CPC leadership candidate O’Toole’s CANZUK proposal has young conservatives intrigued

Christopher WilsonRebel Commentator

With 14 candidates in the running it has been hard for both Conservative Party members and the candidates to see how they differentiate themselves from one another.

For one candidate, their service in the military, and their military policy going forward could be something they find that resonates with conservatives. That candidate is Erin O’Toole.

One of only two candidates to have served in the Canadian Forces, O'Toole has also been promoting CANZUK, a concept to improve freedom of movement, trade, and political co-operation between Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Watch as O’Toole explains the CANZUK concept, the procurement of both naval vessels and fighter jets — and his promise to scrap any carbon tax.

O’Toole is it tool and a hypocrite.!!
He demands tolerance from us and shows very little of it himself.!!
Canadians have been tolerant to the point where the country has had a demographic shift.!!
I do not hear too much from Brad Trost for one reason or another and he has been my favorite but I think my list is down to two.
Lemieux and Scheer.
Both I believe support property rights as well as private ownership and they whole heartedly support law-abiding fire arm owning citizens of this country..!

Well Jamie McMaster, i was going to rebut your statement in free speech but others have already done that for me. Ill just say that he has definietly spoken up for free speech. Just look on this site and you will find it. You are correct in that he hasnt commented on property rights. Only Andrew Scheer has spoken to that, to my knowledge.

I wasnt making a campaign pitch. I was merely pointing out that chris had it wrong when he said otoole was the only candidate that served in the Armed Forces. Just trying to put the correct info out there.

He said those countries share values and politics, but they have also been shifted through mass immigration/migration and are no longer the same countries they were, even in say the mid Harper era.

Rebelation, sorry

Rebalation, that is also a worry. These trade deals seem to be as much about population trade as the trade of goods and services.

Right Jon. Christopher what are you talking about, that O’toole is the only candidate who has been in the armed forces?? Not so.
Pierre Lemieux has 20 years of military service experience, leaving at the age of 37 as a senior rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.

I’m not sure if this is the ‘season’ for big broad reaching trade deals. I want to see how Trumps individual deals go. Not sure about locking in any more. O’toole was in the Harper government and has good economic experience but it is a different world now.

He did attempt to talk Irqa Khalid into omitting the term ‘islamophobia’ from her m-103. Irqa acted mortally insulted, big surprise. While it was a nice try at negotiation, I want to see the motion dismissed in it’s entirely. Omitting ‘islamophobia’ does not go far enough to stopping this sharia creep in it’s tracks.
In the debate in Halifax he was on the scolding bandwagon shaking his finger and warning Canadians against intolerance, by saying over and over that we must be, and he wouldn’t condone any discrimination, as if it was ever a problem. Just the same media fed crap. I want to know if the man has read the koran.

It’s not unique, it’s just a mini European Union. We don’t need Britain’s muslim extremists coming here thank you!!

Yup, Pierre Lemieux was in the military, JON COUPLAND. But he’s still a zero when it comes to property rights and freedom of speech.

Sure, why wouldn’t we want migrants from Australia and the UK streaming into Canada and then swarming the US. If we were stupid enough to do this there would be a northern wall in no time and getting into the US would be 10 times the pain in the ass it is now. Back to the tool shed on that one.

Still Brad Trost as far as I am concerned.

Interesting that O’Toole didn’t correct Chris about being the only candidate who served in the military. I’m sure he must be aware that Lemieux did as well.

You are forgetting that Pierre Lemieux was also a member of the armed forces (air force) for 21 years. http://www.pierrelemieux.ca/about
