When Justin Trudeau was running for office, Vice’s CEO did a promotional video for him that was so loving, I thought they were going to start dating.
Well, yesterday Trudeau sat down for a new interview with Vice, this time to talk about drugs.
I actually liked their first question:
When was the last time Trudeau smoked drugs?
The PM replied, “a number of years ago.” Well, ten is a number. One is a number. Pretty clever dodge.
But who was the drug dealer? Vice didn’t ask.
And they didn't ask about Chuck Rifici. He's one of Canada’s most ardent pro-marijuana lobbyists and investors.
He was also Director of the national Liberal Party from 2011 to 2016, and the Treasurer of the Liberals during the same period. (Although Rifici says he is not close to Justin Trudeau.)
So Rifici, Canada’s leading marijuana entrepreneur, was the Liberals' key fundraiser.
And now Trudeau’s decriminalization plans could make Rifici extraordinarily rich.
(Scroll down to see an Access to Information request we filed to the Ontario Securities Commission, about the stock prices of marijuana companies, which are obviously impacted by Trudeau’s plans.)
Meanwhile, Trudeau says that Grade 12 kids will be able to order marijuana over the Internet, if provinces don’t go along with his drug distribution strategy.
I’m sure it’s all perfectly fine...
NEXT: Our DC Bureau Chief Jack Posobiec joins me with an update on what happened to him last weekend:
He was assaulted by an Antifa activist, and quickly pressed charges.
Where does this case stand?
THEN: Dr. Charles Burton, Brock University professor and our resident expert on China comes on to talk about Trudeau’s enthusiasm for making deals with Chinese companies, even when the likes of CSIS recommend against these arrangements.
Is there something nefarious going on behind the scenes?
FINALLY: Your messages to me — and an exciting announcement about The Rebel's latest international expansion!
