Ezra Levant and The Rebel team at CPAC!

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Tonight, instead of a regular show, I invite you to watch all our coverage of CPAC!

The Conservative Political Action Committee's annual event is the largest gathering of conservatives in America, maybe even in the world.

This year, for the first time, a team from The Rebel — including me, John Cardillo, Dr. Sebastian Gorka, Amanda Head and Katie Hopkins —were there: To speak, and to talk to some of the biggest voices in the conservative movement today.

WATCH all our reports from CPAC HERE!

Make Conservativism Great Again.

It’s laughable that The Rebel (or The Toronto Star or CBC) is even doing this that is the point. You would have a better return on investment with slot machines. How can Ezra even pretend that this is legitimate. Oh well I guess what they say is true…there is a sucker born every minute.

Sorry should have been more specific- to cover their pension investing stupidity? Also why the hell should the taxpayer cover that anyways?
commented 2018-02-24 21:05:19 -0500
Andrew which public service union wanted tax money to cover their stupidity?? LMAO!
commented 2018-02-24 21:04:19 -0500
Andrew we are not hard up, and it is you leeches that raid our wallets and create huge debt. The left is asking for free things not us. So spare me your ignorant comment as you suckle off the teat of the taxpayer. Now go be proud of Justin and tell him that giving 750 million away to get 250 million back does not mean 1 billion for Canada.

Vincent you do realize there is a private investor that i quoted int he article? And they said to go for more established forms due to the fact it could be controversial.

@Vincent Cassini…just goes to show that Jews are very clever at creative financing…I remember when I was a business administration student at Mount Saint Vincent University back in the 1980’s …the professor who taught finance had a home made paper dust cover for his teacher’s edition of the department selected textbook (made for him by a student who was a fan) which had a theme “JEWISH ENGINEERING”….that was before political correctness had acheived full anaconda grip…."

Yes, this ones’ very creative indeed. He’s trying to raise money using your goodwill as a substitute for the massive risk premium that would be inherent were he to try to raise the money via more conventional means. Which is to say, that he to raise cash through any other form of private equity, the interest rate he pays would be far higher than 4%. He’s not even guaranteeing the 4% – its a “target” which means that if he doesn’t make the 9% ROI on his movie, the creditor’s out of luck. You’re not even really a creditor, as I doubt you’d be eligible for a portion of the proceeds if they go under and have to liquidate it.

If you want to dabble in private-equity you can get two, three times that return elsewhere … AND creditor’s rights to the collatoral or other assets. Again, the difference here is that he thinks that if you support his cause, you’ll gladly donate the difference to his cause. This is like junior miner investing – definitely NOT a retirement plan, rather something you gamble on with money you can afford to lose. Meanwhile, if that Jr. Miner does hit (possibly literal) gold, you’re going to make a hell of a lot more than 4%.

Meanwhile, I’ll go buy some more Telus stock. It yields 4.3% right now, tax-privileged, has regulatory oversight, and will still be paying that out a decade or two from now.

YES!!! LET’s MAKE INVESTMENT IN PUSHBACK AGAINST THE SJW ASSHOLES OUR FIRST CHOICE IN INVESTMENTS!!!”

I thought the point of investing was spending money. I hate to be condescending (actually, no), but this sort of sound financial planning is one reason why the Deplorables are so hard up in life.

Tammie. As I am not in Province, I cannot attend, although, dearly would love to in making my opinion known. Please update us on what happens.

As for the fiasco in India involving the Gov’t of Justin Castro, I firmly believe the current Lieberal Gov’t should indeed resign and another election held. What the Lieberals have perpetrated in India is beyond despicable! The Atwal controversy is nothing less than a “Trojan Horse” tactic against India! I firmly believe he arrived by way of the Gov’t plane since he has been there from the get – go. Otherwise, he likely would have been denied access to the country.

Off Topic,

Iqra Khalid is giving a M-103 speech in Toronto this evening, anyone who wants to protest her can join others in this protest at 6pm 2029 Gerrard St East.

Also, there are City Hall protests scheduled for April 2 across Canada demanding government be dissolved and an election called.

You do realize that the article is not promoting this as a good investment right? I am using the word sketchy because it is and it doesn’t matter who is behind it right or left. No one is going to make their money back on this.

Private investors didn’t make their money back on most independent films, which is why individuals no longer invest in movies as much as they did in the 80’s and 90’s, but hey happy investing.

You think Hollywood isn’t doing well? I guess the many billions of dollars a year is bad. Disney must be devastated by the 249 million that Black Panther opened with and the up to a billion dollars it will make worldwide. There needs to be a telethon to help save Hollywood.

Wells says the Rebel fund is a legitimate portfolio and he’ll only invest in projects if he thinks Levant’s company will be able to pay quarterly interest on the money that the fund loans out. He’ll make that determination by regularly looking at the company’s books.
Where is the word sketchy????
commented 2018-02-24 02:27:23 -0500
Funny to see the guy who can’t see that Hollywood is not doing well because they cater to one side to much give advice on investing LMAO!
commented 2018-02-24 02:25:50 -0500
Vincent is too dense to figure out that the article is selling their opinion by criticizing stuff they did not push.
commented 2018-02-24 02:22:48 -0500
Vincent whatever helps you sleep at night. Now go hand out money to India.
commented 2018-02-24 02:22:08 -0500
Vincent where does it say sketchy? It says for small retirement investors to be wary. Your own hatred is clouding your judgment. And they would say the same if it was CBC.
commented 2018-02-24 00:49:31 -0500
Did you read the article? There is nothing typical about this as the article clearly stated. Yes movies are funded through private investment in some cases, but not plans like this. The day are long over when you could go to your dentist and have him invest in your movie. This is sketchy at best and the article is saying exactly that.
commented 2018-02-23 23:47:54 -0500
Vincent you do realize every movie ever made required funding and some come from plans like this??
commented 2018-02-23 23:42:34 -0500
Vincent doing what? did you read the article? Most business have investors.

Just seems very odd that The Rebel is doing that. Is this like a back up plan if The Rebel dies?

His were among a very few courses…I could count them on my fingers…that really opened my mind …taught me something usefull…and were in any way “empowering”…

I encountered the nay saying before in the MGTOW movement …that our avowed enemies characterized us us “unedjubacated hillbillies” …when in fact we were the cream of the cream cybertech and legal minds…

YES!!! LET’s MAKE INVESTMENT IN PUSHBACK AGAINST THE SJW ASSHOLES OUR FIRST CHOICE IN INVESTMENTS!!!

Because if that does not work…we have no furture anyway.

Ezra, the Rebel is doing a fantastic job with interviewing very interesting people at CPAC.
