In 2015, raids on other major Turkish dailies for exposing complicity between the Erdoğan regime and the Islamic State resulted in two arrests.
In that case, Reporters from Cumhuriyet Daily exposed National Intelligence Agency (MİT) trucks full of weapons and ammunition headed for Turkmen fighters with the Islamic State, busted by border police.
