Environmentalists ally with Russia against Trump

Sheila Gunn ReidRebel Host | The Gunn Show

Once again, the Russians are being accused of funding anti fracking activism in North America.

Republican Reps. Lamar Smith and Randy Weber wrote a letter to the Department of the Treasury alleging that Russia is using a Bermuda-based “shell company”, Klein Ltd., to move millions of dollars through Klein “in the form of anonymous donations” to a U.S.-based non-profit called the Sea Change Foundation. That Russian money is then is given in the form of smaller grants to U.S. environmental organizations for anti-fracking activism.

It’s not just Republicans saying these things. Anders Fogh Rasmussen, secretary general of NATO and former premier of Denmark raised the alarm bells about Russian interference with North American politics via the environmental movement in 2014.

I know we are all experiencing a bit of Russian fatigue but there are very good reasons the Russians would fund these ignorant dirtniks to take down the American economy: economic self-interest.

The United States just surpassed Russia to become the world's leader in natural gas production.

According to Jude Clement in Forbes Magazine:

Fracking is why Pennsylvania is now producing more gas than Canada, and fracking is why North Dakota has been producing as much oil as Argentina and Ecuador combined.”

With all the accusations that the Russians hacked the elections in support of Trump, it was Hillary Clinton who took the clandestine Russian position against fracking - not Trump. In fact, President Trump is the most pro-fracking president in history. A key platform of his campaign was energy independence, with fracking at the forefront of that plan.

It was Trump, the man accused of being a Russia stooge, with the plan to repeal the Obama era regulations that are stifling fracking in America. Fighting Trump’s repeal of those regulations is exactly what Russia is accused of funding environmental groups to do.

But on the flip side, it was Hillary Clinton’s position that changed during the 2016 campaign to the Russian one.

In Edmonton in 2014, Clinton gave a speech that was supportive of fracking- even admitting that she knew Russians were funding environmentalist groups to block and fight fracking in North America. But by the time her presidential campaign kicked off, Clinton was singing a different tune, taking a radical position against clean burning natural gas.

During the Democratic presidential debate Clinton said that if she were in charge, her onerous regulations would result in just a few “places in America where fracking will be able to take place.

The Russians are hacking something, that’s for sure. But it’s not elections. It’s the Democrat party’s stance on American Energy independence.

Liza Rosie the left wing idiots also fail to speculate that maybe the dems had actual dirt to report on and the repubs had little. They always project their failings on others. Still the biggest problem is what you said, they were so careless due to their own arrogance and stupidity, Podesta deserved to be hacked.

I agree Drew and this alliance with the enviro nazis against Trump is further proof. Hillary had no problem shutting down America’s resources……but then again, she and her war monger Republican frenenemies (McCain was positively orgasmic over the possibilities) were gunning for Putin and war with Russia.
From what I understand, the Russians tried to hack both the Dems and the Republicans, however the Republican Party had firewalls which saved them from the attack and the Dems were not prepared so were infiltrated.
I don’t know. It all makes a damn good story. I don’t give any of it any weight.
Is there a country in the world that doesn;t attempt to hack and influence elections?
The U.S. certainly has, they all try.

It is certain however, that Russia has a hand in putting the kibosh on North American oil and gas, Anders Fogh Rasmussen is absolutely right about that. “Obviously”.

Once again i ask the left why they would push for Trump, she was already in their pocket and Trump will stand against them where Hillary and Obama backed down. It is not logical that they would help Trump get elected.

Bill Smith you got that right, of course the dems only care once they can use it as an excuse for their godmother.

The Russians you say? Ya it’s well known for years, the masters of propaganda and social engineering
I mean, they’re probably pushing this media frenzy just to undermine the country whether they were active in it or not.
We are not at war with flesh and blood but principalities and spirituality

Great report Sheila. I do have Russia fatigue, but, I’m not too tired to pay attention to this. Hillary oh Hillary, yep, she’s a crone alright…so old she can’t remember what she says and to who!

The irony is that the US is the biggest influencer of the foreign election.. and other countries have been trying to influence the US elections since at least the 1960’s… it’s all very normal…. however, the so-called Russian collusion is merely a DNC tool to disrupt the Trump administration. Certainly ties to hillary and Russia should be investigated with the same vigor, and moreover, Jill Stein (US Green Party) needs an invasive internal examination.

This morning while listening to the noon broadcast on the BBC I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. You would think that President Trump was the world’s most anti environmental person on earth because of fracking and coal production, The way they talked he was a one man wrecking crew. Of all countries to complain Britain needs to start fracking and develop cheap electric projects they are suffering as bad as we are here in Ontario. The British have put up these bird killing unreliable wind mills all over their country and coastlines. I’m glad I visited Britain before they went mad.

…and that is the truth. I would add that environmentalists ally with Russia against Trump, to stop American oil and gas, and WITH Trudeau to stop Canadian oil and gas.
