This week, Alberta received our quarterly dose of NDP delusion, when Finance Minister Joe Ceci gave his second quarter fiscal update to the 2017-2018 Alberta Budget.
Alberta, once proudly debt free, is still on track to record debt levels and a $10.3 billion deficit for this year alone.
Of course, the update was terrible. Anyone can see that. But you wouldn't know that if you listened to the NDP tell their version of the truth. According to them, Alberta is on the mend, on the road to recovery, and it's all their doing.
Ceci, in his best attempt to sound folksy and authentic, proudly exclaimed, "Alberta is back in the saddle!"
That may be true, but the horse is going in the wrong direction.
How did we get in this mess? How do we get back out?
And what role do public sector unions have in ringing up all this debt?
Joining me as my special guest is Bill Tufts, the author of the bestselling book Pension Ponzi: How Public Sector Unions are Bankrupting Canada's Health Care, Education and Your Retirement.

Lol
The conference was held in a conference room on something like the 14th floor in a Calgary hotel. Hearing Tuft’s depressing talk one felt like jumping out the window:
