Energy East cancellation means Quebec will "burn foreign oil"

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, Germain Belzile of the Montreal Economic Institute joined me to discuss the impact of the Trudeau Liberal's decision to cancel the Energy East pipeline.

The pipeline would've brought oil from Alberta and Saskatchewan to refineries in Quebec and New Brunswick, the Liberal's decision will hurt economies across Canada while doing nothing to improve the environment.

Nobody in Quebec is going to stop using their car thanks to the death of energy east, they're just going to burn imported OPEC oil instead of ethical oil from Western Canada.

Bravo Zulu.. Having previously lived in rural Nova Scotia I can tell you that your comments form “An Inconvenient Truth”…

The welfare state – east coast provinces voted clean sweep liberals.

Kebec voted for a lot of liberals.

Ontario essentially sealed it with the liberal vote.

Why would anyone have any respect for those from the east.

YOU might live in one of the provinces I mentioned, and might not have voted for the POS – however!!!!!!!!…………………..

Many of your friends and family did.

Funny enough, it is now hard to find many who will admit to it.

Where are all the protesters when the raw sewage was being dumped over and over in the St, Lawrence.
Wright whales hit by ships. Mile long super tankers maybe? No carbon tax for OPEC/Saudis.
Imported oil is not taxed on its way into Canada, only Canadian oil is to be taxed up stream and down.
Get your transfer payments from the Saudis. The west should deduct the money spent by have not provinces on Saudi oil. We Should not have any have not provinces. Give em money to give to the Saudi’s.

I wonder how much money The Clown Prince of the Lieberal Party , Justin Mohhamed Trudeaup pocketed for this fiasco?

Mark – you forget who rules Alberta and bc. These left wing ndps clueless idiots like nutley and whoever is premer in BC are so ignorant of the benefits of our blessed oil and gas, you couldn’t begin to talk to them about separating in the west. The witch nutley is following the sock puppet’s and Butts agenda, as well as soros and un and saudis. It is in the evil ndpees agenda to shut down our oil, gas and coal and within 2 years of these baffoons being elected, look at the unbelievable mess we are in now.

When I vote Alberta independence in the next election, I’ll be trying to do something about.

Ontario is a problem.

Kebec is a problem.

Even the four east coast welfare provinces voted clean sweep liberal.

They all hate the west.

I have buddy who runs a large forestry operation and he now refuses to hire anyone who comes from east of the Ont/Man border.

He detests them all.

We need more of that.

Let those eastern bastards freeze in the dark.

Well,,,it may be a good time for the 4 western provincial premiers to get together and have a chit chat regarding our future with everyone east of the Ontario western border!!!

Coderre publicly stated he was glad the Energy East project was cancelled…coming from a man who doesn’t see the problem of dumping billions of litres of raw sewage into the St.Lawrence, repeatedly.
This mayor stinks, along with his glee over the Libs dysfunctional approach to our oil and gas industry.

Butts and the PM from QUE. only do what G.SOROS tells them to do.

Our culture and our country are dissolving right before our eyes and we lack the courage to do anything about it except wait for an election. Pathetic .

R.R….. The most obvious reality about what’s going on is in your words:- “they simply do not give a damn!” .. Butts is “the power behind the throne” and it is his ideology, via Trudeau, that is being manifested…

You can take the last two words of head off.

“I wonder if Justin Trudeau or Gerald Michael Butts are capable of doing simple arithmetic like I have just done… obviously not”

That’s correct, they are absolutely incapable of performing simple math, trademarks of lieberals and ndp’ers.

Even if they know what they are doing to the economy and what it is costing this country, they simply do not give a damn!
As long as they can continue to live off of the future generations of Canadians by increasing the size of the national debt, they will do so.
If this continues, there will be hell to pay for and I know who will left to pay the bill!

But Trudeau and his clique will continue getting kickbacks from the Saudi despots known as OPEC and the American oil companies operating clandestinely in the Middle East.
Why do you think the yanks are so keen to send their young men there to die?
To protect the regional peace or to protect the oil industry?
What about the arms manufacturers in the US?
End the war inthose areas and they have no customers ready to purchase their weapons inventories.
Follow the money.

So if Quebecers use 200 million barrels of oil per year with a cost of say $50 / barrel US then this comes to approximately (200,000,000 times $50 times the exchange rate of 1.25) $12.5 billion leaving Canada every year to pay for the oil. The Maritimes with an approx. population of 2.3 million and assuming they use the same quantity of oil per person then this comes to an additional 56 million barrels of oil per year which equates to $3.5 billion leaving Canada per year to pay for the imported oil.
So Trudeau is letting a total of $16 billion leave our economy every year with no net reduction in our green house gas generation. If you have studied economics you know that money can have a multiplier effect so $16 billion could be worth a lot more to Canada’s economy. But that would take some common sense to see that.
I wonder if Justin Trudeau or Gerald Michael Butts are capable of doing simple arithmetic like I have just done… obviously not. Justin with no completed degree and Butts with 2 degrees in English Literature (I bet he can do a really good book report) simply lack any sense of what they are doing to our economy.
