A famous BC ski resort is boycotting The Rebel. See how we’re responding.

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

The anonymous, U.S-based hate group Sleeping Giants was set up to get companies to stop advertising on the conservative news site

Sleeping Giants invites bullies to take screenshots of ads on, tweet them to the advertiser, and bully them into quitting doing business with the site.

It’s like a protection racket. And it’s all anonymous, with dark money behind it. George Soros? The Saudis? Who knows?

But now this anonymous troll war has come to Canada. And, of course, they’re targeting us.

To be honest, we don’t get a lot of money from ads; we are built on your subscription fees, and crowdfunding.

Yes, displays some tiny ads, but they’re served up automatically by YouTube and Google based on other sites you’ve visited. We don’t choose these ads.

So the Sleeping Giants boycott doesn’t really make sense.

But the National Post tried to make it into something.

They called up one of the companies listed by Sleeping Giant, the famous ski resort in B.C. called Whistler Blackcomb. You know it’s nice, because Justin Trudeau goes there. But so does anyone from B.C., Alberta, across the country and even from other countries. People of every political stripe, who just love skiing. Skiing has nothing to do with politics.

Except that’s not what Whistler Blackcomb told the National Post. They confirmed that they were going to ban their ads from appearing on

Now, I say again:

Whistler Blackcomb does not have an ad contract with us.

Their ad only shows up if someone who is really interested in skiing comes to our site. The total amount of money we have made from those Whistler Blackcomb ads is less than one dollar.

In other words: Whistler Blackcomb is literally boycotting Rebel viewers. They refuse to show their ads to our 700,000+ subscribers. They don’t like our kind.

So if Whistler Blackcomb doesn’t want to do business with Canadian conservatives, Canadian conservatives might want to repay the favour…

Tell Whistler Blackcomb themselves what you think:

NEXT: Our Alberta Bureau Chief, Sheila Gunn Reid, reported a story yesterday that the rest of the media is trying to ignore:

The fights between Syrian "refugees" and Canadian kids at an Alberta school.

Tonight we talk about her plan to continue covering this story, through Freedom of Information requests and tips from parents.

THEN: Daniel Ghasem Akbari of the Center for Sharia Studies joins me to talk about the Islamic terrorist attack in Manchester, and the aftermath.

FINALLY: Your messages to me!

Ezra Levant is a proven liar. If you do your own research, you will be enlightened. Why, oh why do any of you still listen to anything he has to say?

Maybe Whistler-Blackcomb should look at what has happened to Kelloggs since Breitbart News started it’s boycott of Kelloggs products. Kellogg 1st quarter profit for 2017 was down 4.1 per cent. It’s stock is trading around $72.00 having reached a high last summer in the upper 80’s. Just sayin. "

Fake news (Breitbart has appropriated a pre-existing trend for their own purposes, and bolstered it by presenting very selective data). Kellogg’s revenue has been declining for years. People simply aren’t eating as much cereal as they used to. That 4% decline last year followed a 6% decline the year before.

- Fake news outlets don’t like The Rebel. The Rebel serves the masses around the world, Whistler serves a handful of people. I’ve never been there & definitely never will in the future. Boycotts don’t work, buycotts do. Find out who their main competitor is & promote the hell out of them.

- The enemy here are the globalists. They’re the ones who pushed this mass Muslim migration. They do not care less about the people actually being butchered in the middle east. They don’t care about the problems they’re creating. They don’t care if your children are being raped, molested, enslaved or murdered. That’s the kind of people they are. The Muslim problem will never be solved as long as globalists run things.

- According to the CBC citizens concerned about what happened in Red Deer were all ultra-right white supremacist anti-immigrationists. Don’t be surprised that they’re showing up in places like rural Alberta, it’s about building a Liberal voter base.

So that is what Terry Rudden looks like.

“If You Are Not a Liberal When You Are Young, You Have No Heart, and If You Are Not a Conservative When Old, You Have No Brain” – not sure who said this

Canadian Mongrel said to Tammie, "Not two trolls. Just one using two of its four names that it posts under. Writing style and pattern of posting is obvious. "

I have caught him [Jack] making reference to people that once posted right at the beginning of The Rebel who have not posted for around a year now. I think he used the name Jimmy Da Silva and a few other from that time.

Don’t they think conservatives ski mountain bike and hike? Boy are they wrong! I do, my kids do, their friends do. Whistler Blackcomb are not the only or even the best mountain(s) in western Canada that’s for sure. Bye Bye Whistler Blackcomb, won’t be going back until you stand for free speech, apologise for the insult and take the ban off of the Rebel. We need a truck with a billboard up there so their guests know that they do not stand for free speech.

(Apparently Gene Simmons, of KISS fame has a home in Whistler. He isn’t exactly a democrat to say the least.)

Whistler……ya I used to ski there.

Canadian Mongrel, AS admitted to being a woman, saying she uses a pseudonym because of “casual misogyny on the internet”. She didn’t define what this is. She said," I am a standard issue cisgender female."
AS mainly refrains from using profanity and vulgar name calling in her posts.

I do think the other one uses several names, and you’re right, his writing style is obvious.

Isn’t it very telling, two of Rebel’s resident trolls posted comments on a report which shines a light on the latest anonymous internet troll campaign by Sleeping Giants, here in Canada. Trolls supporting trolls….how very predictable!

Let’s be honest – it’s better for business to be associated with name brands and the mainstream that people recognize over kooky independent or extreme blogs that only bring forth controversy.

It’s actually too funny for words… If Sarah Morden had a clue as to how much of the Whistler/Blackcomb condos were owned by offshore millionaires, who don’t give a big rat’s ass about such issues, she would be squatting in a corner ..

Look at what is happening to Hannity. Media Matters is going after the advertisers on Hannity’s show.

Sheila, keep digging but I doubt you will find anything. I had my childhood in a poor blue collar city. The 1st time, I got beaten by other kids, I arrive at home, crying, my father said to me: stop crying, next time, defend yourself and don’t start the fight, but finish it. Nobody ever beat me again because they knew I wouldn’t cry but make the others run to their homes crying. I don’t condone violence but this was the best forming experiences of my life. It shaped my character and I became a fighter for success and ambition later during my school years and career. The current parents are too protective of their children and the world will not protect them from harm later in their lives. This is one of the reasons why we end up with kids in colleges seeking safe places and ban on hate speech. Parents do not bring up autonomous adults, but victims of society. And the next generation will have to face much greater violence problems than the one before.

Sarah Morden of Blackcomb is a regressive left racist bigot and it seems that her company is too. You know the regressive leftists facilitating islamic killings of children. Does she think that her islamic refugees will have the money anytime soon to spend at her resort, or that only her globalists hate-filled friends do? She’s in for a surprise! It is my pleasure to sign the petition and send it to every high-middle class friend I know. Poor leftists, their twisted ideology has become so much like a religion to them that they are ready to lose big money on it. It is time to fight back.

I wonder where Whistler Blackcomb stands on Climate Change. Are they Politically Correct on that too. If so then I wonder what is the carbon footprint of a ski resort and its visitors? I wonder how they and their customers would make out taking my “Are You a Climate Change Hypocrite?” challenge.

I can’t believe that a Western corporation like Whistler Blackcomb would be taken in by Sleeping Giants then talk about their decision to another news outlet. Talk about a bad PR move!

Pretty easy to boycott Whistlers. Much better skiing to be had at Marmot Basin, Panorama, Kananaskis…even Powder King just outside Chetwynd. Why go to an overpriced resort on the coast when the real experience is the Rockies and Selkirks, particularly if you want back country, and have quality accommodation at uninflated prices?

So go west young skiing person, but not as far west as Whistlers…too many better stops on the way.
commented 2017-05-25 22:07:53 -0400
Ezra the best part of your analysis of the boycott was posting the curriculum vitae of the lodge’s public relations rep….her political history says it all. Can this business afford to loose customers in order to sponser her little display of high horse dressage? We will see. I will sign the petition. I will find out the other resorts affiliated with them and boycott them as well.
