CPC MP Shannon Stubbs: Liberals carbon tax will devastate those “already operating on the edge”

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

A new estimate from the Saskatchewan government shows that the cost of the unilaterally imposed job killing carbon tax on farming families will be devastating.

The cost of the Liberals new tax on life will be close to $10,000 per year for smaller farms. For larger commercial operations, which are still mostly family run, the cost will be closer to $100,000 per year. The cost of tractor and truck fuel, barn and shop heating and electricity, grain dryers, fertilizer and other inputs as well as commercial trucking and grain freight are all set to skyrocket hurting farms and consumers all the way down the supply chain.

I caught up to rising star Conservative MP Shannon Stubbs at the Vegreville rodeo grounds to have a talk about agriculture and the carbon tax.

Watch my video to see Stubbs’ comments about the impact of the tax on local producers and those Albertans who live with a foot in both agriculture and oil and gas to makes ends meet.

These Liberals who ride their bikes to the grocery store for free trade coffee beans because they care about the farmers in Colombia, don’t understand that their carbon tax will be hurting the very people who grow their food and truly tend the land here in Canada.

They’re just that out of touch with the West.

No one in the east gives a damn.

The big talk right now is yet another gift from the tax payer to the friends of the LIEberals – A billion bucks to Bombardier.

Heard last week in Toronto – “Let those fu*king Albertans bitch all they want – nothing but a bunch of polluting basta*ds”

Yeah – this took place around the 10’th floor in an elevator – two suits who looked like they could buy us all were complaining about the “tar sands”.

They did not like my response – it made the elevator go very quiet very quickly.

Bill elder… Maybe you misunderstood me but I was agreeing with you…
And I like the statement that you made so much that I quoted you.

As Peter N. said, " they just don’t give a damn"
I don’t believe it is that they ’don’t understand’, it is pay back.. They know that many farmers are, as you have pointed out, oil patch workers as well. Just like the oil they will need to use, the food they will need to eat will be brought in from other countries. What food is Canadian grown will just cost more and tough nuts, they don’t care. Like a stupid liberal relative of mine recently pointed out, they(the elites) don’t mind paying to be ‘green’. They don’t care that not everyone can afford to be so morally vain.
It is short sighted though. Their skewed formula cannot be sustained.

What this will do is open up a huge black market to circumvent the Carbon Tax.

Maybe rural Albertans need to use more public transit. Argh, someone is gonna snap and my excuse will be that they didn’t care about people’s lives so why should I?

Even less do the Liberals care about Albertans. Many of them actively despise Albertans, the airhead PM being one.

Sure, Sheila, the NDP are out of touch with rural Albertans, but more to the point is that they just don’t give a damn.

I guess it is time for a new Canada-Russia wheat deal. Except this time it will be Canada buying Russian wheat to make up the short fall of socialist economic policies of Baby Doc as opposed to the old wheat deal where Canada sold Russia wheat due to the shortfall caused by Socialist Stalinism.

I keep seeing reactions from angered westerners about separation – forget it – it’s not time, maybe ultimately this will have to be, but there is groundwork to do as a western block coalition movement first.

concentrate on keeping a larger contingent in the CPC , if we get shut out of leadership and the party exec (and this appears to be happening) – it’s time to pull out of the CPC and form a western block party. Get it in at provincial level and have sitting western MPs cross the isle to sit as WBP MPs.

This will give the west far more leverage in public policy than we have supporting any eastern-based coalition party. But the work needs to be done at the provincial level first. New parties are formed or rebranded in the west routinely, it’s part of our political history.

I think we have to look at more regional autonomy and policy solutions and do it as a block – this can be done in confederation or arms length from it. If the eastern political oligarchy is going to play divide and conquer federal politics, its best to beat them at their own game.

This is all strategic and pre meditated.
Trudeau is deliberately trying to destroy the middle class. He wants only 2 social classes. Rich, and poor.
The poor will vastly outnumber the rich and will be dependent on government subsidies and handouts in order to survive. Despite the fact that the liberals are directly responsible for destroying the economy, they will market themselves as the saviours of the poor with more subsidies and handouts. And… since Canada is a regressive country whose population is getting dumber by the day, the liberals are likely to get away with it.

Guess what Sheila, they don’t care how many people they destroy or kill. Their evil ideology is all that matters.

If she is popular and has the following maybe she would consider the benefits of western separation.
I will campaign, donate financial resources and my time not to mention vote for any western party that supports separation..!!!

So will I.

Absoluetly! This tax is a tax on everything – it will be passed down the supply chain to the end user as increased cot of goods – primarily food, travel, consumer goods and home utilities – single parent families, marginally employed and seniors on fixed income will be devistated – expect 20% -150% cost increases in food and consumer goods – tax based inflation.

The lie of this being revenue neutral is a self-evident lie – this tax increases the cost of production and delivery of all consumer goods.

Canadians have not come to realize the cost to the economy. It will take a few years for the ripple effect to hit Toronto and Montreal. With increased cost comes decreased competitiveness and a resulting hit on exports. With the open markets Canadians will buy even more food from the States and Mexico. The death spiral of the economy has barely begun.

As an aside: I will never vote for a party with Progressive in its name.
