Conservative fundraising threatened by Alberta NDP

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

The Alberta NDP is now looking at cracking down on political action committees even though they said they weren’t as recently as three weeks ago.

Although the NDP capped corporate and union donations directly to the political parties, they did not cap third party spending on elections.

Alberta legislation also does not prevent labour unions from loaning workers to political parties during campaigns. Convenient stuff for the union supported NDP.

PACs popped up all over the place this year, in support of conservative unity, in support of Jason Kenny, in support of Brian Jean, even one in support of Derek Fildebrandt.

And for good reason.

What PACs really are is the right wing answer to the money big unions are able to spend as third parties advertising in Alberta’s elections.

And that’s why the NDP wants to crack down on them.

Labour Minister Christina Gray wants to draft new legislation to deal with PACs and told the Globe and Mail that the NDP is not affiliated with any outside operation. I fact checked that.

Check out my video to see what I found in the NDP’s constitution about their affiliations.

PACS are raising and spending a ton of money in support of defeating to the NDP so the NDP is going to use the power of government legislation to take the one thing that levels the playing field against unions spending their mandatory dues on left wing politics. It's conniving.

The NDP are against big money in politics, that's for sure.

But just the voluntary right wing kind.

Great report Sheila – thanks!

So if labour are part of the party, they should in no way be pretending otherwise and their advertising dollars must be considered part of the party’s advertising budget. For the NDP to go into the media and mislead the public like that is a form of mischief, and charges should be filed.

“Why are these NDPigs always fat and soft and look like they have never worked a hard day in their lives?”
Because they never did Drew? And nobody would hire a whale like that to even hold up a road sign in a construction zone because of 1 lane width limit

Daryl Herman all the idiot who voted for the NDP have some deluded fantasy that others will be their slaves and they can have all the benefits of capitalism without any of the work.

Bill Elder you got that right, they are just tinpot dictators and little else.

In short, the Non-Democratic Party is being non-democratic. They cannot shut down opposition overtly like Cuba and Venezuela in Alberta, but they will certainly try covertly. Much like when they tried to deny freedom of the press to The Rebel by declaring it as not being press.

Another reason the NDP want to make this move is, if a new party forms tomorrow, both parent parties will have war chests that cannot be transferred to the new party. However, the chests can be used by the residual parties for third party funding. W/R has a decent sized war chest that the NDP do not want used.

Forgive them, they know not what they do. Better still, shoot the Bastards who run or work for our Educational System, this would stop the Marxist brainwashing, that is rampant in our Schools. Marxist Socialism would eventually die out as a result of this action.

These communist cucks need to be kicked to a curb , preferably in Venezuela .

It’s a shame so many Canadians are brainwashed by the Notley/Trudeau crew via the MSM puppets. I bet you if Canadians could just take 10% of their news-watching time and listen to the Rebel, the age of enlightenment would begin and all would realize that the NDP/Liberals are pushing us irreversibly into leftist and fascist dictatorial governance.

Bill Elder, ain’t that the truth!

THe DIPs are just Soviets in slo-mo – they have the same degenerate amoralism of their mentors when it comes to keeping power – all options are on the table including criminal and quasi-criminal options – never trust or turn your back on a socialist, you’ll get a knife in it gratis.

By the time this Nutley witch gets done with Alberta – there will be nothing left but heavy debt & bird killing solar panels & windmills & empty houses. Sure hope all the lunatics who voted for this Marxist, regressive government have lots of $$ – as they will need it to pay the higher taxes which will inevitably come due to all the people & businesses leaving Alberta.
