Conservative politicians “threw 3000 Alberta voters under the bus” after Rebel rally

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

We rarely take a clip of my premium nightly show "outside the paywall" and make it widely available. However, as promised, I'm doing that right here, because the message in last night's monologue is one I think many people want, and need, to hear.

It's bad enough that the NDP, and the Media Party, lied about what happened at our anti-carbon tax rally at the Edmonton Legislature on Saturday.

What's worse is that the very people who have the power to help these hurting Albertans — these farmers and workers whose livelihoods are being destroyed by Notley's government — turned on them, too.

I'm talking about the conservative politicians — two of them even spoke at the rally! — who rushed to disassociate themselves with us, and with Alberta's "forgotten men and women", as soon as the Media Party and other fancy people pretended to be offended over a chant at the event.

The chant was a joke. It took up 20 seconds of a two hour rally. Real world problems need to be debated and addressed, but Brian Jean and other politicians took the elites' bait and complained about some folks chanting "Lock her up" to let off steam.

It's shameful.

But we know whose side we're on...

That's why the Rebel is hosting another rally, this time in Calgary, this weekend. CLICK HERE for all the details. Please join us!

PS: I invite you to become a Premium Member of The Rebel if you aren't already.

Along with getting to watch my show every night, we also have programs hosted by Faith Goldy, Gavin McInnes, Lauren Southern and Tiffany Gabbay.

You can even choose from THREE membership levels — Sign up HERE!

You’re the best Ezra! Keep growing the Rebel and getting under the skin of Canadian elites. The only MSM I pay attention to any longer is the National Post and that is only because of the Financial Post.

The condescending NP writers are mentioning the Rebel more and more. You’re getting to them and I love it.

You’re being conned, Ezra doesn’t give a rats ass about you, all he cares about is Ezra..

He’s a Circus barker, nothing more, he tells half truths & fills his columns with innuendos, never actually lying, just implying a falsehood is an art to Mr Levant…he desperately wants to change our political landscape to mirror the American’s divisive politics, ‘Lock her up’??? he can’t even come up with his own catch phrase…

These fucking idiot apologists don’t know why Trump got elected. Because he is not a politician and doesn’t do the politician thing by throwing these people under the bus in the name of political correctness. It is disheartening to see Conservative politicians trying to appease the cry babies of the media and the left. I wish more of our politicians were not doing the save their career thing and actually supported the people who elect them into their cushy paying jobs just so they can give PC answers to questions and down call anyone who expresses frustration with government policy. They can all go straight to hell. I’m on the side of the “Pigs” motherfuckers!! I prefer people who work for their pay than just suck it off of our taxes to express how outraged they are when feelings get hurt. Now fuck off politicians and grow some balls.

One of Ezra’s best. Great post!

Yeah, looks like Canada doesn’t have any proper candidates for the conservative leadership position based on the liberal and/or NDP ass kissing comments by Ambrose, Jean, Alexander or Kenney. They don’t have the working people’s best interests in mind. They should have shown some support for these unemployed people in Alberta. Canada deserves to have a Trump like leader of the conservative party, not another mealy mouthed appeaser for everyone and everything that goes against practically all normal basic Canadian values.
Hey Ezra, language and was that a T.O. snob accent there at the end? lol

Dale Evjen, great post by Suzanne Malmberg Douglas‎ on Facebook group: Albertans Fed Up With The NDP. It should be forwarded to all who so quickly jumped to throw us under the bus. Bloody shame on them!
I also wonder about all those who are staying mum. Leitch, Speer, Bernier etc. Does this mean they have no interest in standing up for Albertans too? Are they more interested in the Laurentian elites and the SJW’s opinion that we are but a small minority of deplorables? Too uncouth to bother with?

TERRENCE FITZPATRICK.::
Its great to be an armchair quarterback. Have you been there? If no, then just shut up.
I have been there, and whether it was 3000, or 2995, or 3009 should be totally irrelevant for you.
Why do come to this site? You said you do not like Ezra, but the good thing is you are against the carbon tax.
What solutions do you offer? Just sit in your armchair, drink beer, and wait for Americans or someone else to do something about it. And criticize him/her.
Well, at least you should appreciate the effort of the people who are trying to do something about it.
I am not sure that you are even an ALBERTAN. People from Alberta are always the ones who like to lead, or do something and solve the problems. These are the people Alberta needs now.
We need thousands of people like Ezra with passion, to standup against the lying mainstream media, against climate change wackos, against the Notley NDP and Liberal TROUDOPS of this world entitled elitists destroying this province and this country.

Rachel Notley is “offended” by some words chanted on the steps of the Legislature building. Those words, “lock her up”, which were intended for Elizabeth May, who publicly stated she is willing to go to jail to impede the progress of oil and gas companies. Well, Madam Premier, being offended is a personal choice. Perhaps the people would not respond to your particular brand of oligarchy with such “unCanadian” hostility if you were to govern with principle. What a refreshing change it would be. Rather than name-calling and mocking us, you could start by serving the people. And loving the people. Leading by love is the proper way to govern. And you have never done that.

Terrence Fitzpatrick!! Were you there? Can you count past 100?

I wouldn’t doubt that more than 3000 people were there from time to time. I was about ½ an hour late as were a number of others and I saw many people leave early because standing outside in sub-zero weather for more than an hour is not all that comfortable.

And like a ‘Letter to the Editor’, I would venture that the ratio of those who are totally incensed by the ‘Carbon Tax’ and those who had the temerity to show up on a winter day could easily be 500:1 !!
commented 2016-12-08 14:01:06 -0500
by the headline Mr Levant is doing what he always does, he’s implying a falsehood without actually lying, 3000 people!?!
More like a 150…

He did the same thing @ Stanley Park in Vancouver a few years back, it was a rally against (place fake outrage here), there was maybe 40 people in the audience & most of them didn’t seem to be part of the rally but Mr Levant implied that the rally was a success even though it was a rainy day, he made the startlingly inaccurate statement about the size of the rally, he said there hundred of people there, no that wasn’t a typo, he purposely said hundred & not hundreds, it’s his sleazy way of trying to create a non existent support for him & his ilk…

I don’t agree with a carbon tax, not because of what Ezra says but because we (Canada) don’t need it & it’s a waste of money, if the Americans aren’t on board than anything we do is simply for show, show that will cost Canadians jobs & money…

Klem said… "If the Conservatives won’t eliminate the carbon tax, then they are effectively FOR the carbon tax. "
-—————————
Brad Trost will repeal that bill as well as many others that are anti-Canadian..
Brad Trost is a prairie boy that wasn’t raised in a rich family in an entitled neighborhood addicted to spending other People’s Money..!
Brad Trost is also a true conservative and will be speaking in Calgary on the 11th as well as
Derric Fildebrandt ..

Jay Kelly lied again saying “They can not be drawn into low-level bigotry just because he says so.”

What is bigoted about hosting a rally against the carbon tax?

I wonder why people like Jay Kelly are such prolific liars. What does Jay Kelly have to gain by lying?

Folks, have a good look at Erin O’toole for the Conservative Party leadership. He seems to have an intelligence and a reasonableness that the others don’t. Maybe it’s maturity.

He did bring order to Veterans Affairs after Farantino made such a mess of things.

Rona Ambrose is just a soft conservative , she could be a liberalz any time she could, her support of the carbon tax and market control of pricing in the milk industry , Max. Bernier is the one a true cons.
commented 2016-12-08 08:47:10 -0500
Right across the country Conservatives claim that they are against the carbon tax, but I have yet to hear any of them say they will dismantle and eliminate the carbon tax once they are elected.

I can’t distinguish the Conservatives from the Liberals on carbon taxes, they don’t have the backbone to take a stand.

If the Conservatives won’t eliminate the carbon tax, then they are effectively FOR the carbon tax.

We need a new Conservative party in this country, made up of true conservatives, not CINOs.

I’ve read several people on Twitter, Youtube and elsewhere who claimed that Ezra Levant is just a showman and a phony. That his “concern” for ordinary Albertans and Canadians is a sham. All I can say to that is, if Ezra is acting, he should darn well get an Academy Award. Ezra, you and the Rebel have my unqualified support .
commented 2016-12-08 02:10:38 -0500
The rebel should start selling shirts and hats that read lock her up on them.

Jay Kelly:
If anyone is is LOW-LEVEL BIGOT, it’s you. Nobody is telling you that you must join the REBEL. Why are you lurking here?
18 months ago nobody would give Donald Trump any chance against the so called professional politicians. And despite of all the mud thrown at him from the left/right and centre he persevered and became the President of USA.
About a year ago UK PM David Cameron was so sure of his stand against the BREXIT, that he allowed people of UK to decide. Wow, that was a great exercise of democracy. David Cameron stepped down, because his ELITIST party did not get the feel of what the people of UK wanted , after being in power for over six years. Brits voted for BREXIT. Despite all the gloom and doom predicted by the elitist media and their masters the World did not end.
I am just trying to tell you that the other side is throwing everything at US and they ask us to take it and be nice. Because this is such a Canadian way of being spat on and saying THANK you.
And we say ENOUGH!!! We are not going to take it anymore.
Free speech and free expression, and and protest against the government that is killing this province is our right. And no LIEBERAL media or some IDIOT, spineless politician is going to stop us.
They take their power from the people. We do not need them. They need us.
You may as well take your time and wait for the next train with Brian Jean or Jason Kenny, who are politically correct opportunists that love to lead the sheep to the slaughterhouse.

After being at the rally and seeing Ezra’s show about the BS polotical hype i feel good about scaping the 8 bucks a month to support him my family reallu can’t afford. I feel so small admitting 8$ is a value which i am aware for my family. God bless Rebel Media

Finally some great uplifting speech from Ezra. The passion heard in your speech has made me pull the trigger and donate to our cause to support Rebel.
And to all the rebels here, we have to phone in to all radio shows in Calgary and Edmonton to stand up against the LIEberal media. I did my share and called into QR770 afternoon show.
I am so disgusted with spineless “leaders” like Brian Jean from Wild Rose, Jason Kenny and Rona Ambrose from PC. These people are just hypocritical liars and political opportunists not REAL leaders.
I went to the rally in Edmonton and it was a great crowd. We had fun chanting “lock her up”. It was very spontaneous chant to the speech of Chris Alexander. I just could not belive on Monday all the bruhaha
on mainstream politically correct media. They will not allow people to have fun, if it does not conform to LIEBERALs standards. Chris Alexander and Brian Jean should be ashamed of themselves. The video clearly shows the liar enjoying the spontaneous crowd reaction while he is speaking. But in the media he and Brian Jean just throw us under the bus. Brian Jean can kiss goodbye our family support. These are the times when the real leaders shine, and the opportunistic liars are being exposed.
GOD BLESS THE REPUBLIC of ALBERTA!!!

LEVITICUS you say with respect to Fildebrandt, “I’m sure he will have quite the rebuttal for the conservatives who abandoned us for fear of tarnishing their precious career”. You think he will direct such a rebuttal towards his leader Brian Jean as well? Or just stepping in to try to gain some ground back that the Wildrise lost? Should be interesting.
commented 2016-12-07 23:58:49 -0500
Ezra Levant feels that a good number of Albertans can be drawn into this because of where they live and who they are.

He is wrong. Albertans are just as well-informed and astute as any Canadians.

They can not be drawn into low-level bigotry just because he says so.
commented 2016-12-07 23:34:13 -0500
Dave Grohn..
Brian Jean does not represent all of what the wild Rose is…
Brian Jean has proved himself unable to provide any kind of leadership when the road gets a little bumpy…
Derric fildebrandt is more than willing to represent the people who support him and he’s not worried about politically correct moments or a tarnished career because he knows the true support doesn’t come from the media but comes from the voters themselves.
The Wild Rose is still the only way to go but I encourage everybody to get a membership and vote Brian Jean out as the leader and vote in
Derric Fildebrandt..
Please show up at Calgary on the 11th to hear what this gentleman has to say and I’m sure he will have quite the rebuttal for the conservatives who abandoned us for fear of tarnishing their precious careers… I’m sure that Derric will not do that and he will speak to it..
If we do not stay the course and continue down this path as much as we are angry right now we certainly do not want another four years of Rachel Notley.!!!

The PCs are so afraid of appearing like the Trumpian campaign because they could never deliver what he said he will and has already delivered.

I just sent this video to Rona Ambrose.

Got an email today from Michael Chong’s campaign, self-righteously declaring:
“We have another candidate who stood idly by as protesters chanted to lock up a democratically elected Premier. I understand the pain that is being experienced by many from the economic downturn in Alberta and the policies of the NDP government. But that doesn’t excuse not immediately condemning undemocratic calls more worthy of a dictatorship. (?)These Trump style tactics (?) only serve to divide our party. And when we are divided and when we stoke division, we lose. We learned that lesson in the 2015 federal election”.
What a loser and also has his own plan for a carbon tax (Liberal Lite)!

Great that Brad Trost will be attending the Calgary rally! Wildrose’s Derek Fildrebrandt will be there as well. That’s going to be interesting. Trying to recover ground lost by Wildrose because of Jean’s wimpiness? I sure hope that he isn’t coming to apologize for Jean.

I haven’t heard much from The Rebel Media since they went to a Pay site, but I forgot how much I love this guy. This is one of the only rally’s I wanted to attend since the Liberals and NDP tried to pull the rug out from under Stephen Harper when he prerogued parliament. I love that Ezra called out the Conservatives along with everyone else. I feel a kinship with him and the protesters who are so sick and tired of these elites who look down on us like we are little ants that need to be stomped out of existence. I heard the news on Sunday, on CHED radio, and the story was all about the “lock her up” chant. No time was given to the plight of the average Albertan. Our carbon tax was born at Cop 21 in Paris and now our economy is being directed by the bozo’s at the UN. She claimed that now Alberta will be admired by the rest of the world because we’ve got such a repressive carbon tax. But after Trudeau’s announcement of which pipeline proposals he has touched with his magic sceptor, greenpeace, native bands, et al, still hate us. These groups don’t show any inclination to let these projects proceed without their professional protests. WHO CARES what non-Albertan’s think about us! How does a group of foreign elites like the UN get away with dictating our political policy and meddling with our economy. Ezra appears to be the only person, with a good amount of followers, that has the balls to speak the truth.

after everything I have seen there is no doubt I will be getting a membership at rebel in the new year. I’m not so sure about a wildrose party membership or PC, they showed their true colors. I have called for a civil war right from the beginning and that idea hasn’t changed, for that matter it looks like one could easily happen if this crap gets any worse. there are a lot more of us than there are of them. if an armed insurrection starts I am with it all the way. I suggest blockades of major roadways and railways preventing any cargo to be shipped through Alberta’s territory, the armed takeover of all major government buildings, shutting off any pipelines and other resource exports from this province, stop any transfer payments and taxation to go to the federal government and have a total noncompliance with all laws where we would have to take it over under our own jurisdiction. this will take place until our demands are met like all current government officials “federal and provincial” of our choosing get fired from their careers, the addition of guns added to the constitution like the states has, and firewalls to be put around Alberta or to declare Alberta a republic. I am sure many other people would have more to add to these demands. I would welcome a hostile take over. it’s time the powers to be had a wake up call.
commented 2016-12-07 22:14:28 -0500
I wasn’t even there and I feel like I got run over by the bus. Brian Jean just gave NDP rope to hang him and the Party with by not standing up to them or reserving comment. He Jason and Rona can kiss off if they want any donations or support. Same for Alexander, Chong and the rest.
