How Notley’s NDP is crushing anti-carbon tax dissent

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

So the carbon tax is now in effect in Alberta. The desperate NDP is running million-dollar carbon tax propaganda ads in movie theatres.

But via social media, we’re learning about a new trend in Alberta: public booing when those ads are shown. Not a typically Canadian response. It wouldn’t surprise me if you heard the odd “lock her up” chant break out, too.

People know carbon taxes are a fraud. Left wing Washington State had a referendum on a carbon tax. It lost. Australia repealed theirs and France refused to implement one. People know that paying a higher tax isn’t going to change the weather.

The NDP knows that their only allies in the province, other than the public sector unions, are the media. So when Graham Thomson of the Edmonton Journal mocked Wildrose MLA (and expert on geothermal science) Don McIntyre for saying that the science about “climate change” wasn’t settled, the NDP demanded that Wildrose fire McIntyre.

Can you imagine that?

The NDP are in full “thought crime” mode.

Expect more of this: purging any science teachers who dare to speak out against their global warming extremism, and civil servants being gagged or fired...

NEXT: Along with being a Rebel columnist, Dr. Tim Ball is a climatologist who is also a climate change skeptic. He just got back from advising Donald Trump’s transition team about environmental issues, and tonight we talk about that experience, plus the carbon tax and much more.

THEN: Broadcaster John Gormley on Trudeau's comments about Premier Brad Wall, and why the carbon tax war is heating up between them.

I am terrified to see what my utility bills will be in February, not only for my home, but for my business. I’m hoping the carbon tax is listed separately on the bill, so I can pay everything but that!

There is no reason for a "carbon tax " in Canada . We produce 1.6 % of the worlds emissions but have the third largest forests in the world and the most wet lands ,rivers and lakes .All of which act as a carbon sink . So Canada absorbs more carbon emissions than it creates, we are green as green can be . So if Mr.Trudeau wants to tax us more just call it the ,"New Trudeau raise taxes tax " because that is what it actually is . Problem with taxes with a liberal government is they always go up!

MARILYN NEILSON…. I was too tired to comment on Barb’s post last night. I agree with her suggestion totally. Kudos Barb Harris.

P G…. I wonder what the carbon footprint was for the crane needed to plunk princess Sarah Hoffman on that couch. I hope they didn’t have to take the roof off. Nice communist photo op.

RON VOSS….Thanks for ruining my day. In all sincerity thanks. My next foray into conversation with the Wildrose has gained a lot of ammunition.

I am doubtful about the quote from Brian Jean saying, “carbon taxes are a necessary tool to get our oil and gas to market”, particularly as the Annual General Meeting in Red Deer on October 29th, overwhelmingly endorsed an addition to its policy manual promising that the Wildrose will repeal the carbon tax should it win power. More disconcerting are the collection of quotes by Brian Jean in the past contained in this article by the left-wing Press Progress: http://www.progressalberta.ca/wildrose_carbon_tax_flip_flop

Barbara Harris: Can’t believe that none of The Rebel posters didn’t comment on your excruciatingly and wonderfully insightful comedic invitation to climate change screechers/taxers to your Manitoba 1/4 section.
Perhaps, Al Gore, et al would accept your invitation if you also included David Suzuki?
With any luck at all, all of those posers would freeze to death out there on your land, Barbara, which might result in a bit of a chore for you to get rid of their flabby, useless bodies.
However, it might well be worth it. Perhaps a number of Rebel fans would help you with the garbage disposal.

ROY JEANINE, with respect to “Brian Jean said again, ‘carbon taxes are a necessary tool to get our oil and gas to market’.” Astounding if true. Do you have a source for that supposed quote from Jean?

T A X R E V O L T!!!!
Start in Alberta and Ontario and then lets go ALL of Canada.
Don’t pay any tax until this ridiculous ‘Carbon Tax’ is totally repealed throughout Canada.
What are they going to do to us when we revolt?

Brian Jean said WHAT? "carbon taxes are a necessary tool to get our oil and gas to market”? Strike 3, Mr. Jean, you are out. I hope WR finds someone with a backbone and a brain before the next election, because this is the last straw for me.

Peter Babich—Re Ezra’s secret new Journalist. You want Marissa back; Peter you always want the pretty women. If you don’t watch out , Trudeau will arrest you for not being Politically Correct.

It’s government theft alright, and for Brian Jean to say, "carbon taxes are a necessary tool to get our oil and gas to market”, means he has bought into the lie and thinks we are stupid. He has insulted the intelligence of Albertans more than once, but if he thinks we want the Wildrose to take this route he has another thing coming. What the hell is the matter with him, does he want to lose to Notley in the next election? He is a shoe in if he stays on point, but if he is going soft on us there are no guarantees. There are good men in the Wildrose party but sorry to say its not Jean. Why do most politicians end up selling out in the end? Brian Jean loses this election his career is over in Alberta, just like Redford, Smith, and one way or the other Notley. He will be on the traitor list. Fool.

The NDP are a neo communist tyranny. The tax is nothing but government theft. There is no global warming / climate or whatever flavor of the they call it. Any outfit like NASA that says there is global warming have be rigging the numbers and when Trump gets in there he’s going to clean that nest of rats out and expose the whole fraud.

David Heineken – I do believe the cost to families will be a lot higher than you say. I paid $45 to fill up my tank of gas in our Equinox, by the way, our tank was half full, outrageous. Gas in Whitecourt has gone up 15 cents since before Christmas. Also, since when do we need a garbage punitive carbon tax in order to build pipelines? Hundred were built before without the thieving carbon tax. The stealing, the lies, the deception, I cannot believe how evil, pure evil, these liberals and ndpees are. By the way, this really ticked me off, Brian Jean said again, “carbon taxes are a necessary tool to get our oil and gas to market”. Brian Jean gas to go. He has stated before he is in favour of a carbon tax just not now. Well my response to him is that this pure rubbish from Brian Jean. No carbon tax, no carbon tax ever, just never.

It appears that Brian Pallister is throwing road blocks to Manitoba getting a carbon tax. His intention seems to be to shake the federal government down for more health care funding before agreeing to the stupid carbon tax.

I will crap on your commie tax all i want Nothead.

Anonymous Pallister wants to make his own carbon levy. He just wants no competition.

This is not a Carbon Tax, it is a Save a poor Muslim Tax. Notley and Wynne are helping Trudeau keep his Middle Eastern friends alive and living in comfort.
Justin woke up and realized that Budgets do not balance themselves.

Stay cool Justin, before the Jabberwok awakens.

For our customer’s information; we have to increase prices by about 5% to cover cost of doing business. I’m sure we will loose some customers but we have no choice.
commented 2017-01-05 00:32:04 -0500
Interesting read Dave. I think you’re right. The cost will be much higher than the governments original assessment. Like I trust their math. When Alberta finishes emptying out, that formula will have to be adjusted again and the costs per family will go up even more. I wonder what Alberta is going to look like this time next year.

I can’t wait until the Trump administration gets their hands on Trudeau, Notley, Phillips and the rest of the bandits. It just may wipe those smarmy smirks off those smug little faces.
They take your money, spread 2/3 of it amongst their friends, give you back 1/3 to pay for virtually everything you need, do and move (which now costs you more than it did in 2016) and expect you to believe they are ‘giving it back’. Crooks the bunch of them! Wealth distribution at its most disgusting, a permanent revenue stream they can raise anytime and often, for greedy pockets. How stupid do they think people are? A tax on a tax and then that sum is taxed (gst). Sure if you work for the cbc or any other part of the public sector, what’s a few bucks here and there. It’s for the greater good right? It’s not going to be so easy for the rest of us slobs. Fabrication, just a new way to fleece us.
commented 2017-01-05 00:11:28 -0500
My most current calculation of the cost of the Alberta Carbon tax is $584 per Albertan per year once it is in full swing in 2018. If they do the increase that the PM wants in the future it will be closer to $1,000 per Albertan per year. Somewhat more than they would have you believe. You can find my analysis here: http://heinzegroup.com/insight.htm#16

Great show as always Ezra but just one thing. Could you give more time for Tim Ball to speak. He looked very anxious to give us his thoughts and this guy is absolutely loaded with tons of good info.

Pasting the following, which I posted on facebook a short while ago.

On the eve of Carbon Taxes on EVERYTHING in Canada, I would like to extend an invitation to Al Gore, Leonardo DiCapprio, President Obama, Prime Minister Trudeau, Premiers Rachel Notley and Kathleen Wynne and any other Carbon Tax lover to visit my 1/4 section here in the middle of Manitoba for the winter. I’ve got the land – bring your own tent and environmentally friendly heater. And your own environmentally friendly waste disposal units. I will supply water for a reasonable price + carbon tax + pst + gst. There is a challenge though. You must bring your own bicycles for transportation. You may bring your electric vehicle but I will not provide electricity for recharging. Much too expensive!
We only live 3 miles from town so that should not pose too great a problem for such intrepid souls as those named.
Once you’ve accepted this invitation and survived the winter, I’d love to talk more about global warming and taxes on carbon.
PS. Bring lots of warm woolies and warm boots.

Climate change is real! it’s called GeoEngineering. UN sanctioned. Please read UN doc. Agenda 21, now Agenda 2030. From puppet Tru-dim to your local Municipal Gov. They all comply. 99% of voters have no idea who they are voting for due to main stream media info war on your brain. you have all been lied to since childhood, only a few break through.
Please by all means, comment. God Bless

The key to getting the world back from globalism is to shoot down the hoax of global warming / climate change. The world could get back to normal without the environmental crazies screwing things up.
