Liberals panic as news of $10.5M Omar Khadr payoff hits U.S.

Rebel Staff

I’m sure Trudeau and his handlers did not expect the national fury that erupted after Canadians learned the details of his $10.5 million payoff to convicted, confessed terrorist Omar Khadr.

According to one poll, 71 per cent of Canadians are against the payment, including a majority of every political stripe.

Well, if you think we’re angry, how about Americans?

It was their soldiers who were killed or injured. And some learned about this payoff on the Fourth of July.

Others heard about it later, after Peter Kent, the Conservative MP, wrote a column about it in the Wall Street Journal, and another Conservative MP, Michelle Rempel, went on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program.

The Liberals’ reaction to this was quite something:

Gerald Butts, Justin Trudeau’s principal secretary, raged that the Conservatives were talking about this deal in public!

Catherine McKenna, a viciously anti-Trump cabinet minister, tweeted that Rempel had single-handedly imperilled Canada’s NAFTA negotiations with Trump.

The Media Party still loves Trudeau, but for once, the regular people, and some American “deplorables” too — well, we’re not loving it, and we’re not letting it go:

For one thing, at SpeerKids.com we're continuing to crowdfund $1 million for the children left fatherless by Omar Khadr.

NEXT: Rebel co-founder Brian Lilley has become familiar to Americans over the last few days, as he's appeared on U.S. media (and even some Canadian outlets!) to talk about this scandal, and about his campaign SpeerKids.com.

THEN: I talk to our Alberta Bureau Chief Sheila Gunn Reid about where her province's "unite the right" efforts currently stand.

More Greenville BS. I just drove through the US on the way back from Slat Lake City this week. Heard many radio shows talking about it and they were outraged. Fortunately they didn’t lump all Canadians in with the Tater Tot.

In theory you are right.. But how many Canadians don’t have access to the Internet anymore or other media as the result of all these taxes that our NDP and liberal governments have brought down on the people making them choose between heat or eat as well as many lost jobs and lost job opportunities due to the draconian measures these governments have levied against our natural resource sector…
Many of them have given up their cable subscriptions, newspapers and other accesses to any media in the effort to make ends meet on tightened budgets..
I know it sounds like only a little bit of cash for a cuppa coffee but it is the means to get it there.
commented 2017-07-19 22:36:13 -0400
If 71% of Canadians oppose this disgusting payoff to Khadr, then they could step forward and donate as little as less than a cup of coffee at McDonald’s to easily reach the goal.

Lee Horsman, I would pay to see such a debate.

I am one of the people who, in the spring of 2011, voted for a young rookie candidate named Michelle Rempel for Member of Parliament in Calgary Centre-North. Quite possibly the best vote I have ever cast in 42 years as an elector. I first heard the name Gerald Butts more than four years later during another election campaign, and during the subsequent 20 months it has been quite amusing to watch him prove the Peter Principle time and again. More times than I can count, actually.
What a blast it would be to watch the two of them in a live-streamed, face-to-face, one-on-one debate.

Why does Trudeau insist on handing money out to terrorists, the Clinton Foundation and foreign governments when some of our own people can’t afford to heat their homes, are homeless, and/or have pressing needs that our government just ignores? The list just goes on of things that need to be addressed right here in Canada. Just for two examples, the government won’t settle up with our Canadian veterans, and the dysfunction in the inquiry into the deaths of aboriginal women.

Steve Hicken, I should add that I don’t think Khadr would have successfully sued the government. There is too much evidence to negate his claims. Tabitha Speer was using a legal strategy in case the recourse I described earlier was needed.

Steve Hicken, I think the American court which awarded that 137 million in damages was thumbing their nose at Obama & Canada too in some respect. This victory in civil court can in theory ensure the widow has recourse to freeze any assets Khadr gains via litigation with the Canadian government. The secret deal prevented this from happening.

Mikey j Greenguy…..What is it with you leftist regressive fucktards that feel the need to post here. You add nothing other than clicks to this site. You all have to know deep down that you’re all useful idiots, really!
As the saying goes,….it is best to let people think of you as the fool than to open your mouth (post) and then leave no doubt.

I will most likely get a ton of backlash for this. I dont agree with Khadr getting 10 million bucks .I also disagree that the American wife should be able to try and collect 137 million because she lost a husband. Why should she be singled out to get a massive reward for loosing her husband. WWI WWII and the following wars tens of thousands of wives lost their husbands and got nothing.

“Canadians do not want a government that gives $10 million to somebody who built a roadside bomb when the same government is refusing to give a benefit to a qualifying veteran injured by a roadside bomb,” Gallant said.

Too bad Rebel Media doesn’t put up a huge SaveTheChristianRefugees sign in Canada like we did for JusticeForChelsey in the UK.

John Ball, very good suggestion.

Ezra, please consider making a dvd on the Christian genocide available on your store. The Christians in Canada who are blind and fooled by the msm need to be woke up. The best way is to sell a dvd that can be shown to church groups who will then see the truth and vote against Trudeau.

I am so tired of Trudeau’s selfies and his phoney hugs and his socks and his photo ops with people like Ryan and Kelly. I hope this sneaky payout to Khadr is the beginning of the end for him. Trudeau is a traitor to this country. He sells us down the river to the highest bidder.

The “media party’s” fortunes (and reputation) are intimately linked to PM JIhad Justin’s political fortunes – IF they cover for him on this and cross the line to oppose Canadian’s righteous outrage over this obvious sleazy act, they will share his ultimate fate – fake PM – fake news

Sheila, looking forward to your coverage of the “unite the right”.

Listen up everybody!
Michael J Greenville is here once again, bashing The Rebel and Ezra. He’s copying the same boring rant about Americans being outraged about the Khadr payout. Maybe he’s Gerald Butts in disguise!!

I think the Governor General should recall Parliament to address the treasonous deal with a convicted terrorist who was born in Canada; holds a Canadian passport, but, is the furthest thing from being a Canadian.
The ship of fools known as the Liberal Party of Canada cannot seem to take responsibility for it’s perversion of justice. Gerald Butts and the rest of Trudeau’s spin doctors are delusional, tweets are not going to convince Canadians this was anything but a despicable action by the government.

Trudeau, a feminist is very concerned about violence against women when it comes to Trump’s so called indiscretions but is fine with FGM, when it comes to young Canadian Muslim girls.

Watch out, boys and girls!
This is another fantasy story trumped up out of nothing by the proven liar, Ezra Levant. Check the facts!

Other than an op-ed column by Peter Kent in the Washington Post, and something on Fox News (which is as fake as The Rebel), there is little coverage of this in the US media.

Then again, Ezra Levant and this website are known peddlers of misrepresentations, lies, and

I hope Trump comes down on Trudolt like a ton of bricks at NAFTA. The ONLY way we voters will give idiot leaders the boot is if we personally loose skin paying for their screw ups.

If NAFTA goes fine, everybody’s going to say, “See Trudeau stood up to the big bad U.S. and won! That’ll teach them to mess with Canada.”

And that little snit will get voted right back in.

It’s going to be harder still on our economy but, when you don’t listen to wiser council, the only other road is the School of Hard Knocks, and that means taking your lumps.
