The denial over the terrorist attack in Ottawa could end soon. Here's why

Brian LilleyArchive

While you and I saw what happened on October 22nd as an act of terrorism, there remains debate among the chattering classes over whether or not it actually was.

As the RCMP is set to release a manifesto video of Michael Zehaf-Bibeau invoking jihad, the chattering classes still refuse to call the shooting in Ottawa a terrorist attack.

There's an attempt to label Michael Zehaf-Bibeau as someone with a history of drug problems, but that doesn't change the fact he converted to a radical form of Islam.

Canadain’s Are such whimps when it ocmes to offending the truth by speaking the true reality of it but we will forever remain Ostriches with heads in the sand and ARSES in plain view to be shot at . And punished by any Self professed radical organization please tel me ISIS does not cut of the heads of its political prisoners. and I will then believe attacks by these NUTS are not TERRORIST in nature or at least the perverse actions of a Mentally ill person AKA “terrorist”

“The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.”

There’s no question in my mind these Islamic jihadists all suffer from some form of psychological defects. That doesn’t negate the fact that they are Islamic jihadists or that our response to them should be to offer them some meds and invite them to group therapy. You can take any psycho killer and say oh the poor guy has mental problems and you would be right about that. However, we keep them locked up because hugging them and hoping for the best means that they will torture and kill again and again. The role of the state is to ensure the security of its law-abiding citizens not its psycho killers, whether they are motivated by jihadist fantasies or some other delusions.

No eyes to see, no ears to hear, but they sure have a mouth to deny the obvious.

What would the Manson Family be classified as in Today’s Judgement? A Cult is a Cult .

Well said Joan. It all comes down to intent. And these days the jihad means the slaughtering of infidels. Maybe it always did. But unfortunately their so called prophet left it without context so it can be interpreted to mean an internal personal struggle, or the evil of what we are seeing today. At least this is what I’ve read and understood so far.
I’m with you though,it doesn’t matter what their excuses are and how much the apologists try to downplay it. It is what it is.

Just because he was whacked out on drugs does not mean Zehaf-Bibeau was not a recruited-to-be-murderous jihadi terrorist.

The drug of choice for jihadi recruiters is methamphetamine. That drug feeds delusion, makes it easier to plant jihadi fervour in recruits.

Just because jihadis are “religious” – i.e., hold a set of beliefs adherent to Islam – doesn’t mean they aren’t a terrorist organized crime group like any other. They steal from individuals, communities, cultures, banks, oil, etc., they trade in drugs, guns, technology, women and children, they extort online, they murder indiscriminately.

Of course they are insane. But who cares? They are sadistic criminals without conscience. Each one of them chose this. They are culpable.

Brian, you nailed it right on the nail! While the left would call this “mental illness” it is quite obvious that it is pure terrorism. As a matter of fact, I do think that you have to be mentally ill to be a terrorist. Having said that, Zehaf-Bibeau’s ideology was purely “jihadist.”

Cathy, it’s kind of hard to deport someone who was born in Canada. I wish it wasn’t, but apparently it’s illegal to just set someone adrift on a raft in the middle of the Pacific Ocean (Stupid Law!)

It wouldn’t matter how much evidence one brings forward to the liberals. They simply just refuse to see. If it walks and quacks like a duck, in my world it’s a duck.

Pierre, that’s because ball-less zero is one of them and is working hard at tearing down America and democracy as his Islamic roots call him to do.
Anyone who does not see the Parliament attack in Oct, 2014 as a jihad is in denial or does not know, that Islam’s goal is to tear down all democracy and replace it with sharia law. All promoters of this jihad, and you will find a lot of it in their mosques with the imams, need to be booted out of Canada for treason.

You’ve got to give it to Stephen Harper he is not a afraid to put islam and terrorism in the same sentence unlike the ball-less Zero in Washington .

Those in denial can only be labelled one thing: useful idiots to those that would destroy our way of life.
