David Suzuki, father of five, condemns "overpopulation" again

Rebel Staff

Celebrity activist David Suzuki told a Prince Rupert audience last night that "an increase in the human population" was one of the factors impacting "climate change."

Suzuki is the father of five children, as well as a grandfather of five.

The Northern View reports:

In addition to an increase in the human population, beyond what Suzuki said the biosphere could sustain, the former host of The Nature of Things said the threat of climate change is being driven by a focus on the economy. Given that human will die without air or water and will fall ill if the air or water they take in is polluted, Suzuki said that focus is misguided.

As The Rebel reported this week, Suzuki is currently on a west coast speaking tour.

At an earlier stop, Suzuki compared Prime Minister Harper to a negligent CEO who "could be jailed":

The only nice thing I can say about Suzuki is I cannot stand the sight of him.

Suzi, has sold his soul to the darkside many many years ago, he speaks from the green side of his face spewing his “save the planet” crap while he, in this instance, breeds like a rabbit while telling the world to stop having children. He’s the one that had every light in his house litup when we had our save electricty day last year. When you look up Hypocrite in the dictionary he’s right there beside Al “full of excrement” Gore

Suzuki has rendered himself a generally clueless puppet of secular humanist ideology, neo Darwinism-based lunacy and every other NUT CASE band of lying fanatics.
He has zero credibility.
The entire population of the world can live decently in Texas. Look at a globe David! Ergo – The rest of the entire world and the oceans is free for food production!!! And please don’t hand us the usual asinine nonsense about the land not being usable etc.. You’re supposed to be a scientist ! Find a way. Use your brain instead of selling it to the highest bidder.
We can put men on the moon, send space modules to Pluto but can’t figure out how to create produce in difficult zones!?! DUH!!!
Right. and I’m the king of England.

once I respected him…now…what a joke…when you listen to him talk you know he is lying…because his lips r moving….time for the retirement home!

David Suzuki takes money from foreign lobby groups who pay him to say stupid things. He is the most highly paid clown in the entertainment industry. You can’t really take him seriously.
commented 2015-06-27 10:15:44 -0400
Because he’s a hypocrite! Period.

Suzuki represents population control extremism where many concepts intersect: same sex marriage, abortion, euthanasia and climate change controls are weapons to limit the number of humans on this planet. No doubt he takes funding from like minded groups foreign and domestic who want him to succeed in promoting culling of the rest of us so they can rule.

blah blah blah….global warming….global warming…global warming….Not very convincing for a guy who lives in Vancouver to run his mouth about rising sea levels.
commented 2015-06-15 14:01:27 -0400
In Suzuki’s and other extremists view, earth would be beautiful and pristine, but no humans to witness it. They will be crowing about overpopulation decades into the decline of population that we will soon be seeing.

Is he going to India, China, Pakistan, and other places, and give his speech? The math is simple!

Like all liberals Suzuki feels it is his God given mission to tell everyone else how to live their lives. And like the socialist elites everywhere, they make damned sure that they enjoy all the perks of the 21st century while the people who support them live without. If Suzuki is so concerned about life on this planet he should lead by example and divest himself of his tens of millions of dollars by donating them to charity. Just not his own.

Malthusian hypocrite. If depopulation is the road to your utopia, lead by example.

(I remembered where I’d recently read about the situation in China.)

While in a waiting room, I picked up a recent Reader’s Digest. On its cover was David Suzuki. Among the lies in the article is that the Foundation survives on 5 and 10 dollar donations from individuals concerned about climate change. People who read Reader’s Digest vote. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the Trudeau campaign has Suzuki lined up to win him votes. Their ideas seem to mesh; Trudeau thinks having a government like that in China would be great and Suzuki would punish anyone who disputes the religion of climate change. Maybe they’d even like objectors to be sent off to a gulag to be re-educated. That and worse is what happens to Christians and Fulan Gong members in China today.

With bigger families with a conservative bent perhaps leftwingers such as Suzuki could become the minority!
commented 2015-06-13 11:59:03 -0400
Great! Lets start with your family, Suzuki.
commented 2015-06-13 10:44:09 -0400
Everybody else is procreating, what is going to happen if that trend continues? We better start having more babies pronto or we will be the minority in our own country.
commented 2015-06-13 10:23:42 -0400
With people like suzuki it’s always the same. You and your children need to die in order for him to keep living his jetset lifestyle, with multiple mansions!

Only people like suzuki are important and deserving of everything, while the rest of us mere mortals should go back to living in the stoneage.

Maybe suzuki can set an example for the world by euthanizing himself and his family, to save the world from overpopulation.

David and Al Gore should get together and try to have kids. How do these two guys even look in a mirror at themselves.
commented 2015-06-13 06:18:16 -0400
Oy vey. Overpopulation is relative. The problem with complaining about overpopulation is that people in first world countries like the U.S. consume so much more resources than people in Africa or poor parts of Asia. 1 consumer in the U.S. is like 3-4 consumers in a developing country in the third world. The “overpopulation” problem will only be a threat once 2 billion people in China and India want to drive cars and eat beef like Westerners. Only then will we have to worry about population problems.

The fruit fly speaks again and all his fruity fly friends must be buzzing with admiration. Actually I apologise to all the Fruit Flies out there for insulting them by comparing them to this POS.

Actually Rick, it could be that something did come of it, and now David Suzuki is lashing out, cause he was found in non-compliance with “Charity Status” regulations.
commented 2015-06-12 14:47:06 -0400
Rick, I think they were, not sure of what came of it though.

So typical of the elitest lefties. Do as we tell you, not as we do. Canada Revenue Agency should be auditing the DSF. It could be entertaining!

I always love the “lack of air for future generations” comment, so if you will…

Exhale as much as you can. Your body now contains a very minimal amount of “Air”, the other parts of your body, are displacing “Air”. You certainly contain a lot of water, but Sea levels have risen, so we aren’t exactly panicking about how much water we contain, and we’ve been discovering other sources of water outside our atmosphere, in places like the Moon, and the asteroid belt.

So back to “Air”, and how our bodies are displacing more of it than we actually use, to the tune of every breath you take, your lungs only exchange roughly 10% of it to CO2, for every breath. Did you know that one of the experiments done with plants to create oxygen for long space trips, found that certain leafy vegetables, one particular cabbage in-fact, exchange so much CO2 into Oxygen, that Oxygen Poisoning would occur? That’s right, plants keep up better than we thought they could.

So if your body displaces a great deal of “Air”, and so long as we plant enough trees and gardens, we will NEVER run out of “Air” no matter how many of us there are, unless we no longer have spaces to plant trees. Canadians only need look north, at how empty our country actually is, and to also understand that our population is currently undergoing self-stabilization anyway.

Honestly, you don’t have too much to worry about.

Old Dogs and Not So New Tricks
Suzuki and what’s-her-name from the Useless Nations reading off the same script.
So long as there’s funding to be got which will keep those parasites of society in the manner to which they have become accustomed, and just as contrary evidence becomes apparent, there will be no end to the absurd but ever-changing gibberish being concocted to perpetuate their cockamamie notions. i.e.
Acid rain revised to global cooling.
Global cooling inverted to global warming.
Global warming corrected to climate change.
Climate change evolved to overpopulation.
Overpopulation refined to . . . ?
I don’t know what’s next up their sleeve, but I’ll bet my bottom dollar that they keep themselves a couple of lies ahead of us.
Considering the amount of society’s wealth that Suzuki is complicit in squandering, he should be imprisoned for wilful blindness.

No one takes this man to task and asks him to show evidence of those things he pronounces as truths. Harper on the other hand, who can explain his positions, never gets a hearing because he could just not be correct on any topic. Pseudo scientist and pseudo journalist appears to be the path of least resistance!
commented 2015-06-12 10:01:28 -0400
Go figure. No degree needed to see the common denominator among those who utter such crap.

I have to wonder about all these Sierra Club types, who call for a “population cull”, in effect. I find it very revealing that they want someone else to die, and they don’t volunteer, themselves… There’s a bit of a difference between the theoretical and the practical, and Suzuki is firmly in the theoretical.

For example, in the recently released-to-disc movie “Kingsman”, the arch-enemy calls the earth an organism, and humanity a virus. He proposes, and tries to kill off, the virus, nearly succeeding. (Of course at the end he fails, but it’s a movie.) But here’s the problem with this theoretical over the practical — suppose he had succeeded, and only his “chosen few” had survived? Then who would run the power plants? Who would raise/grow the food? Who would repair the transportation vehicles? Who would maintain the housing? The “elite?” They’re the theoreticians — they don’t know how to do a [censored, deleted] practical thing! For all their “survival”, they’re now all reduced to the Stone Age, where all of them are laughably unprepared…

So, in Suzuki’s theory, who dies? Africa? (Even the UN seems to think Africa disposable.) What happens to the cut-off oil supply in Nigeria? What happens when the neglected machinery breaks and corrodes and spews all that crude as pollution? Or is it South America? Heaven forbid it be North America or Europe? So who dies?
