(UPDATE) Ezra Levant in Paris: "I sense that people know something is wrong but they don't know what to do about it"

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

In my second report from Paris, I'll tell you why I'm skeptical of President Holland's vow to wage "pitiless" war on terrorism and ISIS.

The mood in the city is quiet, almost as if Parisians aren't sure how to think about or respond to the terror attack.

If France was serious about fighting this war, it could. Remember: They're a nuclear power.

But I'm not convinced the country is prepared to do so.

Even my experience landing at Charles De Gaulle Airport wasn't quite what I expected, for a country supposedly at war.

SIGN UP FOR UPDATES on Ezra's reports from Paris.

READ The Enemy Within: Terror, Lies, and the Whitewashing of Omar Khadr, Ezra Levant’s new book about domestic terrorism and radicalization.

Trudeau is already abandoning our allies — and the war on terror

I don’t know why anyone would be shocked! This was and is inevitable when you open your doors to killer heathens. You will hear rethoric and excuses.

Hey Ezra, was that Justin behind you taking a selfie at the start of your report?

Paris is quiet?

Why?

Ezra is in town.

People are running…from him. The Mini-Glenn Beck has appeared.

Though he’s not as creepy as Anderson Cooper, people tend to avoid Ezra as well.

You can tell who lives there and who are tourists/visiting all in how they are walking, talking, etc. Look closely at the film clip at the 1:00 and 2:46 mark. Notice the vacant looks, those are people that live there. Notice how they walk, head down then glance up only when someone nears. Even the child on the father’s shoulders was on the reserved side. That is not good, not a good sign.

The silence is what happens when left wing thinking is forced to confront reality… They were wrong, but they won’t admit it and after a few weeks will continue on following their ideology until eventually they are enslaved by another.

Don’t count the French out, Ezra. They have a well-established habit of using the Foreign Legion to do the dirty work and avoid spilling French blood while still getting the job done.

I say it again, again, and again. An armed citizenry is a safe citizenry.
Where to these murderous scum have their greatest success? At gun free venues, every time!

Well done, Ezra! Thanks for the insights.
I’ll believe Hollande when he actually does something.

Ezra – I seriously doubt the local populace will do anything. The entitled life and the soft easy ways have taken the fire out of the populace.

The military will do as it is told.

However we do not know what is happening behind the scenes in the offices of the leaders. I will give them another 48 hours.

Time will tell, but at first blush I think it is almost like “Oh well, it happened – hopefully it will not happen again.”

Until the next time.

Old Emperor Napoleon would have already been rounding them all up and making plans to clean out Eurabia.

So, I agree with your assessment.

Where is the fire and the outrage? It has been taken from them.

That is what socialism does.

It kills the fire in your belly.

It literally destroys nations and makes them easy pickings.

As we have just seen.

Now they know some of what the Jews in Israel face every day.
To the Islamists we are all occupiers and Kafirs in their caliphate.

Jackson Lourde;

Seriously? Is that really how you feel?
I can understand hate for those who committed the attrocities in France. I don’t think hate is a good emotion or one that should be ever encouraged but I can understand it when terrible acts are perpetrated against the innocent like what happened in France.
Has there been a recent tragedy in your life? If so I regret that and the anguish you are going through but I don’t understand your comments. The only explanation for irrational hate is an evil condition. I don’t say this form a position of moral superiority. I have to deal with emotions of hate myself at times. I have been tempted to hate Justin Trudeau as an example. I have realized how immature and irrational that is. I have come to realize that feelings of hate say something about me and it is a frightening message. The terrorists that committed the killings in Paris are without doubt filled with hate. Most of us limit the emotion of hate long before it gets organized into action that would take the lives of the innocent. But when you combine hate, with a religion that justifies the slaughter of the innocent, and the tyranny of sharia and ISIL we need to be on the look out. No one is safe when you mix those ingredients. Unfortunately it is the innocent who bear the brunt of the consequences. Please be careful you are not another hateful voice adding to their burden.

Jackson Lourde, I can see maybe Ezra as a hero but the rest not so much.

They need to get pissed. The hell with endless candle lit vigils and stacks of flowers where terror struck.
If the government can’t or won’t do all they can to destroy the enemy then the people need to do it for ourselves.
Why wait .Things will only get worse.

Like in Canada the progressives are in denial.

Pitiless? Ha! Like the French Gov’t in 1940 that capitulated to the Nazis? Now, as then, it will be the French Citizen who will have to take matters into their own hands to resist tyranny! The french are a passionate people. I would not want to be on the wrong side of the equation with them!
