Doug Ford attempts to revive the Energy East pipeline

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, I reported on new legislation from the Ford government that seeks to promote the construction of oil pipelines.

check this Globe & Mail story out:

Ontario to target federal carbon tax, support pipeline construction, in fall fiscal update

Mr. Ford’s government is also set to issue a public declaration of support for pipeline projects, such as the revival of Energy East, in the province’s first fall economic statement this week, government sources told The Globe and Mail.

I'll give you the details, but in plain English:

Doug Ford will not object to any pipeline, and in fact he’s talking with other premiers about getting things going again.

I think it might be all for naught. Trudeau and Notley and their crews will not let a pipeline live.

But Justin Trudeau won’t be prime minister forever...

Everyone thought the Keystone XL pipeline was dead — then Trump won. If Doug Ford supports the pipeline now, that might lie dormant for a while. But if in 2019, or more likely 2023, if Trudeau is kicked out, perhaps that pipeline could be built again.

Maybe. Hopefully.

Or maybe all the oil and gas companies will just be too busy drilling in Texas and Pennsylvania and North Dakota — where they’re actually wanted — to risk coming back to Canada, the only country in the world whose politicians are stupid enough to kill the goose that lays the golden egg...

I’d like to see proof that the poll “was done across Ontario”…. Hello?…

Andy Neimers,

Um, the poll was done across Ontario.

People are not happy with Doug Ford – which isn’t a surprise at all.

One term and done.

And they polled Toronto but presume to speak for all of Ontario?
