The Financial Post reports: "Evidence shows immigrants will get fewer jobs as Ontario ratchets up minimum wage to $15.”
Alberta is doing the same thing. But McDonald’s can’t afford $15 dollars an hour to hire low-skill, low-experience workers. So they’ve brought in giant iPads to take orders instead. They’re not the only company doing this, either.
Now a new study shows that minimum wage raises hit everyone hard, but especially immigrants. Employers can’t afford to pay more for people who don’t speak English well, and don’t have skills or experience.
But it’s the express policy of the Trudeau government to continue to bring in low-skill, low-experience, low-English workers to Canada, then dump them in high unemployment Atlantic Canada.
So we’re dooming Syrian migrants to a life of unemployment, but Canadian-born low-income workers and low-skill workers, too.
What about other social services we’re straining, such as food banks and health care?
That’s not economics. That’s Liberal vote-buying.
And it’s wrecking our country.
