Donald Trump's announcement "refreshing," "inspiring"

Rebel Staff

When I tuned in to Donald Trump's presidential announcement, my expectations weren't very high. I figured it was just another p.r. stunt by the billionaire real estate tycoon and reality TV star.

But the more I heard, the more impressed I was.

I give Trump credit for speaking candidly about illegal immigration and the current situation in Iraq.

Trump also talked about how wrong he was about Obama, who he thought would be a "great cheerleader" for America.

He also read off a statement of his multi-billion dollar net worth, and added that it represented the American dream come true.

Saw the Donald Trump speech in full. In short, he’s a nationalist and a breath of fresh air which is great. I agree with virtually everything he is saying in this speech because he is a straight-shooter speaking to the truth. His vision is direct, his own, minus a teleprompter. The pretenders in power now are accomplishing next to nothing but the destruction of the US and national sovereignty while accelerating debilitating globalist elitism. It’s amazing the fools who refuse to look reality in the eye, plus their offspring, and address issues the way he is. Of course, this generation of politicians are all bought and paid for by lobbyists and special interests. No wonder the country has become an oligarchy and worse.

If he runs strategically as a Republican he will be credible and not siphon votes that inadvertently help the Democrat/Marxist candidate. Those that are belly-aching the loudest about what a ‘clown’ he is are the biggest hypocrites, left-wing radicals and those that fear the truth the most.

They shortsightedly favor the big lie of Marxism, phony egalitarianism and also the tyrannical practice of grooming your children. Trump touched on many important areas. He is not to be trifled with or some ‘clown’. With hubris they knee-jerk and dismiss him because it’s their only tactic. Like the truth, if someone like him were to gain traction, it would be their worst nightmare. He’s grown to become a successful billionaire and is showing a genuine public conscience. Who cares about the shallow ‘presstitute’ cacklers.

Evidently, common sense is not so common anymore. Here’s his basic summation… Repeal Obamacare (it’s an unmitigated disaster in cost and application) Build a great wall on southern border with Mexico (actually have borders) Tough on ISIS…find a new General Patton Stop Iran from getting nukes Terminate Obama’s illegal executive order on immigration Fully support 2nd amendment (right to arms) Rebuild infrastructure Save medicare, medicaid and social security without cuts Get rid of the fraud, waste and abuse Renegotiate foreign trade deals and create real jobs Reduce 18 trillion in debt Strengthen the US military and take care of vets Bring back the American Dream, bigger, better…

For some strange reason—- I believe Donald Trump – because would be his last Victory. He also says- what most Patriots believe.

I guess we will just have to wait and see..

Trump hates free speech. That’s enough for me to know.

I am surprised! But He has this sense of being American!

I thought you’d like this article from National Review: “The Art of the Con, by Donald Trump”
and also this one: “Is Trump a Double Agent for the Left?”
This gives a different perspective on Trump’s statements and reveal his historical position on varios issues such as single payer medical care.

He has made noises, but I don’t think he has actually entered the race before now.
commented 2015-06-21 19:38:15 -0400
How many times has Trump entered (and left) the presidential race. He talks the good talk, but I don’t believe he can walk it and even if he stays in the race, polls show that only 5% of Republicans would vote for him. Not a resounding endorsement! Ergo, he will not get elected.
commented 2015-06-21 13:03:45 -0400
Trump must be doing something right, considering the left’s serious freak out,and the way they are clamoring over themselves to make Trump their “hate of the week” project.
commented 2015-06-21 10:18:29 -0400

You do realize that the GOP don’t view Trump as their savior at all right? Even they view him as punchline that is entertaining and sure might bring some temporary excitement to Republicans – but they don’t actually take him seriously.
commented 2015-06-20 20:02:44 -0400
I wonder how he would be dealing with us in trade deals? Doesn’t even matter, the election is a long way off anything could happen. We do however, need that kind of energy to beat the left back where it belongs.

I was likewise impressed, Ezra. Trump is not one of my favourite people, but he said a lot of things that needed saying.

Say it ain’t so Jimmy you are not a fraud…….. Are you? Say it ain’t so…….
commented 2015-06-20 11:22:20 -0400
Jimmy proclaimed, “Donald Trump is a jackass – show me a businessman worthy of respect and I do exactly that. Donald Trump is a clown.”

Yet he has multiple billions more than you. Your comment is jealousy thinly veiled in anger, a typical socialists “the world owes me a living because I exist and you are evil for having m,ore money than me” attitude.

Jimmy claims, " I am one of those successful liberals in business.’

Prove it. What is the name of your company? Fomr what university did you get your doctorate, doctor Jimmy sir? What is the focus of your doctorate? Are you an MD? Can I read your doctoral thesis?

Come one, Jimmy. Stop spouting the crap and prove what you are saying or no one here will believe that you are a successful liberal doctor that has a successful business.

Ain’t the internet a wonderful thing Jimmy.
commented 2015-06-20 10:50:16 -0400

I assume you are aware that there are many millionaire and billionaire businessmen that are liberals. Your comments are laughable, because you seem to suggest that only conservatives know about business or that only a conservative can run a business successfully. The business world is filled to the brim with liberals in addition to conservatives. I am one of those successful liberals in business.

Donald Trump is a jackass – show me a businessman worthy of respect and I do exactly that. Donald Trump is a clown.

Kelvin Grabowsky, I doubt that little baby Jimmykins is a business man at all. I doubt that he is a doctor as he claims. His comments do not indicate any higher level of education. When challenged to provide evidence for his claims, he ignores it or posts an insult in response. He does not even provide logical thinking in his post, a series of steps to a conclusion. Nothing. And if you disagree with him, he insults you and everyone here as stupid. This is typical of the lefties that post on the CBC. Kelvin, you are right. He is not a business man. He is just a troll, and a young childish toll at that.
commented 2015-06-20 05:39:52 -0400
Hum I never thought of Donald Trump this way. I mostly dismissed him because I never took him seriously. But I have to say, he make good points. I think I’d still prefer Rand Paul because I still don’t know enough about trump, but hey…I’ll let him make his case and then who knows..
commented 2015-06-20 05:25:25 -0400
Ezra, you are not alone in your view. American morale is at an all-time low and Trump may just be the tonic they need to restore national pride.

commented 2015-06-20 02:10:03 -0400
Jimmy, for a business man you sure seem…………. Anti business
commented 2015-06-20 00:24:47 -0400
Donald Trump doesn’t have a chance in hell and I will come back to say I told you so when he pulls out.
commented 2015-06-19 23:50:46 -0400
Well, that wasn’t what I expected from Trump but I like what I hear. It seems ridiculous to refer to him as the average guy but that’s how he came across. Every other candidate has to be so PC and pussy foot around every topic. I believe he’ll take a stand on an issue and stick with it. He’s doing what we all wish every candidate would do. Tell it the way you see it! Bill and Hillary are classic grifters and they should both be in jail by now. However, if you let enough illegal aliens into the country, put enough people on welfare (the kind of people that are comfortable on the dole) and provide enough government freebies, you could be guaranteed the vote until someone shakes people out of their stupor. Maybe someone like The Donald.

I know this will be hard to take, but I don’t support XL, so in that regard – I am happy with Obama’s decision.
commented 2015-06-19 23:45:00 -0400
You don’t need to be clairvoyant to know that Hillary will be the next President. You just need to have a brain. The Republicans will not be able to beat her and they know it – that’s why they have 42 people running for President – hoping that one of these morons connects with the public.
commented 2015-06-19 23:42:56 -0400

Trump does things on a whim constantly – what are you talking about? Don’t be fooled. Donald CAN be bought. He likes money just as much as the next guy. He “ran” for mayor of NYC several times. He gets to a certain point then he drops out. Can’t believe some people still fall for this.

Here is Dana Perino of Fox News destroying Donald Trump’s plan to build the Mexican wall. I give credit to her – since she is a conservative that’s telling the truth about Trump and knows that he can’t do the things he claims. Ezra can learn from this as well.

commented 2015-06-19 23:05:34 -0400
I believe Trump is in it to win. He doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy to go into things on a whim. The Republican boys club don’t like him because he can’t be bought, plain and simple. . I really like that about him, he’s too rich to influence. He has strong family values, loves America, and wants to protect her interests, and he has a resume to back up what he says. I believe Trump when he says he will be able to deal with congress. As Ezra points out he is a master negotiator. I don’t know if he has a chance, but if he does manage to pull it off, I want Ben Carson, (who is also rich and harder to buy) as Vice. That duo could clean house like nobody’s business. But as I said in the Fix, about Donald running, there are lot of good men and women, in the Republican race this time, and I am heartened, by that.

Jimmy like a moth to flame. You are right Jimmy,( if the Dems manage to glean and pack away enough foreign funding),Hillary will win. And it won"t be a fair win. That would mean we have another crook in the White House, and the only thing that could make that worse for us would be if Justin or Tom get in here. In that case I would have to close the shutters and never look out again, as I wouldn’t expect anything positive happening in my lifetime. It will take decades to turn that around.

Jimmy you would rather cut down all the tall poppies so you don’t feel out of place, than jump on the wagon that is moving forward and promoting everyone’s growth. What are you so afraid of?

Good take Ezra.

Very inspiring, I’ve never been an admirer or had any envy toward DT but I know he earned it. That would be an asset to our standard of living
commented 2015-06-19 21:03:20 -0400
Jimmy! Down the page you wrote “why lie”. So why do you? Who are you working for? I’ll figure it out.

I had an opportunity to work closely with Trump in New York for three days on a construction project some years ago. People love to hate him but he is a brilliant man and not afraid to speak his piece. Some will say he is a boorish person – however if he ever tells you he has an idea – better you listen – he did not get to where he is today by sitting on his butt talking pretty talk – he thinks and he acts upon those thoughts. I know he will not get the nod but he is smarter than all the other candidates combined.
commented 2015-06-19 19:56:06 -0400
I gotta say, when I heard the Donald was running (again), I thought what a joke (again).
After hearing those key points….I’m impressed and more than a little hopeful for him.
