Defense Minister admits Canada’s “peacekeeping” role doesn’t fit reality of combat today

Brian LilleyArchive

You’ll likely recall how often the Liberals have talked about restoring Canada to its former glory as United Nations Peacekeepers?

Now Trudeau’s Liberals are catching up to the reality that the nature of peacekeeping has changed from the time the Liberals have been nostalgically attached to.

Watch as I show what Defense Minister Saijan is saying now which sounds exactly like what many have been trying to tell them about the changing nature of peacekeeping and the need to accept the reality of today.

Is Justin wearing eyes shadow in this footage.
If so, I guess he is just getting in touch with his feminine side!

For the most part they are not refugees, they’re economic migrants and Jihadis come to claim our lands. And that’s what the Conservatives were aware of. The Liberals have absolutely no concept of the evil that the ideology of Islam represents, and will without hesitation continue to import these invaders to our shores. If we sent Peacekeepers there it would just result in our troops being savagely attacked and if they were to return fire, they would be barbecued by our traitorous media as if they were the aggressors.
The Conservative government did not cause the rise of Islam and the massive invasion of migrants, and if anyone feels we are not going to have difficulties with the introduction of these so called refugees into our culture, then you’re not paying much attention to Ezra’s reports.

Harper gutted our peace keepers. If we had them we could provided safe zones in Syria and there would be no refugees. 0. So all this conservative complaining about refugees is a self made problem.

Good old Papa Doc Trudeau used to drive around Quebec on a motorcycle during WWII while wearing a German military uniform and helmet. Just about says it all for why our military was cut down so much.

Now we have Baby Doc as our fearless leader (protected by well armed security) deciding that we should be armed to the… ah… oh… disarmed both militarily and personally.

Why has the F-35 purchase been put off? If we don’t buy, we lose the contracts related to the F-35 production. Prince Dumb wants to buy something temporary until the decision is finalised. So the F-16 is being considered. That means buying a 40+ year old design (though updated), and then the support materials and training needed for something that will be kept in service for another 40 years. It would be smarter just to jump into the most modern and versatile fighter in the world. If we get the F-16 it isn’t like buying a car you trade in or change after five or ten years. Israel just purchased 33 of the F-35. The Israelis see a good thing when they looked at it. The longer we wait, the further back our orders will be and probably the higher the cost.

Peacekeeping has never been an effective programme. When I was a kid, I met the Prime Minister that that came up with the concept and got himself a Nobel Peace Prize for the idea. The Libs have always ignored and tried to shame our military. They made all kinds of cut backs, leaving our military seriously neglected of funds, equipment and remuneration for the fine job that they do. Because of the Libs disdain for our military they got no respect from the government or the people. When I was in uniform a few individuals called me a baby killer. It was during the Nam years and people here were disrespecting our military the same as protesters in the states. To think that at the conclusion of WW2 Canada was one of the most powerful and respected military forces in the world. Then along came the Liberal Dweeb Party and changed the face of our military. We used to have different uniforms, so to save money they dressed every service member in the same uniform, the only difference was the hat badge that indicated land, sea or air element. They can spend oodles of money on themselves, their friends and family, climate change and refugees. But there is no money for the brave women and men of our loyal armed forces that keep us Safe , Secure and Free. Both my parents were WW2 vets, signed up as soon as they became of age. My mom was a British WAC (Women’s Army Core), she got bombs dropped on her by the Nazis and my dad was with The Royal Welsh sent to the Asian theatre, fighting the Japanese Imperial Army. So when I see the manner in which our troops are treated by our Traitorous Liberal Governments, I get very angry. Because if it weren’t for our military in the past and present, those corrupt, self serving, scandal ridden, feckless, arrogant snobs called the Liberal Party would not be living in a free country.

Kelvin Bond it would not surprise me to find out some of the gay guys in the pride parade consider Justin to be a tad too feminine.

The military guy in the photo needs a haircut. Big Time! He’s probably an officer! Sorry BZ.

Sajjan could use a trim too. Slacker!

Holy Identity Chrisis, Batman! When I turned 21, I did not need to put a hat on my head, no more, as I finally knew who I was. I finally woke up. Anyone who thinks they need a rag attached to their head, is lost. Tru Dope thinks he has to dance in the Sodomite Parades, still searching for his identity. Holy Sodom and Gomorrah, Batman.

My friends, colleagues and myself as a recently retired military officer, have been saying peace keeping is dead for about ten years now.

No one listened

The def min is not a “bad ass” – he is known in the ranks as being as far from a “bad ass” as acid is from water.

I do not know who told him to say this but it is about time someone did.

You can be certain he did not have the intestinal fortitude to make this up on his own.

Seems the libs are becoming accomplished liars and the media continues to allow them to get away with it.

No shite sherlock!! Can’t believe he actually understands that . Canada’s reputation of having a significant , fearsome , dangerous and talented armed force didn’t come for peace f…ng keeping. It came from down in the mud fighting to the death in foreign blood soaked mud and grime to keep our politically correct ,flipping social justice warriors free to puke up their pabulum spittle all over Canada.

I’m surprised that the troops aren’t ridding bicycles into combat.Like father like son.

The only reason Sajjan was elected is because Trudeau and his puppetmasters overrode the wishes of the Van South constituency association to put him on the ballot. It’s about time he jumped out of Junior’s lap and stood up for the military’s best interests.

Kevin Brooks – that reminds me of when Chretien sent our soldiers into the desert wearing camouflage uniforms. The liberals will do anything to humiliate our soldiers. We need to hold these liberal clowns to account.

Trudeau will send troops to Africa for potential of future photo ops. He is wrong on peace keeping, wrong on climate change being human caused and wrong on the F35. But it doesn’t matter, he’ll do it anyway.

God help the Canadian Forses if the Liberals send them a cold snowy climet to peace keep, they will be issued pink shorts and flip flops

Wasn’t peacekeeping a plank in the recent Liberal election platform? Guess that was just another lie.
commented 2016-08-11 15:08:42 -0400
the troops will likely be thrown onto another meat grinder to please the liberals and create the peace keeping they so love.

Saijan has probably always been in touch with the reality as one of the few grown-ups in cabinet.
However to say that Baby Doc has caught up with the reality is likely not the case, nor is it ever likely to be the case.

What surprises me a little is that the defense minister Saijan finally found some balls somewhere and decided to test them out.
This public statement is after all an admission the the Liberals were/are wrong, that the shirtless wonder is/was wrong. I expect that either this will become a non story and forgotten about or Saijan will some how be disciplined for his daring to expose the truth.
This will and must change the way our troops are used in their areas of deployment.
Can’t wait to see if the shirtless wonder will comment on any of this.

The Liberals lied? Say it isn’t so. My day has been ruined, my sensibilities damaged, I’m becoming delusional – the liberals lied. Justin Mohamed bin Trudeau lied, whats next? Christmas does not exist? The Easter bunny is a fake? My world has been dashed to the ground I tell you.
