Despite official policy, SOME face masks okay at Rogers Centre. (Guess which kind!)

David MenziesMission Specialist

After hearing about former Argo player, Peter Gabriel, getting tossed from a game at the Rogers Centre for wearing a Tiger Woods Halloween mask, I decided to investigate.

Rogers Centre has a "no full face mask" policy and apparently this policy is strictly enforced, even at Halloween.

But I wondered, is the "no full face mask" policy enforced across the board or does political correctness take hold when it comes to certain types of face obscuring articles of apparel? Like for example, the niqab?

I attend the last Argo game at the Rogers centre accompanied by a female friend wearing a full face concealing niqab. Watch the video to see how that went and share your thoughts in the comments.

There is a simple solution to this mess:
Create a religion and make it part of the rules that your face must be covered when entering banks, courts, when dealing with the government and at all public venues.
The whole hypocritical system would break down.

There you have it, three very loud voices, sjw,s, will determine the debate. It all comes down to feminism. They will argue it just because. They did make a few good points, but sometimes they reminded me more of Justin Trudeau debating. That lady wearing the Niqab is not the normal woman wearing it. She is there to prove a point, mainly because she is a woman damnit!

There is a world of fun to be had mocking PC hypocrisy and reactionary despotism. Get in their face any time you can – you’ll grow to like it , right Dave?

Our lefty supreme court’s new job description now includes making the laws as well as enforcing them so they’ve got all the bases covered.

Dress in a full burka and if they say it isn’t the same because you are a man, tell them you identify as female.

Hey Dave, Why didn’t you mention to Customer Service that your friend under the niqab is actually a Christian – wonder how that would have gone down? Please keep up the good work exposing political correctness disease and liberal white racism insanity. Next step is a group of husky men clad in full niqab dress – if Max (below) was afraid of a balaclava, I’m sure he’d pee himself looking at a manly looking niqab-clad clan in the next section.

Hey David. Totally agree with your arguments, but I believe it is Tony Gabriel, not Peter.

Newspeak, right there in your local sports arena…
– “…That’s the wrong choice of words.”
– “It’s not a double standard.”

Seriously I don’t see how so many feel so comfortable to confidently flaunt the law which anyone can see is showing the bias David experienced. I am doubtful it could stand a legal challenge.

The last two comments could result in someone getting shot or injured. No one wants that. I was thinking David could say he was a man trapped in woman’s body. No wait. A woman trapped in a man’s body. They might even build him his own bathroom complete by half time.

David may I suggest you get 25, 50 or 100 men to dress in niqab garb and all funnel through at the same time then disperse throughout the stadium to different sections.

Here is an idea. Wear a gas mask, and have an oxygen tank piped into the gas mask. If security asks, say it is for your disability. If security makes you take off the mask, you can fake choking to death. See if they still let you wear the thing. Oh, and don’t forget to have somebody in a niqab next to you as well.

Do it, menzoid!

Attila the progressives only parade the charter when it suits them , they selectively ignore it any other time.
commented 2015-11-17 23:18:04 -0500
The facade of the two faced rule book. One for him, one for her. Wait a minute! Is this not a Charter violation? The inequality of equality. Someone at Roger’s Stadium is pulling wool over your eyes David and it seems rather irritating.

Equality Rights
Equality before and under law and equal protection and benefit of law
15. (1) Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability.

It is not that I want to see this become entrenched in law but it is either a law for all or a law for none. That is the logical closure legal closure point. How they want to dance around this would be interesting to say the least.
commented 2015-11-17 21:53:14 -0500
It might of of interest to talk to the Canadian civil liberties association but I am doubtful if they would be offering any help. Still hearing their take on it would be interesting to say the least as they do deal with issues of equality.
commented 2015-11-17 21:45:45 -0500
All David had to do is make up his own religion and claim it is his right. New religions are being formed all the time, who are they to know what he does or does not believe? I would suggest a law suit would change this because you although you are entitled to have rules the should be applied evenly across the board without discrimination based on sex. I’m still really crious as to if people get away wearing a Niqab when getting your driver’s license photo.
commented 2015-11-17 21:44:45 -0500
Max, agreed. Seeing a guy in a ski mask sitting there would freak me out also. I would be no less concerned with a person, who could be man or woman dressed in a full burka, or even a niqab. You can easily hide a weapon underneath even the baggy front of a niqab, in your collar perhaps. I don’t think it is very Canadian to walk around anywhere with your face concealed. And if I were immigrating to a new country I would try to fit into the customs of the host country, not expect them to change for me.
commented 2015-11-17 21:31:54 -0500
It is not a requirement of the Quran or Sharia Law that a woman has to ware a Niqab. This being the case, why is it classified as a religious symbol, by the Liberal supreme court of Canada?

This is all left wing BS, kissing Muslim arse. Real Canadians are fast becoming second class citizens. A square peg needs to be driven into a round hole and I know exactly where the round hole is. Who Flung Dung Trudeau would probably enjoy the experience, a bit like Fisting.

Allah Akbar.

Wow small world. Believe it or not, I was sitting in the same section during that same Argos game and I remember seeing you. In fact, I remember going home and telling all my friends and family what I saw at the game.

The reason I told everyone about you is that the mask you were wearing certainly did feel like a ski mask that a robber would wear not something that is of religious importance. I remember vividly looking at your face and thinking that something serious was about to go down, and personally we did not feel safe. I see your whole argument but what my friends and I say really did scare us, and the reason that the security guard kicked you out was because you genuinely looked like someone that wanted to cause terror during the last home game. I was glad that you were kicked out because it instilled fear across our whole section (section 128 I believe it was).

It is only because we no longer have the right to our own survival. We have given it to the government to look after for us.

I could wax eloquent for paragraph after paragraph about why this double standard is idiotic, and those that endorse it are fools. But it wouldn’t change anything. The 21st century has become the century when the vast majority of the World’s population has embraced lunacy. Everyone agrees; the way to eradicate radical Islam and their world-wide caliphate is to convert to wind and solar power and wage war on climate change. And Cinderella turned into a pumpkin on Halloween. The World is nuts!!!

Who would feel safe at any of these events if this is how it is. Religious exemption my ass. Politically correct stupidity.

It should have been the menzoid in the niqab, and using the women’s washroom as well.

David, here is a small job for you. Walk into a police station with a face mask, and ask a simple parking question. Since you are not required to identify yourself when carded, you shouldn’t be “forced” to identify yourself in a police station.
Just walk up to a cop on the street with a mask on, and ask a simple question, then walk away.

Two thoughts:

If this is C.F.L. policy and not just Roger’s Center, which I think it is just Roger’s from the story, I’m trying to imagine watching games during a typical November on the Prairies in the outdoor stadia of Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg without being allowed to wear a balaclava or woolen face scarf. Winter games always have masked men and women just to keep warm. I particularly remember sitting in McMahon with a North wind at -20, darned right my face was covered.

Second, I can not believe the security just to enter the stadium to watch the game, with or without face covering. This alone shows that alah akbar has won. If one just cannot have the pleasure of a spectator sporting event without harassment on the level of the airport, why bother? It has been several years since I have attended a live event, is this standard now in hockey, football, baseball?

Our society is scared of women, now we are scared of Islam. Especially scared of women covered in a mask… I hope he sues their a** but i am sure the presiding liberal judge will see it from a masked women’s point of view.

When that reprobate Obama leaves in 2016, a real US President will put American interests first again, and this islamic crap will be put to an end.

Hopefully Americans don’t do an encore and elect that Clinton nuisance.
