New studies conducted over long periods of time show fracking isn’t as much of a risk as eco-activists say it is but despite this, activists remain irrational to the point of being willing to take drastic eco-terrorist measures.
Fracking isn’t a new procedure and studies confirm the benefits outweigh the risks.
In a study completed over three years by the Academy of Medicine, Engineering and Science of Texas it was found that fracking was unlikely to contaminate drinking water.
The biggest problem they identified was that the influx of support trucks cost taxpayers up to $2B due to damaged roads, yet the oil and gas industry adds $473B to the economy.
Another report from Duke University states there’s a lack of change in the quality of drinking water following the installation of nearby shale gas wells.
