After spending the last while blaming Canadians’ plastic straws for bunging up the blowholes of dolphins in Japan, McKenna’s Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has moved on to their next embarrassing project.
The Liberals want to use “intelligent messaging” developed in cooperation with their buddies at Zuckerberg’s left-leaning Facebook, to talk to your kids about the weather and, of course, climate change.
Our minister of twitter gaffes, poorly spelled tweets and ridiculously staged social media photos, wouldn’t know intelligent messaging if it knocked her off her bike and stole her high heels off her feet!
Regardless, this project follows McKenna’s earlier plan to create a weather app, using Environment Canada data the same way literally every other weather app does, to not only tell us the weather, but to also worry us about how our SUVs are killing the planet.
I’ll take my weather forecast without a side of first world guilt, thank you.
The good news is sixty-five per cent of Facebook users are over the age of 35 so even if McKenna and Facebook get their way and breathe artificial intelligence into their weird and creepy scaremonger bot, kids won’t see it.
The Liberals are targeting teens in their quest to seem fun and hip, but they’re failing. Last year, they spent $16K on Snapchat filters that were used by no one.
It’s time the Liberals learned you can’t buy cool on social media, no matter how much taxpayer money you spend on it.
