Dr. Anthony Dillon on hate speech: “Hurt bodies should outweigh hurt feelings”

Claire LehmannAustralian Contributor

Dr. Anthony Dillon of Australian Catholic University is an active social commentator on Aboriginal issues.

After listening to his fantastic speech on identity politics, I wanted to know more about this determined truth teller and free speech warrior.

Watch as we discuss the way he views hate speech in Australia and explains why we shouldn’t let fear of being called names stop us from discussing important issues.

Dr. Dillon’s phrasing “Hurt bodies should outweigh hurt feelings” is very powerful and concise. I think more of us should use it when we are accused of hate speech, or when we expose inconvenient truths to the left.
