Dr. Michael Rubin: The dark side of Kurdish independence

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

You'll recall The Rebel's fact-finding and humanitarian trek to Kurdistan earlier this year.

On last night's show, I had an in-depth conversation with Michael Rubin. A Resident Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, Rubin is also an expert on the region.

We talked about the results of the Kurdistan referendum, and he explained the geographical, political and cultural obstacles to the nation's future.

Bravo Zulu—" War is coming again"
Yes, those people have been fighting for thousands of years; and really I don’t care.
My concern is, once there is peace in the Syrian-Iraq area, many of our so-called refugees will return. Great News, however give it a little time and they will start
a war with someone else. Then they will cry and cry that they are Canadian Citizens, and its our duty to send Cruise Ships (not Freighters) to come and pick them up at great expense to real Canadians. This happened before, and Harper was forced by the CBC and CTV to pick them up and take care of them. These people seem to take Canadians as suckers.
Next time leave them there to fight the war that they probably started.
