Loblaws calls cops on David Menzies over “Buy Your Own Fridges” petition

David MenziesMission Specialist

Taking it all the way to the soy milk coolers!

So far, thousands of people have already signed our BuyYourOwnFridges.com petition, demanding that the bread-price cheats at Loblaws return the $12 million in taxpayer money that the Trudeau Liberals recently gave the multi-billion dollar conglomerate so that it could buy new energy-efficient refrigeration units.

We recently visited the Loblaws Toronto flagship store to garner more signatures with our old school petition forms. Management wasn't happy to see us shopping for signatures (and even called the police!) but several peeved Loblaws customers were only too happy to sign the petition.

So the Federal government offers rebates to companies the cut C02 emissions.
If the government has a stupid plan and is handing out money to companies to further improve energy efficiencies beyond what would normally be economical – why blame Loblaws?
When the government rakes in billion in the carbon tax, and claim to be neutral, they got to spend it somewhere. The real problem is governments should not be collecting and handing out money.

I can never understand the trying to block the camera with the hand routine. You have already been captured on video, too late for fingering the camera, we can all identify you. If they have to give the 12 million back, expect the price of bread to skyrocket. And that twenty five dollar incentive to Mr. Fingers, that’s the same twenty five dollars Weston handed out to consumers in pay back after Breadgate. They only owned up to it because they were caught and just wanted to save their crooked asses. Anyone else, steal something, give a smidge back, basically nothing in comparison to the millions stolen and avoid prosecution. You can only get away with stuff like that if you’re somebody like a Weston or some dimwit politician named Robinson that likes jewelry. Gotta go, sending my email off to Little Trudie Tater Tot requesting money for a new fridge.

$25.00 to go away. Dave is hilarious. Can someone provide a list of viable alternatives that are not ran by Loblaws?

In the video, the gentleman signing the petition at the 5:45 minute mark appears to say “I’m as anti-capitalist as the next guy”.

What the Trudeau government & Loblaws did was NOT “capitalism”; It was “crony capitalism”.

Crony capitalism is where a business receives a favour from a government in return for political support.

In this case, Loblaws received $12 million from the Trudeau Liberals government in return for Loblaws’ long-tern financial support of the left-wing broadbentinstitute.ca/.

Once again, Canadian taxpayers are on the hook for paying for Trudeau’s sleazy Liberal government’s pay-for-play crony capitalism.

Only the People’s Party of Canada has a policy of eliminating government favouritism towards its corporate cronies. (1)

Capitalism rescued many, many more people from poverty than any other economic system tried anywhere or at any time.

Capitalism is good! “Crony capitalism” is bad.

I signed this petition but I really expect something to be done about the fact that Trudeau’s government authorized such payment to them. There is no difference between a thief and a person who willingly buys their ill-gotten gains knowing it was NOT theirs in the first place.

Well done, David Menzies, for staying positive and pleasant while being “attacked” by several Loblaws employees. In Ottawa, when Loblaws outfitted their stores with fancy freezers, there was an upsurge in prices that was very noticeable. I actually preferred the open freezers when I didn’t have to struggle with a door and balance an item I was trying to purchase. But more than that, I was ticked off because it was obvious Loblaws was charging the customers for the upgrade. Prices at Loblaws now are bizarre – items increase steadily in price – or lightening fast increases like $1 in a week. I am in the process of weaning myself off Loblaws and I’m pleased to say it isn’t too difficult. I think they were also fined for offshore banking, if anyone remembers that?! The behaviour of Loblaws falls into the category that you can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig and I resent spending my limited income at their rip-off stores. Off to sign the Buy Your Own Fridges petition now and I hope many people will do this because Loblaws has become a truly disgusting corporate entity.

I can’t help but wonder how much money Loblaws gave Trudeau under the table to get that $12M of Canadian taxpayer money.

With all this free money Trudeau has been handing out I’m sure some of it has migrated back into his off-shore numbered bank accounts.

Jeez! Why stop at fridges?… Might as well buy overpriced electric cars for all of the Weston clan as well….

BBQ’d with my millennial’s and their friends recently. None of them had even heard of the PPC or Max. . Just sayin, and I am a founding member. Max needs to step it up somehow. I can bitch and it mostly just annoys them, because they have never heard of the PPC. If the PPC is never in their feed the PPC don’t exist. Max do something.

BTW, none of them had ever heard of the UN global migration compact being shoved onto us. Max could fix a lot, but nobody has even heard of him, or the PPC . I am trying, but …….

JOHN GOOD:
That is soooo funny! Very ‘good’.

That’s it….buy at the local market and TheRebel can start a recipe column and call it ‘Just For Frills’.

I have been personally boycotting Loblaws (& their affiliates) since I first heard of the bread price fixing scam that went on for about 16yrs.
I sometimes do stop at the local No Frills store to get my fix of Neoguri Seafood & Mild Ramen Soup from Korea,as it is getting really hard to find locally. Almost all the markets carried this here in London ON, but I guess the food Nazis are outlawing it because of the salt content scam!
I add cooked shrimp & fresh spinach leaves to it after cooking it for 2 mins. Just follow the instructions on the PKG. & you can’t go wrong! I add about a half cup more water to make up for the extra ingredients.

Done. Pay it back Loblaws.
I want to know why the liberals felt the need to reward Loblaws with our hard earned money? Sounds like some kind of pay for play reward.

Why would people not shop at the Cooperative, or Costco, or Save On, or Walmart? Is Loblaws a central Canadian thing?

Loblaws, fancy counters fancy displays, large wide isles, fancy prices but their food is just the same as the cut rate store just down the street.

I know a friend that is so fed up with high prices and lousy service, he hits a store once or twice a week, loads up a cart to the gunwales with items from every area of the store and abandons it at the customer service center.

These communists and crony capitalists are a thin skinned lot, are they not? Accountability is a bitch and these well healed whiners don’t like being exposed for the greedy elite they are.
