Dr. John Lott: Murder isn't a nationwide problem in America

John CardilloRebel Host | Off The Cuff

On last night's episode of Off The Cuff Declassified, Dr. John Lott of the Crime Prevention Research Center joined me to debunk liberal claims about guns.

Homicide and murder are not the same: homicide means any death that isn't by natural causes, including killing in self-defense. Yet liberals continue to use misconstrued homicide statistics to bolster their anti-gun agenda.

WATCH my interview with Dr. Lott to see how the majority of murders in America take place within two counties, proving that guns overall are not to blame.

The statistic presented here is wrong – 50% of murders happen in two percent of counties.

And, a good portion of those counties are in states with minimal to only nominal gun control. Alabama (which has two counties on the list), Missouri, Louisiana, Florida etc…. Of those that do happen in “gun control” states, the majority are also committed with firearms – what is the ultimate source of those, and would that soure dry up if ALL states had uniform, strict laws, which would prevent guns being purchased legally in other states for nefarious intent?

I have recently acquired Dr. John Lott’s book “More Guns, Less Crime” but have yet to read it… It would be interesting to know what the “murder per city block” ratio is for Southside Chicago versus any other “competitor neighbourhoods” in the United States…
