1. Austria: School Class Without a Single German-Speaking Child
The Mayor of Vienna Neustadt is alarmed and demands immediate help from the Education Ministry
The city of Vienna Neustadt is facing an educational and political mess. A cry for help from the mayor Klaus Schneeberger (ÖVP) towards the Education ministry shows the dramatic situation. For the first time there is a preschool class (the Otto Glöckel-School) where not a single child speaks German as his mother tongue. The average of children with a foreign native language in preschool classes is already at an alarming 80.33%, says Schneeberger. […] Already, in eight of seventeen kindergartens and five of eight elementary schools the proportion of children with a foreign native language has surpassed 50%. In high schools the number is already at 56.64%.
2. Hungary begins second line of fence on border with Serbia
(Read this article from the German publication, DW, slowly. They appear to spend more column inches demonizing Viktor Orban, the most important spokesman for classical liberalism in Europe today, than actually discussing the new fence or why it is needed.)
A government spokesman confirmed on Monday that Hungary was building an additional fence along its southern border with Serbia. The announcement came as a chorus of criticism increases from activists and members of the EU about the state of human rights under Orban.
As the head of the country's right-wing government, Orban, a supporter of Donald Trump, has made halting the flow of migrants into Hungary one of his top priorities. He suggested in September 2016 that he was planning the construction of a second barrier along the Serbian border, insisting that "one fence is not enough.”
Here is a video from the partially European Union funded, far left wing news group, Euronews, on the fence. Notice the same spin:
3. Open letter/video by openly homosexual man to the future prime minister of the Netherlands, who he must hope is Geert Wilders
(In this video, this man talks about being assaulted and otherwise tormented by Muslims in the Netherlands because of his homosexuality. He also explains that teachers can no longer teach about homosexual people, or about the historical facts of the Holocaust in the classrooms, due to Islamic intolerance of both.)
Allowing different cultures into the Netherlands is fine, but not at our own expense. I am openly gay, and I sense that this is an issue in the Netherlands.
I have had nasty experiences in this neighbourhood. Those experiences amount to discrimination, verbal abuse and getting beaten up twice. […] I hear and read that teachers are no longer able to openly teach about homosexuality and the holocaust in their classrooms, because of a certain ideology Islam adheres to. This makes me wonder: are we still in control of our own country?
Especially as a homosexual man, this applies to me. Will I still be able to be openly gay? Or do I have to go back in the closet? And that is something I’m really worried about.
(The article continues with various reactions to his video plea.)
4. A massive uptick in anti-Semitic acts of vandalism in the US in the past short while
But none of the graffiti referred to is shown by the BBC. Photos of the graffiti would go a long way to identifying the people who did it via syntax, spelling errors and stated motives, so it's odd to say the least that they are scrubbed from the story.
Quite Soviet in fact.
The story is all across the MSM. But in many cases seems to be blamed on Donald Trump somehow, and then, as in this BBC article, turned around to become about Islamophobia.
5. Islamic State video showing Uighur (Chinese Muslims) training for jihad
They seem to range from quite young to older. Best watch quickly as IS videos are removed fast generally.
