After judges try to overturn Brexit, the UK press did something Canada’s Media Party never would

Ezra LevantRebel Commander

In June, 52 per cent of Brits voted to leave the European Union. The voter turn-out was 72 per cent — the highest ever for a UK referendum, and higher than in any general election in nearly 25 years.

But a “Remain” voter filed a lawsuit against the results, heard by three unelected judges.

Look at how the British press reacted.

“WHO DO YOU THINK EU ARE?” That’s the Sun, one of the most popular papers. “Enemies of the people,” screamed the Daily Mail, with the names and pictures of the three smirking judges right on the cover. Even one of the fancier papers, the Daily Telegraph, said: “The Judges versus the People.”

In a democracy like ours, Parliament drafts the laws, and courts are supposed to interpret them, or strike down laws that are illegal.

But in Canada, judges make the laws.

And no media in the country dare to criticize our courts.

It’s unthinkable that four Canadian newspapers would do what these British papers did: name and shame the undemocratic toffs who thought they could overturn the will of 17.4 million voters.

In Canada, most journalists work for the government anyway.

You the voter? Your job is to shut up and pay for it all.

NEXT: Andrew Scheer joins me to talk about his bid for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada.

THEN: Tom Flanagan and I talk about the CPC leadership race, as well as his study on First Nations people.

FINALLY: Your messages to me!

I HATE TO SAY IT BUT I MADE A MISTAKE IN IN BUYING A 5 YEAR MEMBERSHIP IN THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY. NOT ONE OF THESE CONSEVATIVES HAVE A NATIONALIST AGENDA LIKE I HOLD. I DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT I WANT A PERSON WHO WILL STAND UP FOR CANADIAN AND PROTECT CANADA BY STOPPING THESE THROWBACKS FROM COMING TO CANADA JUST SIT ON THE WELL FARE ROLLS. THEY HAVE NO INTENTIONS OF INTERGRATING AND THE BEST THING CANADA COULD DO IS SEND THEM BACK. THE SOONER THE BETTER.
I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR A PARTY THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW THE ABOVE.

Steve Hicken, maybe that’s the problem. Maybe it may be a little more refreshing to have a candidate that attacks the media rather than try to appease them. Just a thought.
As we’ve watched the election down south, the MSM has been taking a beating for their supporting OF Clinton. Everyday there is a pundit on some show somewhere telling off a talking head.

This country’s media is loosing their audiences in droves according to the crtc in which people are turning off the providers and choosing to stream from the internet. And as we know the internet is the lifeblood of the alternative media.

If I was a candidate for the Conservative party I would seek ou the alternative media sites and grant them full access to my platform and say to hell with the mainstream.

I think the Conservatives should boycott the CBC and make it party policy that it will be sold off (perhaps keep some non-news parts). There is still Global and CTV, even though they’re left wing too, they’re not subsidized and therefore have to compete with theRebel and other options. I think one of them will move to the right, or at least centrist, in an effort to improve market share.
The Conservatives have to take a stand. They will never appease JT’s propaganda arm – the CBC and its bottomless pit of taxpayer dollars.

Too bad Canada is such a country of sheep. As long as they’re reasonably o.k., they just go along quietly letting the Liberals run everything when the Liberals are more for foreign interests than for Canada’s own citizens. One day Canadians may wake up to find that everything they had is gone because the Liberals sold them down the river long ago and there’s not a thing they can do about it.

The left and the right do not compete with each other. They are 2 sides of the same coin. Partisan polarization is what causes government not to work. I never post comments partisan one way or the other. I just fool around and you all freak out and post diatribes about arab people, the CBC, and socialism and I’m not even mentioning these fucking things. You’re all a bunch of Psychotic wingnuts who worship Ezra.

Sheer is almost a younger version of Mr.Harper. I think he was being a little diplomatic on some questions for a good reason. Like Leitch you come out too strong you have the CBC all over you like a dirty shirt. Theres time for that stuff later.

- When Bush won the election in 2000 Gore & his supporters had a similar hissy fit. Leftists do this – want endless do overs until they get their way. If they have the mainstream media going against this, I’d say it was a dead issue. The people voted, time to get on with it.

- Andrew Scheer seems like a nice guy & says a lot of the right things as far as Conservatives are concerned. We’re still a long way out but it sounds like he wants to be all things to all people & that’s not possible. Kellie Leitch is still my favorite at this point. Personally, I want an end to this carbon taxing & green scam, a severe cut to immigration until the present groups assimilate & become actual Canadians (then open the doors again – with proper vetting), I want less government in my life across the board, I want an end to taxpayer funding to the CBC – there’s more but that’s a start.

- Governments have been more concerned with making First Nations dependent on the Government than being concerned with their well being (this was likely not always intentional though.)

Centrist please prove that Maurice is wrong if you can. LMAO! I will not hold my breath. And by the way secular socialists , especially communists are the worst mass murderers of history, 160 billion in the 20th century , even radical Islam will take 500 years at their current rate to catch that group. Still that does not mean i will ever bow to sharia.

Commons speakers who do good work as Andrew Sheer likely did tend to poison their brand with their own top party poo bahs for some time afterwards. As soon as he or any of the other candidates mentions the “immigration” word they should be brought up short because they all regularly misuse this word to confuse the listener or viewer.

@centerist Libertarian….please provide a reference to your allegation. Even if it is true it is “argumentum ad hominem” an arguement aimed at the man rather than the facts the men is saying and it would not be accepted as evidence in a court….and it really shouldn’t be accepted in the court of public oppinion.

To me your allegation does not have the ring of truth. If it is true I would like to know what your source is.

The word “Islamophobia” is invoked by people who fear that there will be an ethnic purge in retaliation for terrorism and/or an overbearing expression of manifest destiny……both fears are not irrational so uttering that word as if it was an official mental health diagnosis is non-sense.

The trouble with Canada is the people do not get involved in any way in politics. They work watch the news but turn it off when politics comes on. They have always left politics to politicians. WE never complain to our reps. mainly because we have seen they do nothing but follow party line.

These arrogant clowns may have this backfire if they do not rule the legal way.
