Doug Ford enters PC leadership fray: Can he slay the party’s “elitist status quo”?

David MenziesMission Specialist

Will there be a Ford in Ontario’s future?

Time will tell.

But assuming Doug Ford is even allowed to run for PC leader, the process of determining who will be the next Progressive Conservative head honcho just became infinitely more interesting.

I guess the excitement of Doug Ford has died.

liza rosie,

You stay in your Rebel bubble of anti-fact, anti-logic and anti-science – reality and the real world isn’t for you.

You stay in your safe space Crockett. Is there a doggie in there for you to pet? Some playdoh and crayons? how about your blankie did your adult friend remember your blankie? Maybe your adult friend can read you another fairy tale. You’ll be alright. Stick your head back up there where the sun don’t shine.

liza rosie,

Your whole position on The Rebel since it launched is believing what you have been told – not the facts.

Canada’s economy is doing very well currently. That is simply just a fact – no matter the doom and gloom The Rebel try to sell.

‘By most measures, Canada’s economy is rocking. ’
’It’s amazing the world you live in with endless conspiracy theories and propaganda.’

Those two comments by Crockett will not age well. Well ,they didn’t even get a chance to age. They were wrong before his fingers reached the keyboard. Have at er Crockett at least we know which thread to stay away from . Stay where you are.

If anyone ever had any doubts that Liberalism was a brain disease, check out what Climate Barbies beta bubba wrote in Maclean’s. These people are lunatics.

Andy Neimers,

It’s amazing the world you live in with endless conspiracy theories and propaganda.

I apologized for the multiple posts as The Rebel often freezes up for me. There is no benefit or agenda in making multiple posts.

It was simply a glitch.

Robert Mcclelland,

The party will dump him. It’s irrelevant how Doug Ford responds.

Tammie, there is only so much time and space. Of course Justin is a n expert on that as well.

The free stuff and falling for Trudeaus’s lies, add electoral fraud as well.

You know James, I don’t think one woman coming forth with 20 year old allegations is going to make Doug Ford run down the hall in tears like Patsy Brown.

Hello Eitan .. Hello Ezra… From here on the sidelines it is apparent that your website is being dicked with by one James Crockett… Multiple posts speak volumes…

Doug Ford is the elitist? That’s hot one. Justin is the Mostest Elitist of them all. And he comes across as the common man with his stupid selfie schtick and his canoeing persona and being that the Natives that he really understands their needs- like canoe sheds on Regina’s mighty shores- and his promise to help out the middle class. He certainly presents himself as one of us- when it suits him. But then that is the stock in trade of a leftist- lying about who they are to get ahead in life and elections.

I know our taxes went up significantly after the Trudeau budget. No signs of it coming back down.

As for Canadians voting in higher taxes- why not. Socialists all over the world have been doing that for decades. Like in Sweden. All you gotta do is promise them “free” stuff and they line up. It’s hard to run a campaign against Santa Claus.

Al Peterson,

It’s one thing to say you are help the middle class. It’s another thing to pretend like you are one of them like Doug Ford does. Ford is the definition of an elitist, but plays the roll of the common man and suckers like you eat it up.
________________________________________________________________________________
James. When did I say I supported Doug Ford? I simply despise Trudeau and his mindless minions who fawn over his every utterance and sock exchange.

Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt,

So are you saying that when Canadians re-elect Trudeau – because they will, it’s because they want to pay higher taxes?
commented 2018-01-30 23:09:15 -0500
James, your claim about the Fraser Institute and the ridiculous example you stated is really over the top.

So the economy is “rocking” and middle class Canadians are still paying higher taxes despite the Liberal promise of lowering taxes, where is the good news in that?

I found this interesting article
http://www.conferenceboard.ca/press/newsrelease/2017/12/21/year-in-review-and-look-ahead-canadian-economy-delivered-stellar-growth-in-2017-but-will-slow-significantly-in-2018?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1

Tammie Putinski-Zandbelt,

The Fraser institute is basically the go to source to see the negative in any government program, it’s their mandate. A fireman could save 10 lives from a house fire and they’d tell you how much the move cost and why we would have been better off letting them die. It’s just what they do.

So that claim is bullshit.

By most measures, Canada’s economy is rocking.

On paper, it’s the best of times, but you won’t hear politicians telling Canadians that.

Canada’s economy has been unambiguously strong for about a year, according to the high-frequency data Statistics Canada collects every month. Gross domestic product probably will expand by at least three percent this year, something that some economists thought our aging and relatively unproductive economy might never do again. The unemployment rate (6.2 per cent in August) is about as low is it ever gets, and could push lower still. The median household income in Canada is about $70,000, roughly 10 per cent more than a decade ago, according to census figures released last month. That’s an excellent number, considering household wealth in the United States barely grew over the same period.

The glitch has been happening since a few days after Christmas, you managed to figure out how to post once, soon after that…..like most people.
Like I said, you took up too much real estate on this thread. Don’t know why you are bringing up a conspiracy, you sitting on your couch hardly qualifies.

It’s hilarious that you think the multiple posts are a conspiracy too.

The Rebel site froze – nothing more.

Under the Trudeau/Morneau plan, 81% of the middle class are paying higher taxes….so yep, I fell like I have been run over by his Limo!

liza rosie,

I am not confused at all. Every politician says that they will try to help the middle class.

Ford is an elitist pretending to be the common man and that he knows about the struggles of Joe Six Pack. Ford is everything he claims to hate. Trudeau doesn’t shy away from his father or his upbringing or his silver spoon. Ford does – he wants people to think that he is some self made business man and wasn’t an example of nepotism.

Trump is similar to Ford. An elitist who like his solid gold toilets, but because he has zero class and sophistication – he looks like a common man with his love of Big Macs and putting ketchup on a fancy steak for fuck sake. Who does that?
you can’t
Tyour problem. You don’t read the fine print when it comes to Trump – you believe on the surface things like rump is only looking out for himself. Everything else is smokescreen and lies. The fact that see that is the tax plan without knowing the consequences of something that may seem
