The application was refused on the basis of parking issues. But Lynch's Justice department has decided to intervene.
The US Department of Justice is investigating the local authority of Sterling Heights, Michigan, after they denied the application to build the place of worship, claiming they were discriminating against Muslims in the area.
But while it was the first time Sterling Heights had rejected plans to build a religious building for a decade, they claim the reasons were a matter of practicality.
They claim planning permission was denied because of the size and height of the building, as well as lack of “harmony” with the neighbourhood and concerns the plans did not provide sufficient parking.
Microsoft has decided to jump on the "anti-Islamophobia" bandwagon and try and misrepresent it by trying to recreate that fantastic Coca Cola add from the 1970s.
CBS tries it in a less subtle way. You can watch their version at Jihad Watch.
2. The bona-fide fascists, self titled as "Anti-fa," have planned a march against Donald Trump and his followers, who they horrifically mischaracterize, for Vancouver.
The poster reads as follows:
Those that do not agree with ANTIFA or its definitions and labels, must not be allowed to express their opinions. Traditionally, that is fascism, although unlike true fascists, ANTIFA would never be able to get the trains to run on time.
The poster goes on to say things which quite likely would result in criminal hate speech charges if they were said against any other group. An enlarged version can be seen here.
3. Five female airport guards have been gunned down in Afghanistan.
Even the far left wing Euronews had to point out that this is a setback to women's rights in Afghanistan.
What they didn't mention was that women's rights in Afghanistan consistently moved forward under Bush's policies of defeating the Taliban, and have moved consistently backwards under Obama's policies of detente.
The French interior ministry has ruled out the cause of the fire as a racist attack, as they concluded the inferno was probably motivated by an internal dispute. [...]
"One of the injured is suspected of being the arsonist,” the interior ministry said.
The school’s headteacher, Abdelfattah Rahhaoui, has also been handed a four-month suspended jail sentence banning from from teaching at any school or educational setting again.
Al-Badr primary school, which is located in Toulouse, southwest France, first opened its doors in September 2013. Since then, more than 100 Muslims had enrolled their children – aged two to 12 – at the controversial school. [...]
Mr Rahhaoui’s lawyer, Hidem Droua, argued the sentence was manifestly excessive and “out of proportion to the seriousness of the offence that was committed” after judges said that the school was to be closed “immediately”.
Perhaps Hidem should read the Quran a little more closely. If you replaced the word, "unbeliever" (in all its various guises) in the Quran with any other group, perhaps especially with the word, "Muslims," you would find yourself in jail for hate speech rather quickly.
Surely the vilest of animals in Allah's sight are those who disbelieve, then they would not believe. (8:55)
The Hadiths are worse.
"A group of Israelites were lost. Nobody knows what they did. But I do not see them except that they were cursed and changed into rats, for if you put the milk of a she-camel in front of a rat, it will not drink it, but if the milk of a sheep is put in front of it, it will drink it."
Try reading that in a public setting, except about Muslims.
