Doug Ford: Respecting taxpayers and derailing the “gravy train”

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, guest host David Menzies interviewed Toronto Mayoral candidate Doug Ford

Justin Trudeau is making life more expensive with his carbon tax and small business tax increase, Kathleen Wynne's green energy policies are making Ontario's hydro rates skyrocket. Now Brad Wall is resigning, leaving Canada in desperate need of conservative political leaders. In 2018, Doug Ford could stage a populist conservative comeback.

Ford wants to take on John Tory and stop Toronto's increasing taxes and departmental budgets. Tory's already caved to the demands of Black Lives Matter, a strong conservative at city hall would be a welcome change.

WATCH the interview to see how Doug plans to pick up dissatisfied Tory voters and NDP leaning union members.

Jan G, many of us in Greater Toronto Area have been advocating for years to be allowed to split from the rest of Ontario and become a province on our own. We’d be third largest province, and richest, in Canada. Even just the City of Toronto itself would be the fifth biggest. We could be relieved of underwriting the rest of the province with our billions of tax dollars. We could build the infrastructure we need without having the get Queen’s Park’s blessing. The rest of you would still be the biggest province in terms of population and could set whatever policies you feel benefit you. You wouldn’t feel as though Toronto gets all the attention. No hard feelings.

Persoally, I think Toronto should be kicked out Ontario. Let them vote in whomever they want and leave the rest of us alone. The city attracts and is full of, to be kind, many different types of people (!!!) and they want to dictate with their lifestyles and choices. Toronto has too much of an influence and affect on elections. Get rid of them and see how long they last.

That’s like CBC’s coverage last night of the ‘Antifa’. Just one thing, they forgot to mention George Soros.

Good to see Doug Ford on board. Maybe now there will be some truth spoken and the MSM will be forced to defend themselves, which ultimately reveals the truth. MSM now backtracking about antifa, which means the viewers are getting wise!!!

James Van Halen
What was reported in The Sun Newspaper was the findings of a Poll. And we all know how accurate polls are. If that’s the best you have for a Mayor is Tory, who fooled the majority to get elected to Mayor but previously he ran for other higher up offices and LOST. You’re going to find out soon enough how popular Doug is and the strong support he will build will be devastating to that Ass Kissing Tory.

James Van Halen good to see you calling the CBC propaganda. LMAO!

James Van Halen it is not fear mongering , the CBC is defending it. And you can see the bitumen barbie page just like anyone else. But keep on denying reality like a child.

Keith and Helen Harvey,

Um, he can’t beat John Tory. Are you THAT clueless?

John Tory is a great mayor for the most part and is very popular with a high approval rating – Doug Ford doesn’t have a chance.

Even the conservative Toronto Sun (The Rebel was born from the Sun), who kissed the Ford Brother’s asses constantly, acknowledge that Tory would bury Ford.

Glad to hear Doug is running for the office of Mayor. I don’t think he will have any trouble winning. It’s doubtful that there will be anyone capable of offering any opposition.

Drew Wakariuk,

Sorry – I am not a moron like you who falls for fear mongering and propaganda.

James Van Halen no comment on our finance minister and Justin and their tax reform hypocrisy? Oh yeah , you are a sheep.

Rob Ford was loved by many because, despite an alcohol problem, he respected taxpayers by taking their telephone calls, visiting them even in Metro Housing projects where he solved their problems and not taking a salary or getting the taxpayer to pay for his vacations (did he ever take one?). Doug Ford is every bit the same as his brother Rob without the alcohol/drug problem.

Doug has common sense and, in my 70 years, the people who have impressed me the most were people who had a high degree of common sense and not necessarily a high education (one smart guy I met whilst a rodman on Saskatchewan Dept. of Highways was a Grade 8 educated grader operator who had an outlook on life way beyond any of my egg headed university professors.

Doug Ford probably would have won over John Tory if it were not for the smear campaign against Rob being so recent. I will be voting and cheering for Doug in the next mayoral election as he is right about Mayor Tory…still big time gridlock in TO, higher taxes, no fast rail, no east TO garbage privatization yet he does have time for lots of public appearances and travel to foreign lands (sound familiar like our Prime Minister??).

Screw that, let Toronto go down the crapper. I hope James is right. Toronto deserves liberal ideology.

James I think you should change your fake name to maybe the Backdoor Boys . It seems like a better handle for a brain dead mental midget such as yourself ! Go Doug Ford !

Paul Taylor I know exactly what you mean about people not paying therye fair share . Albertans have been paying for welfare provinces for way too long and I don’t think anybody outside of the cesspool of Toronto should have to pay for the losers in that city either .
commented 2017-09-22 15:36:46 -0400
Doug Ford doesn’t have a chance in hell. While some people loved Rob Ford – they weren’t crazy about Doug.

John Tory is popular with a high approval rating.

I’d like to see Toronto pay their fair share of Ontario taxes instead of relying on other cites and towns having to carry Toronto’s burden.
