Parisians have accepted Muslim terrorism as the new normal

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

I arrived in Paris this morning, and spent the day on the streets trying to get a read on this bleeding city.

I immediately went to Bataclan, the concert hall where 87 people were murdered by Muslim terrorists on Friday night.

France’s president, Francois Hollande, called the attacks an “act of war” and said in response he will “lead a war that is pitiless”.

I’m sorry, but I don’t believe him — and if my observations today were any indication, no-one else does either.

You can watch my short video reports from Paris, by clicking HERE.

If my first impressions of Paris are accurate, Hollande doesn’t mean it, and neither do most Parisians. In fact, the opposite has happened: France has developed a tolerance for terrorism. They accept terrorist violence as the new normal. They’re numb to it now.

Here’s proof. In January of this year, Muslim terrorists launched a series of five attacks that killed 17 people across Paris, including 12 at the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. That led to a massive solidarity march through Paris, with millions of people — including many foreign leaders — swearing it would never happen again.

But it did happen again, ten times worse. By coincidence, Friday night also had five attacks, and the death toll (so far) is 139, with 352 injured.

But there’s no massive march this time, no stream of foreign leaders coming to pay their respects. And even at the actual site of the massacre, the mood was subdued. As you can see in my video reports, there were a few hundred people milling around, but there was no resolve, no conviction, no purpose. Outside Bataclan, a street performer set up to entertain the crowd — and no-one seemed to find it inappropriate.

Down the street at the Place de la Republique, a crowd of perhaps 1,000 gathered. They knew it was a momentous occasion, but they didn’t quite know what it meant, or what to do or say. So they smoked marijuana, sang Top 40 pop songs, and took lots of selfies. There were a few patriotic flourishes — they sang the French anthem, and even chanted “Liberté!” a few times. But it felt more like a festival than a call to action, let alone a change of course.

To be fair, many of those at the plaza were students, who have never been taught a vocabulary of patriotism and have lived their entire lives in a cocoon of political correctness. But what of President Hollande himself and his promise of pitiless revenge? Today, French combat aircraft dropped a grand total of 20 bombs on the Islamic State. He surely killed fewer terrorists than they killed at Bataclan alone.

After the Charlie Hebdo attacks, nothing changed. Unlimited, unscreened Muslim migration continued — including the arrival of two new Muslim “refugees” who participated in the terrorist attacks.

At the plaza, the crowd chanted, “love is stronger than hate”. But Friday night proved that’s not true. And it won’t be true after the next attack, either.

Tomorrow I’m going to get an early start on the day. I’m going to ask Parisians simple questions like: “Do you think France is at war? With whom? Should France fight back? How?” I’m going to ask Muslim migrants, “Do you support sharia law? Do you think the jihad is legitimate?” I don’t know what answers I’ll get — if any. But whatever I get, I’ll show you, on video.

Hi Ezra, just wanted to say (as UK fan of TheRebel) that it’s vital you continue to report the news the msm will never, ever report. What is happening in Europe now is a catastrophe of unimaginable consequences that will affect Europe for decades, generations, to come. The ‘Islamification’ of Europe is well underway, aided by the likes of Merkel and her unaccountable, unelected bureaucrats at the EU. Countless thousands-upon-thousands of muslims, the vast majority of them young military-age men, have swarmed into Southern Europe by illegal means and are being encouraged into the heart of Europe by Germany’s irresponsible and wilfully self-destructive Chancellor. This will not end well. What happened in Paris at the weekend is just a symptom of a much larger disease and I fear that is to come will be much worse.

Thank you for the work you do – please remember that yours is a voice of hope and truth to many well beyond Canada, in a msm dominated by the absolutist, authoritarian left-wing illiberals who seek to close down discussion, hide the facts and re-write the narratives.

“For evil to flourish, all that is required is for good men to do nothing”

Unfortunately there are not enough good men left out there anymore.

Even our Def Mon – who if he is a real “badass” – a totally made up term by cbc and ctv – KNOWS!

If he ever stepped out of his well protected TOC in A’stan – and if he did it was only to go to a government building – then he KNOWS the trouble.

As a Sikh he knows the trouble.

Yet he does nothing in his nice def min office.

That position is a nice place – now HE gets to tell the generals what to do.

He KNOWS the risks we are facing if we bring in the Syrian riff raff.

He KNOWS!

Yet he sits quietly – forgetting he took the OATH that has no expiry date.

And the toy boy continues to put Canada in danger – while the def min fiddles.

And because he does nothing we become more and more and more like france every day.

Toothless and despised by the rest of the world.

Weak and effeminate like france.

“For evil to flourish, all that is required is for good men to do nothing”

I think it was Burke that said that – but there is france now and that is where we are headed.

Look at france – it is Canada to come.

Ezra you nailed it – france is done and now Canada is doomed.

Good morning Ezra. You have a long day ahead of you. I hope you are energized by knowing that all of us in Canada are checking your website regularly for your video updates.

My condensed theory is that the west blames itself for everything, and holds itself responsible for terrorist attacks.

Please ask the parisians if they think Hungary putting up a wall was a good idea or not.

No politician seem to get it here, none of these immigrants should be leaving their country, these healthy young men should be TRAINED to defend their country and stay where they belong, we don’t want them here, we, Canadians are having a hard time surviving with the high cost of everything and the very last thing we need is more money being spent on other foreigners coming here, CANADIANS should come first.

It’s hard for people to focus their defensive response when the real enemy resides in the Palais Bourbon and Brussels.

Sadly, I’d not be surprised if Hyacinth is correct… It is highly likely that we will receive 100K, likely even more. This is the last gasp, kiss Canada goodbye, kiss all sovereign countries goodbye.

“it would be wise of our young leader to hold off on these faux refugee transplants until the parliament reconvenes at least.”

Its a done deal. I wager we will see much more than 25,000, that is just the start. I wager by the end of next year Canadians will be financially supporting around the 100,000 mark if not more. LeBebe is determined to finish what his father started, the destruction of Canada.

Way to put words in people’s mouths, Ezra.

Otherwise, he’s have to say they yelled at him and told him to “Foutez le camp!” The French always know the right thing to say. C’est vrai?

Kelvin is eerily correct. The only reason I’d be nervous about moving to Russia is that the globalist criminals may overthrow it again. Russia would be an instant hellhole if the globalists were in charge, like when they ran Lenin and Stalin.

Globalists hate Russia, because they’ve killed ISIS (CIA) and declared “climate change” to be a fraud. They’re also unapologeticly Christian, and have recently allowed concealed carry.

Putin is no prize, but he beats the shit out of Obama, Cameron, Harper or Trudeau… Til they kill him. He is a serious roadblock to their New World Order.

For the next few weeks the politicians and the media will be threatening those responsible, but only in a very politically correct way.
France will launch a few additional bombing runs in Syria so the politicians can point to what they’ve done in retaliation, the media will revel in it and the politicians will have meetings and will spend more money for a public show.
But, the real problem, Islam and it’s inherent evil, will never be addressed.
After the inevitable next terrorist attack the politicians and media will once again put on their kabuki theater show.

Ezra, I admire your courage, but please tell me you’ve hired at least ONE grizzled, arrogant, chain smoking, Anglo-hating, five o-clock shadow wearing ex-Legionnaire with an itchy trigger finger on a Galil. We need you back in one piece brother.

This JV team has now infiltrated Europe, Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and some even say places like Venezuela, they are already in North America. This is the beginning of the great die off, just the fact of feckless leadership from the world leaders tells me that they are in partnership or in league with these monsters. Governments are elected to protect its citizens not to terrorize them with uncertainty, it would be wise of our young leader to hold off on these faux refugee transplants until the parliament reconvenes at least. I would say that we as citizens should resist this before it is illegal to speak out . The window is closing fast, speak out now before we are muzzled .

anger is the appropriate “feeling” when someone comes into your house and kills your children. Not singing “love is stronger than hate”. Love isn’t stronger than hate. Strength and vigilance are stronger than hate. It’s embarassing to be so weak.

This war is a war against western values. It is very much a religious war. I think the war has been raging a very long time. It is a war of ideas and philosophy. France and every other western democracy has paved the way for the utter lack of response or resolve to stand against this terrorist attack. For the liberal progressive the attrack is justified. This is the fault of Judeo-Christian traditions and values. The culture of freedom, democracy, and rule of law has been undermined by a lazy, spoiled, shallow liberal progressive movement that says the culture of the west is the cause of the worlds problems. It is Stephen Harper that has given cause to ISIS to hate us so. Our defense according to the liberal progressives is to let ourselves be killed and accommodate all cultures as equal. Islam and its teachings are not only as good and reasonable as Christianity they are preferred.
We are asleep here in Canada. They are asleep in France. America slumbers on the couch half drunk on football and Obamacare. If the west wakes up it will be to a very different world than the one our parents hoped for. I think it already is.

It is a pity to say but the French have never had any sense of pride in themselves or their country and have always been cowards in the face of war; they were too busy opening their borders and their cities to jihadists to notice the war brewing around them. They surrendered to Hitler’s invading army in 1940 in 35 days with barely a whimper and then allowed themselves to be humiliated by the Nazis. Even the brave Brits who came to their rescue could not save them from their ennui and unwillingness to bother to wage war against their Nazis attackers. Again, they are calling on the west to come to their rescue while they will remain in a state of shock, led by the ditsy socialist Hollande, and all his liberal predecessors, who stood by while Islamists flooded into the cities of Paris & Marseilles (bit.ly/1E5yh8q) and took over the streets. Silly Parisians hug each other, light candles and fill the streets with flowers EVERY TIME the fanatics blow up their family, friends & neighbors – this is nothing new – then they rush to apologize to the terrorists for having offending them for not making themselves convenient enough targets for another attack. And now we Canadians have one of these same weak, shallow, apologists with a majority gov’t to turn Canada into another killing field for the fanatic butchers.

commented 2015-11-15 21:52:37 -0500
Hey Sean, enlighten us as to what is “tolerant and rational” about a radical Islamic religion who’s only mandate is submit or die. Perhaps you can volunteer go to the head of the (chopping) line and give us a first hand account of the “tolerant and rational” Islamic butchers. Let us know how that goes. Maybe a Liberal selfie, too. Please. Seriously, please. Sigh!
commented 2015-11-15 21:50:31 -0500
Sean Penson, if this is Liberal thinking, we are all dead. So what you’re saying is do nothing, love and be compassionate towards terrorists?? You do realize they want you dead, right. Unless of course you’re one of them. These radical muslim groups have told us over and over and over again they are coming to kill us and take over our countries. They don’t want peace, there is no negotiating and your suggestion is to love them and be tolerant of them? What part of that don’t you get? They have no tolerance. Have you seen the video of them beheading 21 Christians on the beach? How about the video of the Christian children they lined up and shot. I can send you the picture of the woman they beat to death, then shoved a cross down her throat. Go on YouTube and there are tons of videos of their atrocities. That is your tollerance and love.

Ezra; I watched your videos and read your comments above.

I really have to say it. The left has “won”, and we are all screwed on matter how much we bitch. They have dumbed down the new generation, to a point of no return.
These “people” just had there city “attacked”, and many of their fellow country men and women are dead, and all they can do is walk around in a haze?

Then all these young citizens of France / Paris smoke dope and sing top forty songs. WTF?

Well I guess they are French too, they are very custom to surrender. I have to say if this happened in my city or country, I for one wouldn’t be so calm. I mean, I still remember when the towers fell on SEPTEMBER 11th 2001. I was in Calgary and I had my family around, and the first thing I said to my family, was if they hit Canada I will be signing up again and going to war! But I see nothing like that in this younger generation. As I said before, ‘the lefties have won’….

France is numb to Islamic terrorism and yet Trudeau by his actions is welcoming it. Perhaps his State Broadcaster will do a super-doper special on his Prayer Rug, at our expense of course.
commented 2015-11-15 21:44:34 -0500
Woolly headed socialists in the western world will capitulate. They will surrender instead of fight, thinking that being nice to murdering hordes will get them in good stead with them, and they will leave them alone. It’s only when they are facing their death do the finally realize they are wrong. The problem is when these idiots are in power, as they now are in Canada, the USA, and in France, they get large numbers of innocent people killed first because of that idiot ideology of theirs. France is swimming with Vichi french, and they will surrender, as they always have. You are merely witnessing it first hand.

Cliff, I am starting to think Sean works (perhaps volunteers) for a Liberal MP, looking at the tripe he constantly writes it is the basic Liberal style propaganda the Party has been trying to spoon feed the public for several months now.
