1. Turkey: Hours after the Russian Ambassador was shot dead today by a gunmen screaming "Allah hu Ackbar," several shots where fired at the American Embassy in Ankara.
A man has been detained after trying to enter the US Embassy in Ankara with a shotgun, just hours after a Russian ambassador was shot dead in the city.
The Embassy was placed on lockdown after the man - who was reportedly named Sahir S in the Turkish state press - approached the Embassy with a gun at around 4:30am local time.
2. Greece: Three buses torched in Athens
Local media have reported that three people have been wounded at the religious building in the centre of the city.
There are no details yet as to the severity of the injuries or the motive behind the attack.
Zurich Police said several people had been hurt in the vicinity of the centre but would not release any more details.
