(Faith Goldy guest hosts for Ezra Levant…) Do you remember the “barbaric cultural practices hotline”, the Conservative Party’s proposal during the 2015 federal election, to report “honour” crimes and female genital mutilation (FGM)?
The idea was mocked and denounced as “racist” by Canada’s elites.
But we’re now learning from intelligence reports distributed to frontline border officers that FGM is happening in Canada. Practitioners are coming into our country to mutilate little girls.
Officials are screening luggage for razor blades, shards of glass, and strips for binding girls’ legs, and looking out for girls travelling alone from FGM hotspots, in the event they’ve been subject to trafficking.
Despite being illegal in the UK since 1985, the procedure was imported by African and Middle Eastern immigrants; 8650 occasions of FGM were reported in the United Kingdom in one year — that is, one case every hour.
So what about Canada?
We don’t know, because we have never conducted a similar investigation. If he was really a “feminist,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau would order one.
Mark my words:
Just as my African history professor once referred to the practice as “female genital beautification,” a new morally equivalent language will emanate within media and political circles to describe this barbaric mutilation of young girls — a phrase with a more “culturally sensitive” tone.
NEXT: Rebel co-founder Brian Lilley appeared on one of America's top rated TV programs last night, talking about the Liberals' $10.5 million payout to convicted, confessed terrorist Omar Khadr.
Tonight, we discuss the growing anger in the United States over this deal, which saw Khadr essentially being rewarded for killing an American medic.
(PS: VISIT SpeerKids.com where Brian is raising money for the children Khadr left fatherless.)
THEN: Robert Walker, National Director, Hasbara Fellowships Canada, joins me to follow up on a story we've been following from the start:
A textbook being used in Ontario schools that accused Israel of using child soldiers.
