But that would only be true if we all kept our money under the mattress.
If you spend your money in the store, that helps you and the economy.
If you put your money in the bank, you have savings. That helps you.
Then the bank lends it out for the creation of jobs or the purchase of a house. That helps the economy.
Your shopping and saving activity has far less waste built in than government does.
Next time a politician tells you that they are going to spend your money today so that you will save money tomorrow, get ready to lose even more money...
