“Marketplace” and McLaren: More #FakeNews from Canada’s Media Party

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Two crazy stories for you today. Very different at first glance, but part of the same theme — how the mainstream, liberal media gets away with unethical and false stories every day.

The first stories is one of the craziest things you’re going to hear. It’s by Leah McLaren, a “star” columnist for the Globe and Mail, allegedly Canada’s leading legacy newspaper, owned by Canada’s richest man.

McLaren’s latest column was called, “The joy (and politics) of breastfeeding someone else’s baby.”

I’ll read you some of it. It’s gross.

But nobody at the Globe & Mail thought this column was bizarre.

Only when the public reacted with shock was it taken down.

Leah McLaren got her job at the Globe because her mom worked there, so they probably won’t fire her for confessing to inappropriately touching another family’s baby.

But that’s normal in Canadian media.

Remember Catherine Porter? She’s the child of publisher Anna Porter and top lawyer Julian Porter. She and I had a run in when I was covering a protest, then she falsely claimed in her Toronto Star column that I’d harassed her daughter.

Even the Star’s public editor was shocked by her false story.

(You can watch all the details at, a website I set up for the rest of time, to show what an unethical reporter she is.)

Now here's more fake news:

Remember the disgraceful episode of CBC Marketplace, the state broadcaster’s investigative TV show?

The CBC used your tax dollars to hire actors to shout racist things on the streets, and to entrap passersby into buying “white power” shirts.

Well, even the CBC’s ombudsman was disgusted by that segment, noting in a just-posted official statement:

"The mixing of fiction and fact in a current affairs programme is high risk.”

That’s the mainstream media.

They’re fake news.

NEXT: Toronto Sun columnist Lorrie Goldstein talks with me about the 10 promises Justin Trudeau has broken since his election.

THEN: Scholar Daniel Pipes, president of the Middle East Forum, joins me in the studio to talk about the London terrorist attack, and much more.

FINALLY: Your messages to me!

HEY!!!!…I’m the guy that Ezra quoted who made the complaint to the CBC Ombudsman about the Market Place Race Baiting Episode…I was sent an email of the Review, but didn’t know it was published online!

What really gets me is that CBC had to print FAKE t-shirts, hire an(fake)actor to create a Fake Scenario to create Fake Outrage to prove that there is White Supremacist Racism in Canada…ALL BECAUSE of Trump!…in my opinion to connect dots to Conservatives in Canada…why use Make Canada Great Again T-shirts along side clearly White Supremacist T-shirts???(NO WAY…the LIBERAL CBC trying to demonize Conservatives in Canada…during a Conservative Leadership Race!!!)

Al the while, the BLACK BLOC/ANTIFA/BLM/BAMN are ALL Very Real & and ALL Very Active & have Websites/Facebook pages AND T-Shirts/Flags & other Merchandise!!!!!…

Countless videos can be found of these Groups…in Action…being Intolerant…being Violent…being Fascists!!!

Will the CBC cover those VERY REAL ACTIVE GROUPS??

No need to print up Fake T-shirts, or hire Fake Actors, or create Fake Scenarios for these Groups!!!

Ron Voss, you’re right. Five years after Mohammed went to Medina, he had killed off all the Jews there. (“Convert or I’ll kill you all!”) Islam is quite the “religion”, isn’t it?

Breastfeeding Cheechs’ baby? As if I needed another reason not to vote for Chong!

MUTA WEEN commented, “Their Quran can only be judged within the context of equality with Mein Kampf and The Communist Manifesto , all three being totalitarian dogmatic philosophies.”
As Geert Wilders noted, “Islam is a totalitarian ideology camouflaged as a religion”, Also, explains why the leftists, who claim to be standing up for gays, women, etc., align themselves with the Islamic jihadists. A case of the enemy of my enemy (that is, western civilization) is my friend (at least for now.)

A REBEL FAN commented, "When Mohammed came peddling his new “religion”, they said, ‘Thanks, but no thanks’”, and he, in turn, proceeded to cut their heads off in response.

I think those 7th century Jews in Medina had it right. When Mohammed came peddling his new “religion”, they said, “Thanks, but no thanks.” That’s because they could see right through him. Maybe Islam is a cult or a political movement, but it is no religion.

Allan Peterson, even at a very basic level, Islam is all about the penis. Men can have sex with women, girls, boys, animals, corpses, you name it, and that’s all in the writings. Plus, even the Islamic version of heaven sees martyrs provided with 72 virgins. So, apparently, even after leaving this world, Muslim men have their sexual appetites accommodated. (Although Muslim women are not so fortunate because they are cut.) Everything about Islam revolves around the penis literally and figuratively speaking.

That’s quite the “religion” alright.

Lisa Rosie, it’s easy to get as big as Islam. First, they threaten everyone with death if they don’t convert. Then, they have at least four wives producing numerous offspring. Next, they lie and tell everyone who’ll listen, that it’s a world religion, a religion of peace.Of course, their numbers are going to swell.

We all know there’s fighting in the Middle East, but it doesn’t really help anyone to bring all the migrants here. We’re just importing the problems to Canada. Our economy would do just fine without indiscriminate immigration from aggressive Islamic nations. There’s nothing wrong with getting safe spaces for the people who don’t want to be caught in the wars, right in the Middle East itself and helping them right there in their own environments. Uprooting them all and bringing them to the West isn’t such a compassionate gesture. The West has enough problems of its own.

Islam is a political movement that invokes the power of a deity , a supernatural force to lend credence to its goal of world domination.
The Quran and its teachings constitute a perpetual casus belli against all opposing cultures.
Their Quran can only be judged within the context of equality with Mein Kampf and The Communist Manifesto , all three being totalitarian dogmatic philosophies.
commented 2017-03-28 02:37:58 -0400
“Islam is like a political movement or cult of penis worship than a religion.”

You are correct of course. The deal is that Muslims are supposed to be superior to infidels in every way. Except they’re not. They are behind in every way compared to the rest of the world’s societies. This enrages them and that is one of the reasons they hate us so profoundly. “How on earth can the infidels be better off in every way when Allah is supposed to move us to the head of the line.?” So it is a case of cultural penis envy and it is a religion of cultural penis envy. So you were right on.
commented 2017-03-28 02:17:17 -0400
Rebel Fan I agree completely.

Ezra said Islam can’t be blinked’ away. Of course that is true, but just because the Muslim population is a large one does not mean we have to take in more than we feel like taking into our country. Canada must be cognisant of the numbers. Demographic is everything. Tip that and you commit cultural suicide. We could also stop making special concessions for Islam at the expense of everyone else. It really must stop or we will be living under a partial sharia state. We need to be able to control the Islam we have in our country or they will control us, plain and simple. In order to do that their numbers should be capped. I also believe that immigration for the economy’s sake is a lie. I don’t accept that premise anymore.
Interesting thoughts on Israel. Those numbers put things into perspective.

The Tree i will ask again as has Peter, please show us when he was a convicted liar? And sorry but research does not mean some liberals blog. And he is not lying about these stories ,please prove his lies if he is. Now go accuse our troops of torture like a good mindless left wing fool.

About Islam, it doesn’t really make any difference what percentage of the world population claim to be followers. It can still be wrong anyway.

Erdogan has said that Islam is Islam and there is no “moderate Islam”. So, even if people think they are moderate Muslims, the same Islam still applies to them.

Islam is like a political movement or cult of penis worship than a religion.

Down through the centuries, people were threatened with death or jizyah if they did not convert. Even today, people who want to leave Islam are threatened with death. People weren’t attracted to Islam because of some universal truth they saw in it. They had the choice to convert or die. Coercion is always the order of the day in Islam.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I don’t see it as a real religion.

I have one more thing to say about McLaren. No boundaries.
She has none for herself so she is not capable of respecting anyone elses. A definite post-modernist trait. Anything bloody well goes. Very telling.
Stay away from those sorts. The kind who would sell out their own if it struck their fancy. What she did was a violation. I would have knocked her out.
Did she or the Globe consider for even a second the embarrassment this could cause the now 10 year old son of Chong by publishing such a story?
Amazing she is allowed to write for the Globe at all( oh yeah her mum got her the job) The Globe used to have a reputation to keep.

Look, Tree, if you do not have the maturity to support your lying accusation, then don’t bother posing your libelous comment.

You are only telling me to look it up because you know you are a liar.

It is no wonder why you are too chickenshit to use your real name when you post libelous comments.
commented 2017-03-27 23:24:13 -0400
Peter Netterville : when you asked me that, I told you to do your own research, remember? You haven’t done that, otherwise you wouldn’t be repeating your question.

Oh, I am not at all frightened about saying these things.
commented 2017-03-27 23:18:51 -0400
Hey McLaren, I’ve heard of cougars…………………but you win the prize. And why would you put your finger in a baby’s mouth. And, what has that got to do with politics? And Chong is not a Conservative….. he’s a liberal wannabe. And McLaren is proving herself so incompetent she may qualify for a job at CBC.
commented 2017-03-27 23:06:48 -0400
There must be standards of conduct for columnists and current affairs shows that just aren’t being applied when it comes to people like McLaren, Porter and others. What is the value of an article or a show to the public when the author or creator only self-indulgently exposes her own personal eccentricities, uses her position for personal gain or out and out lies about other people and misinforms the public? There is no value for the public in such pieces. No wonder main stream media is taking a hit.

@ Michael Krchnak

I have asked The Tree to post a comment explaining when Ezra was “a convicted liar”, but as usual The Tree runs away and hides.

The very fact that it is too frightened to post its comment using its’ real name speaks volumes.

Tree???….let’s put this in perspective, you do know what dogs do to trees, that what most here think of you and you posts. You’re a coward hiding behind another fake name, seek help for your mental illness.

I see the phrase listed below commonly on this website. And, well, I just have to make the correction because it is almost always used wrong.

If you intention is to say that your level of caring about a person or topic is at its lowest level and can not get lower then the phrase is …

Correct: “I could not care less”
Incorrect: “I could care less”

I know, nitpicking.
commented 2017-03-27 22:15:19 -0400
- The mainstream media could care less about the truth. They don’t value ethics or integrity. They’re about selling a narrative & nothing else. It’s not a surprise that they attract the kind of “reporters” they do.

- President Trump has been in office for about 2 months & has a lot on his plate & his priority is domestic policy. Too early to draw conclusions about his foreign policies at this time.

- Trudeau has broken more promises than he’s kept. The Liberals in Ontario have been kept in power as long as they have because the PCs haven’t given the voters anything to get excited about. If the CPC puts an actual Conservative in power the federal Liberals will be totally beatable in 2019.

Well, what a coincidence … we don’t want him to have the job either!

Daniel Pipes has a lot of great qualities but his Achilles heel is being a product of the beltway. He’s a gifted man playing in a fixed game.
