Environmentalist lodges human rights complaint against Trudeau, and he only has himself to blame

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Environmentalists in British Columbia are taking their concerns about the Kinder Morgan pipeline to a human rights tribunal, and they’ve named Trudeau, the Government of Canada and pipeline company as parties in their alleged rights violations.

David E. Love, an environmentalist, is leading the complaint and encouraging others to join him. His press release states:

"Under Section 7 of the Canada Human Rights Charter, my, and countless other concerned citizen's rights have been violated. Prime Minister Justine Trudeau -AND- the Liberal Government of Canada -AND- Kinder Morgan Canada Limited have, without concern for health, security or psychological well-being of persons, are a participant or complicit in the conduct threatening the right, where the violation must be a reasonably foreseeable consequence of the government actions."

Yes, Love called Trudeau “Justine,” but I’m not going to correct him.

Love sees the pipeline twinning project as having the potential to end human life as we know it.

I think this complaint is completely ridiculous, but Trudeau should be wary. Love won a human rights complaint against the Church of Scientology in 2014.

How on earth did we get here to a place where violent, illegal protesters are claiming they’re the ones who are insecure in their personhood?

I blame Trudeau. He thinks everything is a human right. Housing, abortion, pronouns - name the left wing cause and it’s either protected or fast on its way to being protected from reasoned disagreement.

Any discomfort is a violation of a human right, instead of what we used to call it: the human condition.

Now the mob, in their weaponized discomfort, is turning on him.

Meantime, while THEREBEL was asleep over the weekend Kinder Morgan decided it was not in their shareholders interests to continue funding a project that has no chance of success given the feckless response from government and law enforcement.
We can’t recognize Canada as a free country when small minorities ,in fact micro-minority control our fate.

Look at all the tankers coming from Saudi Arabia and Venezuela bringing conflict oil with no environmental standards, but no protests there, absolutely none, they get a free pass from everyone. As long as it’s Alberta oil, we will be demonized forever, but make no mistake if these oilsands were down east, well, hallelujah, no environmental studies needed, no protests ever, no 10 year delay. Look at the massive cement plant going up in quebec and ontariowe, these will emit huge emissions, but it’s down east, it’s ok, it’s not Alberta. Time for the west to go, the trouble is I don’t like mainland Vancouver, these guys are beyond stupid. The abuse we take from most of eastern Canada is unrelenting and frankly this will never change.

Yes.. One of their best scams yet.

Sounds like some kind of a scam concocted by the Liberal government.

Greig McKinnon, get out the popcorn and beer is right!

Either this will be the first “whine” that the Kangaroo Court turns down because it paints Justine in a bad light, or it is an orchestrated Butts type scheme where likely the Kangaroo Court will side with the
Enviro-Nazi, and the Liberals will use the ruling as an excuse to cancel the program.
Get out the popcorn and beer.

As somebody who lives within close proximity to the existing, 60 year old, antiquated KInder Morgan pipeline, I am very pleased that it will soon be replaced. For many of us residents along the route, a modern pipeline (with all of the safety improvements that have been developed in the last 60 years) cannot come fast enough.

The beginning of the lunatic fringe turning on itself! The HRC will be in a quandary. Who will they support? “Justine” or the activist? I agree. It will be quite the show!

There’s nothing funny about this… not a thing..!!!! I agree Maurice I absolutely agree with you This is all just a ploy and a set up and it’s going to work

I think this is a ploy, and Trudeau and the globalists are all involved! You can’t believe anything these crooks say.

This snowflake wants psychological distress? The families put out of work should be taking him and the government to court. The Canadian taxpayer who still has to pay equalization payments from a dry well should be taking the enviro nazis to court, real court.
Well, if nothing else this high lights the absurdity of Human Rights kangaroo courts. Maybe we should all make good use of them to highlight that point further.
Good to see ‘Justine’ has lost the enviro nazi snowflake vote too. Poor little gaffer, he is damned if he does and damned it he don’t.

May he, the Dimwit, be hoist on his own petard. Damn, he’s reduced me to name-calling.

Sheila, I agree that the entertainment value produced by Love’s frivolous Kangaroo Rights Commission complaint will be beyond measure if it is at all successful. But the really mean part of me actually wants to see it succeed.

After all, if Love is successful in getting the HRC to even listen to his complaint that his poor fragile psyche was irreparably damaged by Prime Minister Soxenherr (or, more accurately, by Soxenherr’s back-room oligarchs who pull his puppet strings), then most Canadians will have an instant laundry list of complaints to take to the HRC and be able to flood them with complaints daily, at a level that would firmly and finally expose their hypocrisy.

I am talking about Canadians who, as a direct result of the policies of the current set of federal and provincial governments that you have, have experienced real, provable, documented psychological angst.

You could file HRC complaints yourself against PM Soxenherr, for the psychological abuse created by his government’s policies that place job-killing and discriminatory constraints on the oil industry (such as having to account for upstream and downstream GHG emissions on domestic production while giving foreign production a free pass.)

You could file HRC complaints yourself against Climate Barbie, for using the defamatory and psychologically abusive term “deniers” (a term that has definite negative psychological consequences related to the Holocaust) that she can “have no time for” when referring to the one third of Canadians that still have two neurons to rub together for critical thinking and don’t believe in her outrageous narrative.

You could file HRC complaints yourself against the entire Wynne government in Ontario, for creating an environment in which heat-or-eat has become a valid concern for many rural Ontarians. Or for creating a toxic and discriminatory environment in which you are forced to use words to refer to gender that haven’t even been included in the dictionaries in English.

You could file HRC complaints yourself against Gerald Butts and his use of the term “Nazis”, and the more than obvious psychological abuse that entails, when referring to his political critics.

I could go on (and on, and on), but you get the point.

This could be more than entertaining. This could be a lot of fun. Sauce for the goose, after all.

Trudeau will blame Harper and then Mr. Love will get an apology on behalf of all Canadians plus 10.5 million dollars of tax-payer money.

Good to see the fanatics teaching the left that they are not easy to control once they have autonomy.
Pretty frickin hilarious.

Sheila, don’t worry, the mean girl in me is also going to enjoy the show while it lasts!
I’m interested in the response Mr. Love receives for all his trouble….I’m sure he will go public with his outrage.

Sheila, good report, I also laughed.
When you described it as " the two craziest people you know having a argument about who is the most reasonable", you missed the third craziest group we know, the Human Rights Court.

A pipeline company is no more responsible for an ocean spill than a farmer is responsible for obesity. That responsibility is the Federal Govts. , the Coast Guard and the Department of Ocean and Fisheries. Foaming at the mouth about an increase to 30 tankers /month is laughable. Today approx 30 tankers a month travel down the coast with oil from Alaska destined for Seattle. Some of the tankers come within 60 kms of Victoria. Did the Exxon Valdez stop oil tanker traffic on the West Coast ? Obviously not.
The Port of Rotterdam sees 12,000 freighters and tankers annually. The Port of Singapore sees 22,000 freighters and tankers annually. What both places have is a world class tanker movement protocol and emergency response plan. The Port of Vancouver – not so much.
A few years ago a brand new Korean freighter on its maiden voyage spilled oil into English Bay on arrival to Vancouver. The emergency response was lethargic and the initial response took hours before anything was done.
Even though the freighter did not contain a single drop of Canadian oil, people like Mayor Moonbeam of Vancouver foamed at the mouth about Alberta and the Oilsands.
Instead of trying to emulate Ports like Rotterdam and Singapore, British Columbians want to stop the sun from rising instead of planning to deal with its effects.
The only thing on the side of this litigating twit is that the HRC’s in this country have not reached the pinnacle of their outrageous stupidity and lack of common sense . He might meet someone there as stupid as him.
