The case against sending your kids to university

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

The University of California at Berkeley was once known for academic excellence. Did you know that there is an element on the periodic table, named after them, discovered there in 1949.

Berkeley started to wobble ten years later, though. But at least Berkeley’s early 1960s radicals said they believed in the First Amendment.

Today, Berkeley is a joke.

We’ve all seen the riots against gay libertarian provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos (who is the kind of person who thrived in Berkeley fifty years ago...)

Today? Their Daily Californian college paper ran five essays from students… defending the violence.

But what about half the campuses in Canada, too?

The joke’s on any parent who scrimps and saves to send their children to get a top-flight education — and winds up putting them in a swamp of incoherent Orwellian nonsense.

Buy your kids Shakespeare, an old edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica, and the Bible. That’s enough.

Send them to trade school instead. They’ll actually get a good job, they’ll learn more, and they won’t be turned into the violence-loving, anti-social, unemployable kooks that Berkeley is churning out...

NEXT: Raheel Raza of Muslims Facing Tomorrow comes on to explain why she opposes M-103, the "anti-Islamophobia" motion before Parliament.

(Sign our petition against M-103 at FreedomToOffend.com)

THEN: Our favourite Democrat, Mickey Kaus, joins me to talk about Justin Trudeau's first meeting with Donald Trump this Monday.

(PS: You can get my NEW book about the two men, Trumping Trudeau, in print and Kindle...)

FINALLY: Your messages to me!

Mr Levant: Can you explain to me and my students why promoting and/or directing others specifically to threaten, endanger and especially to kill people, as shown in this broadcast:

is not against the law in Canada? And if not, why not, but if so, who is responsible (or irresponsible) for monitoring and ensuring the enforcement of Canadian Law — and shouldn’t that be a Legal Requirement?

Trudeau in the high arctic …… Time to SIC PETA on him…..
The person to the right of Trudeau was wearing a sealskin coat…….. sacrilegious ! And was the fur framing our uber-feminist’s face real fur …. sacré-bleu… The only way for PETA to avert its gaze and look the other way is to make the Canadian seal-hunt Halal .An Imam blessing the sacrificial slaughter of seals to the most benevolent & most merciful & a fee for his service { the shake-down} is all it will take for progressives to avoid, with a religious passion , all criticism ….

Schools and universities need parent watchdogs who will report the slow but sure liberalization and social engineering going on with our children. Hitler made the young a special project also. Teachers are paid to educate and enlighten, not indoctrinate them into their ideology. Great show Ezra, I enjoy hearing from you and your reporters.

To amplify on a few points here , the Liberals have such a love affair for Islam that they should take credit for their nurturing of a minority , a minority of some 1.5 billion followers. Personally, I refer to the former party of Lester B Pearson as The ISLAMIC LIBERAL PARTY. Out them for whom and what they are. Period.
How do we differentiate ourselves from this misguided leftism , socialism and completely irrational advancement of multi-culturalism (balcanization)) ? Simple. We start calling ourselves TRADITIONAL CANADIANS , HERITAGE CANADIANS or LEGACY CANADIANS.
Trudeau running around the country flaunting his idea of what our values are needs to be challenged. We are not a country of immigrants. we are a country of assimilated immigrants. Or at least we were. And that is how we maintained a stable culture and society.

I have often told friends that University is the place that Christians go to have their faith stolen from them by militant atheist professors who are on a mission to undermine your faith. I’m not afraid of hearing or discussing ideas outside of my own belief system but most of the kids are not prepared for the onslaught lying in wait for them often comprised of highly contrived situational dilemmas which hey want to use as an acid to erode or your core beliefs or at least make them all seem relative. I enjoy some of the debates between more scholarly debaters who more often than not best their opponents.

A few years ago my wife and I ate in an Ottawa restaurant with four law students (Two guys, and two girls ) from U of O at the next table. From their conversation we learned that three of them in were in their fourth year and one girl was articling. We were stunned by their speech and mannerisms. The men sounded like teenage girls, and the women sounded like a cross between little girls and ruptured seagulls. We were so sick of listening to the “likes” and “OMGs” that punctuated their infantile and inane conversation that we skipped the coffee and desert and left early.

They were quite a plug for a university education, I tell ya…..

Well my son is in trade school never been more proud, Universities produce mostly useless diplomas, not all but most, THERE ARE NO JOBS WHEN YOU GRADUATE. what is the point going into debt, for what ? there are already enough unskilled people in Canada, it seems universities only add to that. It really is an easy decision the Rap program in high school has my son as an apprentice with ford of Canada and he is in grade 11, He will graduate as a second year and has no where to go but up. Even if he doesn’t want to do that the rest of his life he has a valuable skill he can rely on to make money. To many seem to think the only path is university they could not be more wrong. Kudos to ford for helping kids get skills they deserve some recognition for that.

I guess you missed it. The guy who hit Sheila is being charged. The black lipped zombie who grabbed Lauren should be, don’t know if she/zit is .

Hey Ezra, how come I never hear of you Conservatives never charging those who physically attack you, but wanting donations for body guards.

If they were attacked the Left would not only charge and jail those doing it, but insist their politicians make laws to protect them from abuse and bully type intimidation in the form of “protest”
commented 2017-02-11 10:59:41 -0500
Why not insist these limited employment, left-wing hate and bigotry promoting liberal arts and social sciences courses be removed like the Left would have done if they were the ones being subject to such intolerance?

Instead, you keep voting PC (Politically Cowardly) Conservatives who will not be fiscally and social responsible because of all the flak they would receive i.e. showing they can be bullied

At the Trump-Trudeau news conference, I’d love to see a reporter ask questions that we all want to hear, such as:
Mr. Trudeau, did you apologize to President Trump for the slander and insults you directed at him in the past?
President Trump, are you concerned about Mr. Trudeau’s mass Syrian migrant intake, 10 times the per capita intake of the US, vetted only by UN officials?
Mr. Trudeau and President Trump, both of you are at polar opposites on the subject of climate change. Will either of you concede that the science is not definitive?
But I digress, without Rebel reporters there, we’re more likely to hear questions about socks and hair styles.

Junior looked comical sporting his personalized faux fur lined parka (he would never wear real fur). The dear boy looked very cold. Gosh Junior, I thought all the ice was melting and the polar bears were all dying. Why the parka? Oh that is right, the report from the NOAA you used as justification to sign the Paris Climate accord and impose a carbon tax is a fraud.

If I have to hear Trudeaus pre-programmed talking point “For those in the middle class & those working hard to join it” one more time I think my head will explode! It’s like nails on a chalk board! Like a Chatty Cathy doll, pull the string & the words come out.
So far as M103 goes, I think that should be a real deciding factor in the next Conservative leadership race. I will vote ONLY for whoever will NOT SUPPORT m103.

i LOVE all the additions on Rebel, even when i move to U.S.A i will still get Rebel! will have a job there so will have ability to do the 250$ a year!!
commented 2017-02-11 09:43:28 -0500
to put it simply, since Canada voted in trudeau & Alberta votes in notley then U.S.A voted in opposite of both notley & trudeau by voting in Trump, I WANT OUT OF CANADA! Nothing will be left of Canada after these “people” are done with it. Canada SUCKS!!!
commented 2017-02-11 04:50:34 -0500
Raheel Raza is correct in saying that m-103 will cause more tension. It is a dangerous game being played. Without words there will be violence. Is this a part of the plan? I just don’t get the logic in it. Not to mention it is a huge imposition on our rights and freedoms. Is it to get us used to having no rights and freedoms? Inch by bloody inch.

Since 9/11 – IN THE NAME OF ISLAM (SATAN): 32,794 Attacks, 210,161 Killed, 293,841 Injured that we know of.

I can already picture Trudeau stuttering next to Donald Trump. It will be beautiful, and the entire world will see it. Lets see how many times he fumbles his words. Anybody interested in doing a count?
commented 2017-02-11 00:35:47 -0500
Michael Campbell on the Rebel—he is top notch on finances. Even the Left in BC like him as they have no idea about numbers. He makes Finances interesting to everyone, and he is not shy about going after Governments.

If we don’t see some sort of apology to Trump for all the trash talk, I’ll be losing a lot of respect for the Donald. Can’t imagine a personality like Trump allowing himself to be condescended to by a small minded playboy like Justin.
Hope your new show is a news program on the stories of the day with a bit more truth than what the MSM divulges. We need to see a good anti-narrative news broadcast.

If they do not qualify for or excel at science, math, economics or business admin, they are wasting their time, mind and life at college which is now a babysitting service for failure to launch arrested development freeloaders who think there is a job market for a degree in psychosis

Send them to community college to get a useful skilled trade

I can remember, when I was young, if you did not make it to university you were a failure, doomed to life as a Carpenter or a Black Smith or perhaps a Taxi Driver. These options were considered uncouth and would cause you to be a black mark on your family name. To avoid this one worked hard at passing the exams required to gain entry into university.
These days, it seems that if you have the money and a large enough IQ, you can enter the university of your choice, take the courses that interest you, and that is it. What you do not realize is that when you graduate, you have become a fully qualified Communist and are entitled to add SJW to your signature.

Thanks to you Ezra. My kid said,"He sure does his homework ". You do in 5 minutes what takes the average person 1 hour. Great show, outstanding guests. I’ve seen all the new commentators, and am very impressed. Thanks for elaborating on my letter, I think that’s 8 now you’ve published, but I’m not bragging. God love you.

The word “protest” is derived from two Latin words: pro = for and testari = to witness or to testify. Thus, to protest is to witness for or make a declaration or testimony of where one stands on an issue, presumably with reasoned arguments. This is another example today of how the left and cultural Marxists change the meaning of words so that “to protest” means loud street demonstrations, name calling and even the acceptability of committing violence to silence one’s opponents.

Paul. Great idea sir – to substitute “Muslim” or “Islam” with “Liberal”. Heck, they support the Islamisation of Canada anyways, so it’s wholly appropriate!
commented 2017-02-10 21:44:46 -0500
Ezra. At election time, it always drives me crazy, how the msm likes to point out that the Liberal ridings – usually inner city – are “more educated”. Would you be kind enough next election, to refer to them as the “over-educated” or “brainwashed” or, as we called them in the 70’s, the “educated idiots” ? I’ll remind you when the time comes.

No no , I say let the loonies have their own university kindergarten safe space , let them drain their parents savings , their parents must know what’s going on
Let this be a public experiment in the leftard approach to education , let Berkeley become the laughing stock
Meanwhile send your children to serious adult world changing education universities

Berkeley for the most part is producing suicide cannibals , the end game plan to destroy the Anglo west
