Ezra Levant: Montreal elects “hardline leftist” Valérie Plante for Mayor

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

On last night's show, I reported on the results of Montreal's mayoral election.

Denis Coderre lost his bid for reelection. He's an anti-pipeline Liberal who I'd usually be happy to see lose but his victorious opponent is even worse.

Valérie Plante is even more anti-oil than Coderre. You can tell her victory is a bad omen because it's being celebrated by the NDP and the far-left provincial party Québec Solidaire.

WATCH my video to see why this means Montreal will continue to be run by a left-wing politician hostile to Western Canada.

No one should be surprised by this amazingly rapid decline of the Canadian poli.

Municipal elections never held interest for anyone sensible, save for those who seek an entry-level elected office before leaping into bigger things.

Only the Progressivist-Sodomites have time for this, as they are not gainfully employed anyway. But there’s also the problem of municipal Leftists shaping the national agenda (because the have so much time on their hands) and forcing their nonsense onto everyone else. All they need is JT the terminal teenager to open up the coffers and give them want they want. It’s magic money and is made out of thin air.

Valérie Plante ambitious plans will cost insane amounts of money – looney amounts of money. And she declares the money is there, just give it to her and all will be well. JT’s turf is in Montreal, so he will be at her beckon call. Never has a single mayor held so much power and influence as Valérie Plante.

As billions are showered into Quebec’s drowning cesspool, the rest of Canada will be told to go to hell. Western Canada will soon learn their place – and it’s not at JT’s table.

However, American Manifest Destiny is a real and very fortunate option: join a powerful nation and live your wildest dreams of prosperity.

The choice is clear: America’s promise of freedom, or JT’s gulag.

Montreal isn’t much different from Toronto or Vancouver. The majority of citizens obviously want corruption, socialism, and degradation.

Give me a shrug.

As a Western Canadian, I can only congratulate Montreal for electing a forward thinking, progressive mayor.

We’re not all pawns of the energy industry out here.
