Last week, we told you about the high priced moving expenses for a few top level Liberal staffers which were exposed through access to information requests and Order Paper Questions in Parliament.
In one of those responses, Citizenship and Immigration Canada claimed that they did not reimburse any staff for relocation expenses.
Now we know that’s not true.
Watch as I introduce you to Minister John McCallum’s Director of Policy and Deputy Chief of Staff, Bernie Derible, who taxpayers partially reimbursed for his relocation from Bangkok, Thailand.
While the amount taxpayers covered isn’t extravagant, what is relevant is that the government lied.
Dipping at the trough has always been the achilles heel of Liberals so why they aren’t being more careful with taxpayer money is hard to understand.
