Dutch judge orders 25% C02 reduction -- so let's start by cutting off power to his home

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

It's a bizarre ruling out of the Netherlands: Under pressure from a veritable Jim Jones-like doomsday cult, a judge has ordered the country to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 25% by 2020.

Put aside the fact that C02 isn't just harmless, it's plant food, an essential element of life on earth.

Has this judge considered the practical implications of this order?

Maybe it would help if we started by cutting off electricity to the courthouse and the judge's house.

@andrew. So Andrew, it’s ok for the Lefty extremists to make, well, extreme statements but not for ok for Righty’s to make 1/2 extreme stmts? Thks for demonstrating the stupidity and duplicity of the Left. Not that we don’t have examples enough!

Andrew, have you not been awake or paying attention in the last 20 or more years? Legitimate arguments fall on deaf ears. The only thing people seem to respond to is the over-dramatic hyperbole. Want an example? Take a look at Al Gore, or David Suzuki, or any Hollywood celebrity that boosts eco-change. They very well make it sound as if we all don’t kill off our carbon emissions, life will cease to exist. If you want a message to be heard, you have to be seen. I agree, it’s not ideal, but when common sense falls on deaf ears, one must improvise.

“Put aside the fact that C02 isn’t just harmless, it’s plant food, an essential element of life on earth.”

Disingenuous. Water is essential too, yet you’d have some serious problems if you filled your house with it. “Harmless” is quantitative.

As for the Dutch PM, that’s a demented “slippery slope” type argument. A more apt place to start would be to ask him to reduce his personal usage 25%.

This is why nobody takes the right wing hyperbole seriously. There are perfectly legitimate arguments against emission regulations, but the reactionary and extremist hyperbole is not helpful and drowns out the legitimate arguments.

May be all for naught in any case. By 2020 Holland could be under the yoke of Sharia Law, or Europe itself could be engaged in a full war against the Islamists. Like the idea of having the lefties forced to comply with what they want to impose on everyone else. One knows though that they will scream blue murder………..!

bet the judge would of ruled differently if it was middle of winter and minus 25 C

Right on, Ezra! A great first step for these pseudo-environmentalists! Practice what you preach!

A ruling/law that is not enforceable is just so much hot air or wasted paper… Perhaps the judge should set the example by reducing his breathing by 25%?

Ezra, you should know by now that it is everyone else that has to change their evil ways, not the ones who complain about it!

They are the righteous ones simply by the fact that they complained, so their penance is paid and they can continue to create as much CO2 as they like.

You see, all we have to do is get out there and complain about all the CO2 that is produced by all the evil capitalists and then our penance will exonerate us so we can continue to spew CO2.

No judge has subject matter jurisdiction to make such a ruling and the ruling is unenforceable.
