I am interested as well Peter. The U.S. needs someone with Trumps enthusiasm, that is for sure. I believe he could handle congress as he is a master negotiator,as well as Mexico, China, Russia, Iran, ISIS. I think he would get all sorts of trade deals running smoothly, for the same reason, he understands the art of negotiation. I keep going down the list and there isn’t too much of what he is saying that bothers me. I keep trying to come up with a worse case scenario if he got in, and none of it looks very bad. So what if he has bad hair. Even one term with this guy could turn a lot of things around, or at least get things headed in the right direction.
Having said that, people love to hate and ridicule him. He’s worth 9 billion, but gets no respect. Do you know that saying,“Dogs don’t bark at parked cars”, well Donald certainly isn’t parked.
I have great doubts about the possibility, but you just never know. The pendulum swings, and people are pretty fed up with (parked)Obama.
There are some good people running in the Republican race this time, I’m hoping something good will pan out.
A Trump in the White House would be a good counter if the left were to get in here though. He’d wipe the floor with them.

One can only hope that we will be rid of this mockery of democracy in the coming election. This guy needs hip waders to be able to get through all the BS he is slinging at the voters.

I really like the idea of The Donald entering the race for US President, it’ll make it very interesting. His first question about the costs of the Iraq conflict and the negative results achieved, piques my interest.
Canada needs a better US President.

“Representational voting was invented in europe – where else? europe, the socialist utopia that is ready to collapse financially.
If this ever gets through, expect to see 20 political parties where nothing gets done.” Historically, so true. Look at Greece today. On the ropes and making threats they cannot possibly enable! Of course Trudope never mentioned Proportional Representation. That would leave dictatorship! No need for those pesky elections with their “first past the post” results! Ensure harmony with a repressive Gov’t. This sounds like a Gerald Butts idea, with his “alternative economy”. Alternative Gov’t anyone? Scary!

Why does Dauphin troodo want this? So troodo doesn’t have to merge with the enn-dee-pee.

The vote splitting on the left will hand Harper another majority in October and troodo may be out of a job shortly thereafter.

Even Lieberals will not shoot themselves in the foot if it is something that worked for them! The reason Chretien brought in the per vote subsidy from taxpayers is that Lieberals benefitted for years under the current system. Chretien also intended that the taxpayer then reward the Lieberals for their prowess in dominating elections! Now that somebody else is using that same system, it is not good enough! At least the per vote subsidy is winding down. Let people put their money where their mouths are! Trudope is still trolling for votes.
