Remember Justin Trudeau's expensive junket to New York to see a Broadway musical called Come From Away? The play is based on the story of the hospitality of the town of Gander, Newfoundland in the wake of 9/11 attacks on New York City
The Canadian government was buying tickets for everyone — from Ivanka Trump to executives from Hudson's Bay, Roots, BMO, Air Canada, WestJet, even assorted dictators — at a cost of somewhere in the ballpark of $30,000 to Canadian taxpayers.
Foreign Affairs minister Chystia Freeland, on the other hand, was not invited.
But that didn't stop her from attending "bilateral meetings" — I mean, going to see the play with the cool kids in New York — and making us pay for it.
Watch my video to see the Access to Information documents (below) where confused bureaucrats tried to make sense of Freeland's last minute trip to the Big Apple when she wasn't on the guest list.
