Media meltdown over Mike Pence’s marriage says more about them than him

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

Today the Washington Post ran a story about Donald Trump’s vice president, Mike Pence, and his wife Karen. The two of them seem to be inseparable, having fun, and it’s sort of cute.

But one thing about this story has absolutely driven left-wing pundits mad:

"In 2002, Mike Pence told the Hill that he never eats alone with a woman other than his wife and that he won’t attend events featuring alcohol without her by his side, either.”

I’ll show you some of the insane reaction from liberal pundits. For example, here's the editor of the leftist magazine, Mother Jones:

“If Pence won't eat dinner alone with any woman but his wife, that means he won't hire women in key spots.”

(Yeah, nobody tell this journalist that Mike Pence, as governor, appointed a woman as lieutenant governor.)

Hey, do you know who probably wishes her husband never engaged with other women? Hillary Clinton...

Today, feminists and social justice warriors don’t hesitate to make accusations against men, especially men in power with a lot to lose.

So sorry, ladies, Mike Pence’s remark wasn’t an anti-feminist thing to say.

It's the result of feminism.

If only all these shrill harpies could save just one percent of their Mike Pence hatred for, say, those who actually oppress women by the thousand, in places like the Middle East — and more and more, in the west...

TONIGHT'S GUESTS: Aaron Wudrick of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation on Ford and corporate welfare; then Lorne Gunter talks about Justin Trudeau's latest environmental virtue-signalling.

Wow, I can see why you support the rebel..

Such a vague silly comment, Obama & Clinton aren’t ‘evil’ nor is Pence or Trump, they have a difference of opinion, much like you & I I suppose…

This American Political idea that you have to pick a side is not helpful, find the common ground & start from there instead of reading stories based on innuendo & half truths, remember the old saying, “never believe anything you’re told & only half of what you read”

after hearing about Pence ,His wife & President Trump, MAKES ME LOVE THEM MORE!! Good is Trump & Pence …EVIL is Clinton Obama!!!! Whoever picks evil over good is probably evil too :)

It’s not the ‘left media’ freaking out, it’s the right, places like ‘The Rebel’

Mike Pence is not a true Christian, he’s a Political Christian, it’s all a facade, I doubt he even believes there’s a God but it helps to keep the base happy…

Paul said, “- The Pence couple – Married – Heterosexual! – CHRISTIAN!!!! Burn them at the stake!!!”

That really is the whole heart of the issue. The left cannot stand Christians nor Conservatives, so they attack regardless of what position Pence takes.

It says more about the immature left than it does about Pence.

- The Pence couple – Married – Heterosexual! – CHRISTIAN!!!! Burn them at the stake!!! This shows just how out of touch these fools in the mainstream media really are. They sit in their echo chamber & spew their venom on each other & can’t get that they’re the freaks, not the people they attack. It’s actually quite sad when you think about it.

- Socialist economics – throw taxpayer money at a company they decide is too big to fail (which doesn’t even apply to this Ford handout – they’re subsidizing them to compensate for the failed policies they’ve imposed on everyone), get donations to their party from the company in question & their union, jack up taxes further (hey, lets tax the air people breath) and pose for photo-ops & pretend to care about people. Capitalist economics – cut useless regulations & reduce taxes & let the market take care of itself. When US presidents Harding & Coolidge did this (they actually cut the size of government by half) it led to the roaring 20’s – a time of unprecedented economic growth after America had entered a short depression after World War 1

- Green energy is a scam. It’s been a disaster wherever it’s been implemented. Unfortunately, Canada will become an example of this while America dumps this green scam nonsense & prospers.

“Apparently the Liberals are bleeding support to both the right and the left.”

Maybe the Liberal supporters as finally seeing their feet get wet as the Liberal boat sinks.

“Oh, the Tories would win a majority government with 80 seats.”

Maybe there is hope for Ontario. I’ll keep my fingers crossed … until they cramp up, of course.

Hi Peter,
The Toronto Sun article states that the Forum Research poll indicates that the Ontario NDP would run second while the Liberals would be a distant third. TApparently the Liberals are bleeding support to both the right and the left.

Robert said, “Yes Peter, the CINO Party led by Patsy Brown probably won’t be much of an improvement.”

So at least one person reads some of my comments.

Still, I guess a marginal improvement is better than none at all. My guess is that if the Liberals actually do lose the next election, the NDP will take a minority with the Liberals as the official opposition. I know, I am just a depressing sort of guy.

Ron Joseph, yes you are right, the destruction of Ontario began with the election of Dalton McGinty who enacted his Green Energy Act . The result was fourteen years of increasing regulation, taxes and hydro costs that caused businesses to start to leave Ontario. With Obama in power there was some prospect of a more level playing field for Canadian business, but now that Trump has arrived the already established outflow of jobs and talent will only increase. On the bright side, the Toronto Sun reports that a Forum Research poll inicates that if an election was held today the Provincial Liberals would not even win the 8 seats required for official party status. Yes Peter, the CINO Party led by Patsy Brown probably won’t be much of an improvement.

After hearing about the (GROSS) handouts to Ford & Bombardier, I am wondering where the cash is for Alberta & the aprox 200,000 souls who have lost their livelihood.

Rebelation Rebelation commented 11 hours ago, they’d be all over Pence if he had dinner with ANOTHER woman.. Yes indeed, they sure would. Mike Pence is the type of husband most women would LOVE to have. MSM just cannot find anything good to write about any Conservative.

Even global news made Bombardier their opening news segment.

On Green Subsidies, In Part 3 of “From There to Here” I wrote:
It has been my experience that subsidies, special programs like cap and trade, or special taxes distort markets, slow progress and rarely if ever accomplish their stated objective. This is because they distort the market system and businesses start to structure in such a way as to maximize the benefit of the subsidy or program instead producing meaningful developments. When the Kyoto accord came out I had arguments with people about it. Not because I was against the goal, you will recall that back then I was more or less on board, but it was clear to me that the result would be increased emissions at a fairly high cost. Well it was both ineffective and costly. On the subject of subsidies etc., if the government tells me they will guarantee my loans, subsidize my wind farm, tie me into the grid for free, buy all my power at several times market and that I can sell carbon credits, or some combination of the above, why would I spend my money trying to develop a technology that might actually be useful? I would concentrate on how to take advantage of this gravy train. Who cares if the energy I produce is efficient or redundant. We need to put a stop to all these subsidies and programs for all industry as they are always costly and counterproductive.

Robert Mcclellend—I agree that Wynne and Trudeau are responsible for Ontario’s demise, but Trumps name wasn’t even in politics when many companies were packing up and leaving the so-called Industrial Heart of Canada.
commented 2017-03-31 00:12:54 -0400
Mette Reed—-I agree that the only reason Pence would not have dinner alone with a business woman is he respects his wife’s feelings so much that he wouldn’t take a chance at her feeling sad.
Ezra is a great Lawyer inventing the excuse for Pence that "he doesn’t want anyone to get the wrong impression , especially the media. That couple is so in love that they could care less what the media or their neighbors think.
I’m such an expert on this subject, I wonder why I’m alone. No regrets though.

BILL ELDER commented, “A little constructive criticism from a long time supporter – seems the Rebel spends too much time on US politics when we have a pivitol14 candidate CPC leadership race on here – let’ here more profiles and interviews with the candidates and less news items stripped of the net news sites.” I agree with your constructive criticism.

Junior and Wynne have no choice but to hand out the cash to Ford and their union buddies. Companies are already packing up and heading to the US and the exodus will only get worse as Trump steadily reduces the regulations, taxes and energy costs in the States. They must slow the outward flow before it becomes a torrent and the scale of their failure becomes manifest. Ezra is correct to say that they won’t be able to raise enough cash from Canadian taxpayers to counter the benefits of Trumponomics. Canadians won’t be able to pay the taxes required to support crony capitalism as they become poorer and poorer.

I think Mike Pence is to be respected for his loyalty to his wife and marriage. Principles and standards are a great thing. Not seen so much anymore. Good for him!

Trudeau has only one agenda, with the help of the likes of Notley and Wynne, He will bankrupt Canada. He will then call on his good friends for financial help. At this time Saudi Arabia will own Canada.

The reason for the uproar over the Pence relationship is because the SJW/leftists are so hung up on PC culture, they have no clue how to have a great and loving relationship. They’re simply envious.

If you do the math, the taxpayer hand-out to Unifor amounts to about $250,000 per job. Some of those jobs already exist. Very expensive job-saving program.

While the US, Australia, France, Germany, etc. move away from climate change extremism, Trudeau and Barbie go blindly in the opposite direction despite the fact that other world leaders have realized the science is flawed and the world isn’t doomed to melt in the next thousand years or more.

LORNE GUNTER , love your rants
I predict that we will have 8 to 12 more years after the next election of tag team Liberal and NDP governments , because the younger crops of voters believe in this Eco stuff
It won’t stop until it’s too late , the situation will then have Malmöized , and it’s over !

Yeah , that 200,000 ,000 , it’s going to union management , while ford is talking to trump

EZRA ! , love those incriminating clips showing the hipocracy of the anti PENCE LUGENPRESSE

The irony is, that they’d be the first be all over Pence with insinuation if in fact he did have dinner with another woman, as they evidenced by their own freak-out over nothing!!

Sad really. Truth hurts. I share your pain. Good news is that everyone realizes in the end. Faith is a powerful weapon. Keep praying for peace.

Lorne Gunter said, “… if the physics isn’t there [green energy], if the engineering isn’t there it will never work …”

This is something the Liberals, the greenies, the fake environmentalists will never understand. They live in their own bubble of reality where unicorns roam free and pixie dust powers the world.
