesto appeared in September 2015 shortly after the April 30, 2015 release of CEGN’s “En Route to a Low-Carbon Future” report which LEAP slavishly obeys. The Canadian Environmental Grant-makers Network’s report was co-funded by the Bronfmans, Iveys, McConnells and four other pillar dynasties of the central Canadian establishment. Still lookin’ for them commies Sheila and Cory are on about.

Rural Albertans should just follow Ralph Klein’s advice: shoot, shovel, and shut up.

This Looney tune runs for whatever party will accept gim. He already unsuccessfully ran under the Alberta Independence Party and before that the Separation Party of Alberta.

I am glad he is smoking out Cam Westhead who wouldn’t stand a chance if he ran in the new Cochrane/Airdrie riding that was split off from Banff/Airdrie.

Cory Morgan is taking an interesting approach to say the least. If the NDP buys into garbage like the Leap Manifesto then they should put that front & center. Otherwise they’re admitting that it’s extremist nonsense that they want to keep hidden.

The leap manifesto is communist. End of story.
